With a snowstorm on the way, she needs someone to keep her warm…
I had to see her one last time. Fiona’s red hair and luscious curves are etched in my mind. She runs a soup kitchen, taking care of people in need. I want to take care of her. She thinks I’m an ordinary volunteer. But I’m the billionaire who increased her funding.
I’m supposed to be on a plane to Europe. It’s a fresh start and a chance to run the show. I only want a quick visit, but the weather has other plans. We’re forced to ride out the storm together. Things get heated during the cold nights. When the blizzard passes, it’s time to go.
I have every reason to leave. She might be the one I need to stay.
***Stranded with the Billionaire is a romance novel with steamy scenes, no cheating, and a happy ending. It can be read as a standalone.***
Sophie enjoys reading, writing, seeking, and dreaming about romance! She feels most likely to experience the romantic side of life while traveling to new cities, hiking through the mountains, or making new friends.
Fiona and Liam were perfect. Too perfect to be real. Fiona’s bleeding heart and Liam’s billionaire selflessness created a cheesy (but adorable) story.
There wasn’t much conflict outside of the storm approaching, and despite only taking place over a few days, it felt drawn-out. The cuteness of the story couldn’t save it from feeling too long.
This was just an OK read for me. It was a quick read. I just wish there was more. I felt like it was too rushed. And the ending was wrapped up real quick. Throughout the book you know that the next book is going to be with his sister Torie and the last book will be with her best friend Piper. Knowing this, I wish the epilogue was actually about them and where they are months/years or however down the road. Instead, we get more segue way into the next book. I'm not sure if I was intrigued enough to go to the next book or not just yet.
Liam is a billionaire looking forward to a fresh start in Europe ready to run things on his own. Fiona runs a soup kitchen that Liam has been helping fund. He stops by to see Fiona before his flight to say thank you and ends up stranded in blizzard. Sparks fly between the two but what will Liam do, go or stay. Fast-paced sweet romance with great chemistry. I really liked it.
A very lovely, truly romantic tale. Great characterizations, and not just of the two main male and female characters. All the supporting cast were also clearly described and were easy to "view" in the Mind's eye. Even characters that were only in a scene or two also were very easy to picture and "feel"; the reader felt a connection to every character in this story. Exceedingly poignant and tender in a number of places throughout the story.
Upon reading, it felt like there could possibly be at least two more possible snow-bound stories that can be told, coming out of this tale. The foundation has been well laid for the main male character's sister to have her own story to let us know what exactly happened to her during this snow storm. As well, it appears there could also be a tale to tell about the main female character's best friend and her adventures during this same snow storm. Love the idea of the possible interconnectedness of this series; right up my alley, just what I like for romantic reading material.
An excellent story of the heart but not just of the romantic type, but I think most importantly, the heart of the matter in this tale was one of generosity and selflessness. Ms Brooks delved into a community issue that is becoming more and more prevalent in today's society and she did it with dignity and respect afforded to all players in this story.
Just Lovely!
Ps ... and the main male character's sister does get her story told. Here's hoping we get a third story spun off this first book, eh Ms Brooks...
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
WOW! I absolutely loved this book. I’d definitely give it 5+ stars if I could. I’ve actually read a few books from Sophie Brooks and I’ve enjoyed every one of them, in fact I’ve become quite the fan of her writing style. This book tells the story of Fiona, the Director of a non-profit organisation and Liam/William, a supportive billionaire who is moving to Europe to take over a floundering arm of his family business. The plot of this one is exciting and the characters are real and very likeable. The storyline is logical, but not necessarily predictable and fortunately there are none of those, “where the heck did that come from” moments. There’s also just a small hint of more stories developing from tidbits of incidental info included in this story. I’m not giving you anymore of the details, I don’t want to spoil your reading pleasure. Just do yourself a favour, read “Stranded with the Billionaire”, I guarantee you’ll love it as much as I did.

Stranded with the billionaire is such a sweet, endearing with a bit of sexiness and comedy love story, that will melt your heart and leave you swooning and wanting more and more, it was so hard to put down. Absolutely amazing read I loved every page.
