Some things in life were inevitable; death, taxes, and lying, whoremongering men. One woman would never be enough for one man. So I traded in men for a Harley. Nothing beats that kind of power between my legs. Then I blinked. And he was there. ~ Some things in life were inevitable; death, taxes, and badge bunnies willing to hop into my bed. The only problem is I’m a one woman kind of man. In my line of work, I’ve seen it all. Nothing bothers me until I find a woman’s wrecked body. When she blinked, My world changed. Forever doesn’t come close to giving me enough of her.
From the author: Enough features my ideal hero, an Alpha-Beta. They are the type of men that will open the door for you during the day and put you up against it at night. Enough is comical, with just a hint of drama. It isn't politically correct and will have you searching your favorite sex toy store. Enough is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhanger. You will meet characters that will reappear in future books.
Before becoming a romance writer, Danielle was a body double for Heidi Klum and a backup singer for Adele. Now, she spends her days trying to play keep away from Theo James who won’t stop calling her or asking her out. And all of this happens before she wakes up and faces reality where in fact she is a 50 something mom with grown kids, she's been married longer than Theo’s been alive, and now get her kicks riding a Harley. As far as her body, she can thank, Ben & Jerry’s for that as well as gravity and vodka. But she says that she could never be Adele’s backup since she never stops saying the F-word long enough to actually sing. Danielle writes about kickass women with even better shoes and the men that try to tame them (silly silly men).
Me getting this book was a happy coincidence. I hadn't signed up for an ARC but was mistakenly sent one and since I had some space on my calendar I thought; what the hell I'll give it a read. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but boy am I glad that I decided to give this one a go. It was SO VERY good.
The writing was excellent. It was well paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. It was funny. It was charming. The sex scenes were hot. I wouldn't say there was a lot of angst or drama (couple wise). There was some OM drama and no OW drama. The secondary characters were fantastic. Kayson's family was a HOOT. I loved his parents and all his brothers. I cannot wait to read all about them (hopefully in upcoming books). I also loved all of Ariel's friends. They were so funny and crazy but in a right way not a psycho over the top way. In fact, they reminded me a little of the Rock Chick group, and if you know me, then you know how much I ADORE those Rock Chick ladies.
Both the main characters were extremely likable. I ADORED Kayson. He was perfect. He was sweet. He was all in the right from the start. He wasn't a saint, but I also felt he wasn't a manwhore. In fact, there really isn't any information about his sex life before Ariel. It made for a refreshing change, and we need more books that focus on the couple without all the unnecessary added details about the hero's past sexcapades. Ariel I loved just slightly less. Mostly because I wanted her to get onboard the loving Kayson train sooner than she did. I understood how her past made that difficult and honestly this is an issue I always have when the perfect hero is paired up with a reluctant heroine. That said, this book was very low on push/pull so I wasn't overly bothered by her reluctance.
Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a lovely ending that had me shedding a few tears. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly and I can't wait to see what this author has in store for us next.
Ariel (pronounced R-E-L) had known nothing but pain and abandonment. She blamed herself for her mother’s deteriorating health and eventual death. Determined to start fresh, she moved to Orlando, the land of happily ever afters. But her happy ending wasn’t as close as she’d like. Luckily she had stumbled upon a knight in shining armor, a sheriff’s deputy, Kayson, who rescued her from some dastardly villains. Amidst some slimy drama and chilling suspense, they worked towards riding off into the sunset together.
Who doesn’t love a hot Greek man?
(Nikos Anadiotis for those who are wondering)
Especially one in uniform. I couldn’t get enough of Kayson and I very much appreciated getting his perspective. While Ariel was in denial about entering a relationship, due to her past hurts and assumptions, he was in no doubt that she was his forever. He really knew how to treat a woman and the author did an incredible job of creating an insanely hot, sensitive, protective book boyfriend in him. And his relationship with his family was something to envy. He was close to each member and it was evident in every interaction. Between trying to trap a crazy stalker, the fun and lively antics of this group of friends, the hijinks of the side characters, and the love story developing behind it all, this turned out to be a highly entertaining read. For a debut book, I’d say this was a huge success and I’ll be looking forward to her next one. I’m excited to see these characters again.
