Very cute book, but just keep in mind this is NOT the entire Frozen II plot/novelization. This is like...the middle third of the movie, assuming what I know is correct. (Will update after the actual movie releases, lol.)

There are several cute detailed sketch-style art pictures throughout the book, which I really enjoyed.:) The 4 stars is legit simply because this is NOT the whole story, the beginning and the end are missing. No prologue scene, no little Anna and Elsa flashback scenes, no charades scene, no Elsa fighting the Nøkk, etc. And no ending details, my impatient self wants ending details, haha. All that being said, I’d still recommend this book if you’re collecting Frozen books, and I think kids would like reading a chapter book that has some illustrations in it, I know that little me would have!

Disneyn Satuklassikot -sarjaan kuuluva Frozen II-kirja on visuaalisesti huikea elämys ja kertoo uusimman Frozen-seikkailun sanasta sanaan. Tällä kertaa kirjaa ei ole siis julkaistu lipputuloja nostattamaan vaan ihan puhtaasti tarinan itsensä kannalta.

Vaikka visuaalinen ilme on kaunis, se ei silti yllä itse elokuvan tasolle. Laulujen ja muiden tunteita nostattavien kohtausten tunnelataus ei kirjassa aivan pääse huippuunsa, eli kirjasta saa kaiken paremmin irti ensin elokuvan katsoneena.

I always pick up the Junior Novelization of movies coming out if I can. I found this one on Frozen II. I devoured it almost in one sitting. The only thing that stopped me was I had to work at 5:15 a.m. this morning so I fell asleep reading it.

It isn't a bad little book. I still love the antics of Olaf, and Sven. A great read for those who love Disney movies and Disney books. Great for kids to read. A good sister book and how families mean to each other, even after they are not around anymore.

Main surprise: this is not a novelization of the entire movie. It only covers the portion spent in the Enchanted Forest. Also, there are several changes from the movie. I know that’s common for adaptations, but this is a novelization and some parts deviate or are left out to a greater extent than I expected. I wish this covered the whole movie because I’m still confused by the ending and I wanted more explanation. lol

This is a very strange novelization. It only includes part of the movie - a part that would also have been included in the actual junior novel. There's no solid beginning, middle, and end. And while it does add some much-appreciated insight, it also leaves out at least one *major* revelation from the movie.

I enjoyed the extra details that weren’t in the movie. My kids enjoyed having yet another way to hear about Elsa and Anna. I was surprised that it didn’t follow the whole movie - it ends about 2/3rds of the way through the movie’s plot.

This was much better written than I expected, with what seems like advanced vocabulary for the target audience (I approve) and some solid descriptions. Plot is a bit disappointing, as the book is meant to be just a fragment of the film - going for the minimal publiable unit, I suppose.

There was a calling voice to Elsa that leads Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olof to the enchanted forest, where all the spirits are. Will they find the voice? Will they escape danger? I love this book so much.