Worth more than 5*! I loved this book from the first to the last page. It was as if I was watching it on the screen. Incredibly well described and the atmosphere translated with such precision that the whole story just leaped off the pages. I was totally transported, which in my opinion is the whole purpose of literature. Both of the main characters were very likeable and charming and the supporting characters were not neglected as they often are. The result was that the book was so easy to read and totally impossible to put down. It made me feel good and sympathetic towards the young couple. Liam is a billionaire alpha male with a heart, a decent amount of humility and appreciation of the colossal effort that Fiona, the director of a charity-run soup kitchen puts into providing desperately needed food and provisions for the homeless and the poverty-stricken people in Chicago. Liam pretends to be a volunteer although his company provides the funds to run the charity and naturally there is an incredible sexual chemistry between them. They battle the elements as not one but three snow storms cripple the city and the sub-zero temperatures make their work not only more vital but that much more difficult and dangerous. Without going into details, I think their story is spun brilliantly and there are many unexpected turns to make this totally different from the cliché of the reformed gorgeous billionaire meeting stunning red haired good hearted girl. I can't praise this book highly enough. Is their love affair destined to be a long-distance one? The language flowed freely and descriptively. The editorial team did a very good job, give or take a few mistakes which were minor but didn't take anything away from the overall feeling that this book is a well-written, imaginative story. It is a sexy, witty, intelligent, human tale with a happy ending. Sophie writes with a great style. I have never read anything of hers before but I am very much looking forward to reading the story of Tori, Liam’s sister, and perhaps we’ll also find out why is Piper’s (Fiona’s friend) rescuer is such a closely guarded secret.
Blizzards or not still a good thing to get stranded and fell in love
It’s never late than never. Liam thought it would be better if he met Fiona more early before he decided to go to Zurich. What if destiny says blizzard is the right time to fall in love! Thanks to Winter Storm Hubert, Liam got stranded twice or thrice just to be with Fiona.
A chance in a lifetime to know better Fionna’s kind heart and industrious. Where can you find a lady like Fionna who wears many hats in work. Liam on the other hand realized what he really wants with a partner. He thought happy ever after is in Zurich.
This book is a little long read, slow burn romance and definitely clean! Characters are well defined. I did not mind minor editing at all since my copy is an ARC format. The author writes very well. This looks like a series so I’m pretty sure we’ll be reading more of Liam and Fionna’s in the books.
I’m also betting that Piper and Tucker would have their romance too. Well Tori has! Hopefully there would be wedding bells for Fionna and Liam soon!

This is book 1 of the Snowbound Billionaire series. Although this is Liam and Fiona’s story, we get a glimpse of the future storyline for Fiona’s friend and Liam’s sister whom both are “stranded” by the snowstorm that hits the area.
Liam Price is on his way to Zurich to head up the European operations of Price Mutual, his family’s immense corporation. But he makes a detour to see Fiona for the last time at Victus, the charity his grandfather founded. As director for the charity, Fiona’s loyalty and dedication impress Liam, and as fate has it they both get stranded at Victus during the snowstorm. As Liam’s many attempts to leave for the trip are derailed, it opens up precious time for him to learn more about Fiona and enjoy her company.
The story is a sweet and a slow-burn romance. I liked the storyline and the characters but wished there was more tension with Liam and Fiona’s connection. I’m looking forward to Victoria’s story, sounds like there might be more zing to the ex-boyfriend situation.
❄ B-r-r-r! 💕 Romance to the rescue in a frigid 💨🌁 Windy City😘😌 April 4, 2019 👍4-4.5 🌟stars❄🌇❤ This was a cute, mostly clean romance between two 😇 do-gooders, one uber conscientious and entrenched in supervision of her enhanced food kitchen, the other a budding philanthropist. A snowpocalypse gives them together time and 💘Cupid takes over from there.
Both heroine Fiona and her simpatico billionaire Liam are likable and able to think of the welfare of family, friends and the disadvantaged while building their own warm feelings for each other. Author Sophie Brooks did an excellent job of balancing the romance with other plot threads involving difficulties caused by the storm. I particularly liked the subplot concerning Liam's sparky and snarky sister Tori; I can't wait for her own full-length story☺.
I like the snow stranded plot thread for this series, even more so now that winter has (officially at least) departed😊
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
First of all, I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I love to review a Sophie Brooks story because they're always great! This stand alone is a wonderful story but as I was reading I hoped for two more spin offs based on other characters and it looks like we'll get at least one. I'm very excited about that right now! So, about the story. Our lady Fiona is the director for a soup kitchen slash community outreach center and I just couldn't love that cause any more. I'm an enthusiastic supporter of such programs. Our billionaire Liam has big dreams and a heart of gold. He wants to make his mark, unfortunately, he wants to do it on the other side of the world! Thankfully he makes one last stop to see our fair Fiona and they get stranded together in the center. The love story is so intense and beautiful. just perfect. Liam is a fantastic hero and very easy to fall for. He's great, like really great.