Release Date: November 2, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance POV: Dual - 1st person Heat: 4 out of 5 Type: Standalone
This was a blind cast—one of those risks I take because the cover or cover copy is intriguing and I'm in the mood to gamble a bit. It doesn't often work out but often enough, it does. So I keep on. So it's no great loss that this turns out to be a huge miss. The setup is an interesting one because the author gives us a hero who is not, I repeat not a complete commitment-phobe. There's more than a little instalove (not lust, actual love) when he meets Ariel, but I'm willing to roll with it.
Only. They're all complete idiots. Bad enough when Kayson (is there a silly name generator somewhere that romance authors subscribe to?) takes a pass on meeting the girl he saved just because some random schmoe happens to be in her hospital room when he drops by (assuming it's her boyfriend. Because he's an "ass", obviously). But people keep on doing and saying really stupid things. I finally stopped at a little over 40% when Ariel (srsly?), when pressed for details of the home break-in that was fixing to be a kidnapping, thinks "I don't want to relive it, I just want the cops to catch the guys." Girl, you need to examine that statement because you reached the end of my ability to take you seriously when it turns out you actually mean it.
And it's not like the antagonist isn't blindingly obvious. I mean, he might as well wear a neon sign saying "I'm messing with a girl because I'm obsessed with her and can't take 'no' for an answer and want her to feel insecure so she'll accept my 'protection' ." And then Kayson, brilliant idiot that he is thinks to himself "I have a serious hunch that it's this guy but I'd better be careful checking it out." And I'm all, "hunch?!? You have a freaking hunch?!? Dude, it's called 'clues' and he's left about a billion of them, some of which you have already found!!!"
Also, the author has pulled the "convenient interruption" about a half dozen times and that's just sloppy.
I'm sad this didn't work out. But relieved to be letting it go, too.
Going to be totally honest here but that is not what I expected and I mean it the utmost positive aspect there is. When I read blurb I signed up instantly there was no question about it but then I saw that it was the Iron Orchids MC my enthusiasm suddenly waned and I was dreading it a bit. This is not quite the MC read that will reckon with and for me that was fabtastic.
I can say that without a doubt that I really enjoyed this book. Why not five stars you ask? Well I’ll get to that later.
Getting back to now Enough is fast paced, action packed, the right amount of sugar and spice and all things steamy. Thank you, that it was so far in the rom com zone that it got too sickeningly sweet.
I have a wee soft spot for Greek men and Kayson is no different. After a chance encounter and a misunderstanding Ariel & Kayson meet again. Kayson has been obsessing over Ariel without her knowing it so he is completely on board with dating moving in, getting married and babies. He just has to get Ariel on board and well he is sneaky. This is a book that concentrates on the couple there is some other drama that adds to the story positively.
How many more times did Kayson have to prove that Ariel was the ONE woman for him? IMO ONE too many times and her insecurities were just too much. I really do not know what else Kayson could have done then everything that he had done. I mean seriously he went above and beyond. I also kind of guessed who the dumbarse is. But nevertheless.
On a side note and I never compare authors but there is always an exception so if CP Smith & KA had a mind meld writing style then Danielle Norman has been born. If that makes sense. I would also love to emphasis on the fact that Ms. Norman has jumped successfully from her previous genre to the one that she has aimed for now.
Now get woman there is so much more for you to write. All the brothers, Kayson’s team and well Stella. Nuff said. Read it peeps.
Loved Kayson and Ariel! A really great cast of characters too. Friends and family included. And just the right amount of steam to go with the storyline. I can’t wait to read book two.
★★★✩✩ ⤐ Overall. This was definitely a fun read! I was a put off by the "she was one" thing that was pretty much introducing the reader to the romance. I am not opposed to instant attraction, Gods know I had that, BUT you cannot know you will be with somebody for the rest of your life until you get to know them properly.
⤐ What’s happening. Ariel knows two things for sure: she is a biker girl at heart and her family- and romantic past is fucked up. She came to Orlando to get rid of her hurtful past only to be in a toxic relationship with a certain Brandon - aka psycho loser ex. Finally realizing she is worth more than a cheating asshole, she gets rid of him - although not of the huge pile of self-doubt she carries around every day.
As Ariel almost gets abducted in the parking lot of a mall, a pretty hot dude is her saviour and this lad knows his heart is in serious trouble (looking down on a woman that is about to pass out, kinda creepy). She doesn't see him again until three months later when on an honorary event for fallen police officers. one look at Kayson makes it clear that fella is trouble but even though she is building up a wall around herself every time he tears it down with his cuteness. Kayson is not about to give up.
