Illustrated journey about the life and work of the greatest President India has had till date - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Inspirational read to remind us of the extraordinary dedication and humility of this wonderful personality.
The story revolves around the life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, one of the best scientists in India who also served as the president for a period of time. It was painful to see him struggling for his education by running around selling newspapers. While I was quite sad to see him struggling, I was happy to note that he achieved success at last. His cousin Jalal died at a very young age and after a few years his parents also died. It was wrong on the new teacher's part to separate Kalam from his friend, a brahmin, whose father was the chief priest of the temple. It surprised me that Kalam's father had so many friends, across castes and religions. It was great to know that he received a call from Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee himself, the then prime minister of India personally reached out to him regarding a project. I like this book a lot as it covers all the major points, from the birth till his death and all the struggles he had to undergo.