Liam wants to get away from his father so he can do his own thing and has a plan in place to do so. Fiona is the director of a soup kitchen and Liam meets her when his company donates to it. Fiona makes an impact on Liam that helps motivate him towards his own dreams. So before he goes to leave the country he wants to go see her one last time. When he and Fiona are at the soup kitchen they get stranded when a snowstorm takes a bad turn. As they talk while waiting to be able to leave they get closer and soon they are giving into temptation and sleeping together. Will Liam stay and follow his dreams with Fiona at his side? Or will he still keep his original plans and leave?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is a sweet and romantic story about Liam and Fiona’s story. Liam is moving to Switzerland to get out from under his father’s thumb and to expand Price in Europe. Fiona is the director of Victus a nonprofit food pantry. Liam was one of the board members who got her extra funding. He remembers Fiona from meeting her in November and needs to see her before he leaves for good. He decides to be a volunteer like before and with him leaving the next day and Storm Huey on the way, they don’t have a lot of time. He decides he will stay and leave after the first storm passes and before the second one hits. During this time they talk about their dreams and wishes and become closer than ever. The chemistry between them is slow burning until it pops. These two may have different lives, but they fit together like two puzzle pieces. I loved this storyline and the characters are wonderfully written. I can’t wait to read his sister, Tori’s story. She made me laugh in this one.
This was just honestly ok. Took me a while to finish this as I kept getting distracted by other books.
Liam goes to the shelter (that is mostly funded by his company) where Fiona works, to see her 1 more time before he leaves for Europe. And gets stuck there with her as the biggest blizzard hits NY. Liam is a nice guy, a good guy. Fiona...is almost a saint that I wanted to roll my eyes at her soooo many times. Like when she heard a friend was apparently stuck in the middle of nowhere....really? She would've left to try to save her? Where she has no car? No true idea where? Ill-equipped and untrained to book. Sheee.... Thank goodness Liam was there to take over. Sure her drive to help people is admirable...but it's like she has no other life...
Anyway, I read this because it's Sophie Brooks and her stories are fun. But this was just so-so.
I received a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
An honesty in their love and commitment! by sewsummore
This was a book that touched my heart, Fiona was a woman who dedicated her life to helping others. Liam was a billionaire CEO who admired the work Fiona did for the organisation that his grandfather set up. When they ended up stranded together due to s severe storm it was a time of magic for both of them. When it came time to part he put his love for her his and his belief in the work she did, ahead of his ambitions he stayed to help the organisation in a ways she would never have dreamed possible. It was their love for those less fortunate that resonated with me and the time and effort they put in to achieve their goals. There was an honesty in their love and commitment that many people today lack.

What an amazing love story that I could not see ending as it did!! Fiona the Director for a non-profit and Liam the billionaire supporting the non profit through the corporate charity are both passionate about their jobs. Liam is moving to Europe to take over the running of his father's smaller part of their corporation so he can make a name for himself. Liam has a couple of days before moving to Europe so he decides to go volunteer at the non-profit kitchen because Fiona sent him a "ordinary" person's travel kit and Liam thought it was so thoughtful that he wanted to thank Fiona before he left. They get snowed in at the kitchen having to make do with very nominal items for sleeping. You need to get this wonderful book and set how it ends because I was certainly surprised. I am enjoying reading Sophie Brooks and the books she writes.
I read the third book in this series first but enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go back and read the other two.
The billionaire trope isn’t usually my favourite because it feels kind of unrealistic but I really liked the forced proximity setting (they get stuck together in a soup kitchen that Fiona runs) and appreciated that Fiona wasn’t written as the “poor girl who needs saving” which is so overdone in this genre.
I did spot a few grammar errors and this probably could have done with another edit, but on the whole this was really well written. Like with the third book that I read previously, for such a short book this was super well paced and the romance wasn’t too rushed. I didn’t love it quite as much as Stranded with the Stranger, but I would still totally recommend this to anyone who wants a shorter, low angst read!
Fun and a little steamy. A hot sexy billionaire and a woman running a not for profit, centre make for the perfect opposites attract couple. William Price (Liam) has everything, a company, more money then any normal person and a future Running his own company, until a gorgeous redhead and her drop in centre changes everything.
As the head of Victus, Fiona doesn’t have it easy. She works crazy long hours helping those who have nowhere to eat, clothes for the freezing weather in Chicago and support when it’s needed. But one man sets her world in fire, his help and support have made such a difference to her and her team, but that man is leaving, and he doesn’t really know who she is... Until a storm like no other storm crashes into Chicago, bringing snow of epic proportions. One helper, one storm, will change everything.
This romance will make you feel good and restore your belief in the kindness and goodness in others. Fiona is the Director of a nonprofit and devotes all her time and energy into doing everything she can to make the lives of those less fortunate better. Liam is a billionaire who is getting ready to leave for Zurich but wants to swing by the nonprofit before he leaves to see how the increased funding has helped. He goes there in disguise so he can get a true sense of what is going on there. As Liam volunteers his time and works with Fiona the reader gets to learn more about each of them. The time they are stranded together at the soup kitchen is touching, sweet and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next one.
Liam is wealthy, 29, and in the morning, he’s leaving Chicago for Zurich to get out of his father’s thumb. He dons a baseball hat and goes to volunteer at Victus, a food pantry run by Fiona Ryan.