It was not what I was expecting. The h was very insecure and the misunderstanding about . It bothers me when people don't talk with her significant others when they are troubled about something that involves both of them... For me, this story was just meh with a KA feel about it...
This book was just the epitome of a boring, overdone, cliche romance. It was unrealistic, the female lead was painful and all the side characters were too overdone.
I was continuously getting the one million female (that was without a doubt an over exaggeration) friends mixed up, which may have been because they weren’t fully fleshed out or I just couldn’t care any less about them.
As I've said before, you have to read this book! I've been doing ARC, alpha, and beta reads for this series and it's so great. The chemistry and the characters are realistic, well written, and a hoot to be around. The hero is Kayson. He's a beautiful man that actually has character. He comes from a large loving family. He's what this author calls a true beta, he holds the door for you during the day, but can throw you against it at night! The heroine is a strong character. She knows her own mind. She also has a band of ladies that hold her up when she's down. Between the two of these amazing characters, their family/friends, this book has all the feels. Suspense, intrigue, mystery, well twisted plot, and steamy romance with laugh out loud comedy. This book should be your next romance!
Blurb: ARIEL & KAYSON Some things in life were inevitable; death, taxes, and lying, whoremongering men. One woman would never be enough for one man. So I traded in men for a Harley. Nothing beats that kind of power between my legs. Then I blinked. And he was there.
Some things in life were inevitable; death, taxes, and badge bunnies willing to hop into my bed. The only problem is I’m a one woman kind of man. In my line of work, I’ve seen it all. Nothing bothers me until I find a woman’s wrecked body. When she blinked, My world changed.
Forever doesn't come close to giving me enough of her.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding in 2002 with John Corbett and Nia Vardalos, I've lost count how many times I've seen that movie, it is on VHS, just saying, love every single... i'm curious about the Greek style and culture. A friend, we got together & cook a bunch of Greek cuisine ...lamb, some kind of salad with feta cheese, Baklava for dessert (this is a sort of dessert where u will die making it 'cause it is such a long process but the end results Oh My Goodness, too die for, stick a fork in me, this dessert is so so so yummy, i would so love a piece right now, drool, you know how Homer drool and moans for a donut, well the Baklava will make you drool so so much!!), trying to recall the name of the alcohol we did try? Start with an O?? It was a delicious meal we made all ourselves. so yummy!! So I can see some similarities in this book ... the food, the family, the family in every part of Kayson life. For him being in some one life is normal, doing or seeing them every day, just be helpful ...but for Ariel that is a big huge difference, she has never had so much help and being there. I think it would be fun to have a huge family. We have a large one, but to be included in a Greek family ...that would be awesome!! I think??!
Thankfully there were only a few bits in this book that were so hard to read, like an action packed (not sure what will happen next? who needs to go down, open a can-of-whoop-ass?) movie, or moment, the situation, what Ariel is going through, can not imagine going through those, she is one tough broad. tough cookie! She is pretty focused, has a plan, doesn't let what others think of her mess with what she wants to do. I see biker babes all the time, u think i would miss them? heck no, I kind of shake in my boots, they are tough broads. They always have those cool tattoos, Big Mama, or a spider, or snake.
The character that drives me bananas .... Brandon is a dumbie, What a jerk! But I guess we all have to have an annoying character (in book, in movie, in the real world, 'cause that is just how life is, not every one is nice??! even if they should be?) or one who always does wrong, or is twisted, crazy, needs??!
I've been reading so many books lately with such hot cops in them, where the heck are the real hot cops??!?!?!?!?!?!? ...Never met one in real life, sorry, breaks my heart. Fantasy or realty?
I love this series, can't wait to see where the 2nd and remaining books head. I've always wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, maybe one day??! I think most ladies can do whatever the heck the wanna do, I always think about this, we can do most things that Men can do, well, peeing standing up is a bit weird or odd? but there are a lot of Hot Sexy Ladies out there can do & that Men need to respect and understand, We Ladies Rock, give credit where credit is due! thank you!
I love the Iron Orchids, I wonder how quickly that name came to Danielle?
I am trying to pick a fave character kind of leaning toward Stella ...best friends are the greatest!! Ariel has had such a tough upbringing you truly feel for her and hoping her future turns better? I knew one ginger in my lifetime and when she got older she pretty much lost that bright red hair ...it turn really kind of dark.
