Excellent Bible!

I am currently doing a year-long Bible reading plan and had been using a previous version of this same Bible. Then I received the latest edition and have been enjoying the new features which include topical sections highlighted in green that include numerous character bios as well as spiritual themes and what one can learn from a particular book. I love the application notes at the bottom of each page and how they are so relevant, useful and easy to understand. The master index, 365 day reading plan, concordance, index of maps and the maps themselves are so useful and helpful. I wish the font were a little larger, both for the text and the page notes, but I understand why it needs to be smaller. If you are looking for a Bible that is not only easy to understand but is chock full of helpful and practical resources, I highly recommend this NLT Life Application Study Bible!

As someone who has professed to be a Christian my entire life, I am embarrassed to say that for the first time, I have read the Bible from beginning to end. Throughout my life I have read various parts of the Bible and of course heard scripture at church; however, I never read it front to back. I think I was intimidated by the size but also worried that I would not understand it. If you are like me or maybe exploring the Christian faith, this is an excellent Bible. The notations at the bottom of the pages really help to explain what you are reading and helped remove the concern that I wouldn’t be able to understand it. I still had questions but this was an excellent starting point. I learned so much more about my faith and increased my understanding of what I already knew. It has provided thinking points and guidance in how to live a Christian life. I highly recommend this version and encourage everyone to read this. Also keep in mind, this isn’t a race. I read a little bit almost every day and found myself looking forward to reading it as I wasn’t placing any pressure on myself.

It took me just under two years but I read my Bible all the way through and I am just so grateful for the opportunity and the growth in my faith from reading it cover to cover. I love the set up of this study Bible. The NLT format is easy to ready and understand and I loved the study components. At the beginning of each book was a well written introduction and throughout the Bible was tons of extra study application so you could always read more, which then might lead you somewhere else. The Bible also has great reference guides. My favorites are the names of God and the notes on the different characters in the Bible. Love this Bible and so thankful that God has given us His Word to read and draw closer to Him through!
