Susanna Davidson also writes as Zanna Davidson.

She joined Usborne Publishing almost straight out of university and has been writing books for them pretty much ever since. She has written about everything from dinosaurs to the Queen to Fairy Ponies and tiny monsters, small enough to fit in your pocket. She is also a mum of two boys and works from home, where she spends most of her time talking to the dog and trying not to eat too much cheese.

Daughter picked this up from her school library. Lots of useful info on whales and dolphins (and I learned things too).

3. Original summary: Davidson provides a lot of rich and detailed information in this book. Readers explore the different types of whales, how they care for their young, where they are located, and a lot of fun facts.
4. Original review: This book is sure to enthrall any child eager for facts about the most amazing water-inhabiting animals. Beautiful photographs and detailed diagrams fill the pages, reinforcing the text and information gathered by readers.

• Students can create a chart to compare and contrast two types of whales
• Write a letter to a friend or family member and share some interesting facts about whales

-This book is all about dolphins and whales. It talks about their bodies and why they are made the way they are. How they swim and why they swim certain ways. It tells us all about their under water senses and how they do certain things to tell if another animal is near. It talks about their babies, as well as how they feed. It really just gives you all the facts you will ever need to know. Along with fantastic real photos, which was super cool.
-I enjoyed this book more than I expected as well.
- I would use this in my class too even it is a little longer, just to show them about these mammals.

Usborne Discovery book with lots of information. Never knew there were so many varieties of these mammals; they are testimonies to the magnificence of God's creation and His provision for His creatures.