I love the humor in this read, Laughter is the best. Laughter to tears, happy tears. Too great! I was so lucky to get the chance to read this beauty before other for my honest humble thoughts, I had signed up to promote it but what a surprise to check it out before others, thanks for this opportunity!!
There are very hot steamy relation scenes. I call them that, 'cause they don't always lead to sex, there are some very hot scene in this read that are just some heavy kissing, wow wee the start of relationship are so HOT aren't they? We all can remember those days. Panty-melting. I love the Iron Orchid moments so so much! Something Danielle said in an interview I was watching last night is that review make or break an author ...okay that shocked me to the core. I know they can change things ...but I never would have taken it that far? really??! I'm never going to review a book & give horrible number or say terrible things, I've always said I will leave those books I don't enjoy for other folks to fall in love with them, they just were not for me & that is totally okay ...but when I love a book you better believe I am going to tell ya. I look forward 2 meeting more of Danielle's characters ... apparently there are so many more ... & girl u got me with that cliffhanger you read on the same interview show on FB, go check it out. Read that sentence again, I didn't say her book had a cliffhanger, I said that Danielle read an excerpt from the 2nd book (a sneak peak into book #2) and she made it so we want to read book 2 now & gave it a bit of a cliffhanger ...see what I mean??! I'm ready now ... book 2 please. I loved this read. Thank you Danielle for making it action packed (I need a better word, that sounds like a man movie, but like you were curious, the 1st few pages were so intense!!) Ariel has some character ... it's that red hair. Must read series ... glad to have Danielle as a new author in my collection, I will be reading more from her as soon as there is more to check out. ( ;
This is so much more than a rom com, I had so many feels reading this story. All the characters were intricately woven into the storyline. Kayson and Ariel were such a fun couple to get to know. I loved Stella and the crew too!!
Looking forward to more in this series for sure. Love, passion, laughter, suspense all rolled into one, go one-click!!
"I don't care about every woman, only you."
"It isn't that you aren't enough. It's that I'll never be able to get enough of you."
I just found my new favorite romance author. This story has everything: Romance (with a capital "R"), out-loud laughter, intrigue, steamy scenes that entice without being porny, friends, family, and a hero that makes you wipe the drool from the corner of your mouth. So well written, I couldn't put the book down and am really looking forward to the next in the Iron Orchid series. I fell in love with the characters; you will, too!
3.0-3.25 RATING- I'm definitely in the minority with my rating on this one (compared to the many five star reviews that have been posted -most of them by ARC reviewers). Of course, I've loved with a passion books other people have completely loathed and vice versa so...to each their own.
This is one of those books that has a lot of the ingredients I like in a romance (instant attraction, a hero that falls hard, a vulnerable heroine) but just didn't come together like I expect a four star or better read should. It reminded me a little bit of an Aurora Rose Reynolds book -the story's okay but could be so much better with some toning down of drama, tightening up of plot, developing the romance a bit more... just the things that make a solid read for me.
This is the authors debut novel - so there's potential here. While the next book won't be at the top of my TBR list, I may take a peak when it releases just to see how things shape up next time.
Danielle Norman brings you a classic rescue story about a sexy Greek cop and a wounded southern belle. There's nothing that Kayson won't do for Ariel, and he's determined to show her that not all men are scoundrels. Surrounded by her group of girlfriends, Ariel has an incredible support system to help her through her trials and tribulations. Reading through the Iron Orchids shenanigans, I was wishing I was a part of their "gang". ("It's NOT a gang!!!" Inside joke ;) ) Though the flow of the novel isn't 100% on point, sort of jumping from scene too scene a little too quick for my taste, it is well written and you fall in love with the characters. This novel is chuck full of drama, friendship, love and laughs and is an absolute must read. I am really looking forward to the next installment of the Iron Orchids Series!!!
'Holy fuck, I had seat envy'. -One of my favorite lines in the book!
I was lucky enough to land an ARC of Danielle Norman's debut book, Enough. Why do I say 'lucky enough'? Because this book was, hands down, one of the best books I've read this year! It is holding the top spot along side Maria Luis's Dare You to Love Me, Derek Adam's Veil of Darkness, and Drew Sera's Everett Gaming Series. There are probably a couple others I can't think of right now.