Fiona is 26 and opened Victus. As it’s director, is the heart and soul of her one woman war on hunger, cold and lack of shelter. In other words, she nothing like the vapid women Liam plays with.
With a blizzard looming and Fiona determined to help as many people as she can...will Fiona’s passion change Liam’s mind about leaving? Because he keeps turning up to help her and keeps postponing his flight... Highly recommend for great characters and excellent writing.
I love a new series and this book sets it off on a great start. I really enjoyed reading Fiona and Liam's story as well as loved meeting all the surrounding characters as well. These two have a whole lot of chemistry together which always make for a sizzling read. Even through no one wants to be stranded in a snow storm, if I ended up with my HEA in end, that would not be so bad. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series which I am not certain but the author may have given us readers hints as to who else we are going to get to know more in the near future.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a book that will tug at your heart strings not for the story of the two main characters but for the work that they do together
Liam is a billionaire who lives the normal billionaire lifestyle He supports the work of Fiona a woman who has opened VICTUS a charity that helps the homeless. Liam has a life plan and he follows it religiously that is until a snow storm traps him and Fiona together soon he is looking at charity work in a whole new way and maybe she has found someone who will work with her in the future When it comes to a choice between his life plan and her work which will Liam choose
A great entertaining sweet romance. This interesting story line had me addicted from the beginning with two people meant for each other even though from two different worlds. I tryly enjoyed following their journey of giving into to finding love, their amazing adventures thru mulitlple back to back snow storms, making life changeing decisions with an overall great HEA. The characters were well developed, realistic, and had great sizzling chemistry that could not be denied. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

I absolutely love Fiona and Liams story. Fiona runs a place for the needy to Come and eat and get supplies. There is a huge snowstorm on its way.
She has emailed with Liam but in the emails he went by William. He head of a finance company that gives to charity groups. Liam walks into the shelter to help her. They get stuck in the storm.
Liam is trying to help at the center. Liam changes his ticket overseas where he is going to stay and help her. Will he tell her who he really is? Will they fall for each other? What will happen when he has to leave to go overseas? You will have to read to find out!
Liam has come to help Fiona at the homeless meal and supply place she runs,as it is supported by a charity set up by his grandfather. He's going to Switzerland to take over the European branch of his father's,,company, and figures he can help out with the needs of the soup kitchen as a massive snow storm blows in. Things don't work out quite as planned. Happy ending, but be warned: this is not the clean romance I normally review. Recommended for readers of billionaire romance.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh wow, this story definitely deserves more than 5 stars. When rich boss Liam decides to see the one woman he met only once , little does he realise how his life will change. Working in a homeless shelter is what Fiona loves, plus helping people but when he walks in the door....Liam , she is shocked. Now the fun begins. A story that makes you feel involved as if you know them . Liam helping Fiona in the shelter, their friendship and hopefully romance too. Highly recommended
Stranded With The Billionaire was a quick, super sweet read that makes you feel warm inside despite it being set during 'the snowstorm of the century'. The story is low drama, low angst, and low suspense. Things just move along at a slow and steady pace that is nice and easy to sink into but has the potential to be boring.
Liam and Fiona are both likeable characters and are inherently decent people. They fall in love quickly but it isn't instalove. It's more like their forced proximity heightens things and speeds the getting to know you part of the relationship up.
Fiona has a heart of gold and just wants to make a difference, she's passionate about the work she does running the soup kitchen/food bank (which is funded by Liam's corporation) and Liam appreciates this and her for the woman she is. Liam is ambitious and privileged but he's not an ass and I liked that about him. He's not afraid to wade in and actually work and I loved seeing him fall in love at the most inconvenient time imaginable - for he is just about to leave the country to run his company's European enterprises.
The reason it was a 3-star read for me was that the entire course of the novel was painfully easy to predict and even though it was enjoyable it was completely forgettable. Plus, I didn't like the overly obvious set-ups for future books - one no doubt featuring Liam's sister and another focussed on Fiona's friend - as they detracted from the main story.
Sometimes it’s just Fate! Fiona is a wonderful person who owns Victus, a nonprofit providing food and clothes for the homeless. Liam is one of the major contributors. Before he leaves NY to work in Europe he decides to check out Victus to make sure his contributions are being utilized correctly. Blizzard. Stranded together. What could possibly happen? Great characters, story, and writing make this a MUST read! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Fiona is a woman who works very hard to try and make people who are in need of help make their lives better. Liam is a very wealthy man who had donated to her charity and after catching a glimpse of Fiona became intrigued by her. Liam has a "life plan," however, during a winter storm, Fiona and Liam are trapped together and become more than friends. This is a great read and I highly recommend it.