Anywho, Enough. This book, it captured my interest from the first page. The characters are so well developed that they practically jump off the page. The story line kept me turning the page just to see what was going to happen next. There is just enough angst and intrigue to entice those who enjoy dramas and thrillers, enough sexy scenes to get the erotica crowd going, and enough 'Awwww' moments to make anyone smile. The twist in the book, while I figured it out before the end, I didn't SEE the events that actually took place near the end happening. More than once I had to force myself to put the book down, either to go to bed or to leave for work.
Danielle Norman hit the ground running with the first book in her Iron Orchids series and I, for one, cannot wait to see what other mischief she has brewing in that wickedly talented mind of hers!
Okay. So I met this woman at a book signing. She wrote this book and I liked the premise, so I said, “Hey! Let me buy a copy.” And she let me! I opened the book and read the first paragraph had me snorting. This book hooked me from the first f-bomb! I love the way the characters interact. If I had to change anything, it would have been Ariel’s (pronounced R-E-L, like Robert E Lee’s initials — *snort*) almost insurmountable amount of trust issues. But, then, given that the author writes like my life seems to play out? Maybe I wouldn’t change it! Kayson is sooooo achingly perfect! He reminded me of my sweetie and that made me love him more! I love the way he was so sure and how he helped Ariel work through the storms she was going through until she got to the rainbow she deserved — with him being the pot of gold at the end, of course. I was reading this book and, all of a sudden, it was finished!!! I was all “Nooooooo! It can’t be over! I’m not ready to leave this world yet!!!” I hate explaining plot and posting spoilers, so I’ll jist tell you that I truly enjoyed it and, for a debut author, Danielle Norman did a wonderful job! I will be eagerly waiting for the next book in this amazing world.
Wow. This book blew me away. The strength of each of the characters was absolutely inspiring to see. All of these characters, main and secondary, had strength and independence you don't see very often in books anymore. Ariel was tough, independent, and an all around bad ass. I was so happy to see she wasn't a snivieling, whiney chick. She had some bad apples in the past that made her have thick walls around her heart. That made me impressed with her more. She was sweet, caring, humorous, but made sure she kept her heart locked up. Kayson came knocking on those walls and with a few missteps was able to knock them down. Kayson is your typical Alpha male, yet he's so damn sweet. He was smitten, from the beginning, with Ariel and made sure he showed her in every way possible. Unfortunately Ariel does have a problem. She's being stalked, and threatened. No worries, Kayson is willing to protect her. Even when she doesn't want the protection 😉. I am in love with this book and with Ariel and Kayson. The author brings out all the warm fuzzies with these two and their friends and family. I wanna live in this world, I didn't want to leave it so soon. I wanna be in the all woman motorcycle club! All the ladies are badass and I can't wait for their stories! If you're looking for an incredible romance with a dash of mystery, read this! You won't be disappointed!! Just remember, as a red head I get dibs on Kayson! 😂
I received an ARC of this book. I have to say this book was unbelievably romantic and pulled you into the plot right away. I love that Kayson was so in love with Ariel and was patient with her until realized the same. I would love to see more of these two!
If you're a sucker for a fast-paced romance, enjoy a motorcycle babe, and a Greek hero, then be sure to put this book on your to-be-read list. This quick read will immerse you in the world of Ariel and Kayson, and you'll be naming their children for them by the time you're finished.
The gorgeous hero says, "Staying quiet as I stood on the other side of that door was one of the hardest things I’d ever done." Want to find out the reason it was so hard for Kayson? Read ENOUGH to find out.
I love this book. It has you feeling all emotions through out the book. Makes you mad when the book ends because you want there to be more. my favorite line from the book is the very last line of the whole book. "I'll never get enough of you. " Can't wait to get the next installnent to this book.
Danielle Norman is a fantastic and wonderful author. I could not stop reading Enough. It is funny, romantic, hot and sexy! I could see the characters and picture them as real people. I wanted and want to be with this group of friends. Oh who am I kidding I wanted to also be rescued by Kayson!
OMG! If you like romance novels, this is for you! If you don't like romance novels, this is for you! It was so good! I couldn't put it down! Humor, wit, romance and just a bit of suspense come together perfectly! It never felt forced or drawn out. I highly recommend! It was a fast and fun read and I fell in love with the characters! I can't wait for more from Danielle Norman!
