USA Today Bestselling Author of steamy PNR and fantasy romance.

Ever since my grandmother first handed me a Nora Roberts novel, I KNEW I wanted to write romance.

I love love. Crave it. For me, genre doesn't matter as long as there is a beautifully epic love story woven into the storyline.

Which is exactly why I chose to write across so many genres. Paranormal, fantasy, contemporary, suspense...no matter which of my books you choose you always know what you're getting: a love story for the ages.

Felt like I was left wanting more!

I will say that I loved this series. I would have given this book 5 stars if it didn't wait until the last 5 pages to really sum it up. I felt like the last two books of this series were more action packed then the first three! But it also left me with more questions. Like I almost felt rushed in this book with some things and then got vague details on other more important topics. Overall for the series I loved the dynamic between Anastasia and Dakota and how they needed each other to make it through everything! Again great series, but I'm not sure it took 5 books to get us there.

This is the final book in the series and honestly, Jessica Wayne throws the most amazing twist at you within the first few pages. If you thought that the ending to Siren was a shock, then you’ll only be even more shocked when you dive right into this one. As this is the last book in the series, this could go either way and honestly, Jessica pulled out all the tricks that you could imagine with it. I was left guessing throughout the entire book and I had no idea of the outcome, but it’s well worth the wait. So much happens and I’m shocked that Jessica managed to throw it all together in one book, but wow….. she did such an incredible job.
There is so many emotions running through you whilst you read it and I honestly can’t fault Jessica for anything that happens, although with the start it just makes you want to throw your reading device. There was nothing that I could find at fault with this book, I think Jessica managed to perfect everything that she did with this book and honestly I’m gutted that the series is now over, I’ve been so invested in this series since I first picked it up, Jessica did such a great job at bringing these characters to life and seriously it was well worth the read. If you’ve not started this series, I highly suggest that you do, it’s honestly incredible.

With more battles and wars taking place, it feels like Ana won’t be getting a break any time soon. A battle that she thought she could take on, only has gotten more complicated by the second and now with Dakota being kidnapped, life really does seem out of place. It’s heartbreaking for her because it seems all that happens around her is that she loses her loved ones. She’s such a good, kind hearted person and it’s unfair that she has to go through it all. Now with all the worlds and the safety of others on her shoulders she’s got a choice to make, and it’s not an easy one. She must figure out a way to help protect the other worlds and her own without losing the one thing she loves most of all….. Dakota. Will she be able to find a way to save him and save the worlds or will she have met her match finally?

I can't say more about this series finale than WOW. It gave me so much more than I could have asked for, and the emotional charge throughout the entire novel was electric. I absolutely loved this series and was overwhelmed by how perfect the ending was.

This is book five of the Rise of The Phoenix series and also the finale of this action packed series. Ana (Anastasia) has been faced with the worst action that could ever have been done against her in all the years she has been fighting this unexpected war. But the recent events have left her broken and almost dead on a multitude of occasions. The evil being behind all the years of war and destruction, has taken the only man she had ever loved, her husband Dakota, and has corrupted their mind and body, using them as his presence in the other worlds, to carry out his evil deeds. She doesn’t want to lose Dakota, but since Thames and Dakota’s minds are linked, if she kills Thames, then Dakota is likely to die as well. Can she make the ultimate sacrifice to kill Dakota, to save the rest of the worlds, she isn’t quite sure she can do that. Anything else someone might ask of her, but this may be a step too far for Ana to handle. She needs to try and come up with a plan to defeat Thames, but to save Dakota if she can, as it has been made clear her powers may well not be enough.

Her ability to portal into the world of Luxe, where Dakota is being held, beaten and then used by Thames, is blocked by magic more powerful than hers. Whilst she has been able to hold a small block on creatures attacking the village on Terrenia or her cottage there whilst she was trying and failed to keep Dakota safe from the siren, to create a block on a whole world, is an altogether different level of difficulty. Lots more secrets come out, about Luxe and its royal family, the sirens, and some of those they trusted to be their allies. She has to come up with a plan and her only idea is a very dangerous one and one that most of Terrenia will be against, as well as her friends and allies. Her plan will hopefully bring her power unlike any she has ever seen, even more than that of the Sorceress role she has inherited already and found to be lacking in defeating this ultimate foe. Thames doesn’t care what worlds he destroys in his need for more power and fails to even contemplate that the power he gains control of will kill everything and everyone on the worlds he takes the life forces from, nor that it is unlikely to help bring his world back to life.

Thames destroyed his world in his quest for power and is now doing the same to others. Ana has to try and warn their allies, after hearing of his destruction of the world life force of one of his own allies, but she is also working on her plans to save Dakota and some other prisoners Thames is keeping, who are important to her. She discusses her plan with the ghostly figure of Vincent first, needing to get his input from his vastly superior magical knowledge, and even he is against such a plan. He suggests an alternative plan, for her to use her magic to gain access to Luxe in a different way, which could kill her if it goes wrong, and so condemn all the other worlds to complete destruction. Some on Terrenia are not as keen for her to go through with either of her plans and do not trust the idea of her being the one person who will be able to save them all. The head elder refuses to reveal where the life force of Terrenia is located on their world, leaving Ana and her closest friends and allies to have to locate it for themselves. If she tries to absorb this life force, it could well be far too much for her and lead to her death and the death of their world. Lots of complex planning going on in the background and more secrets still to reveal. I loved all the extra beings Ana discovers in her search and the complexity of gaining access to the protected life force. Death may be the only answer to finding a solution, for the issues all the worlds are facing. Dangerous choices need to be made in this finale of the series. A fantastic series and a very fitting conclusion to the storylines. One I would recommend to one and all. I have really enjoyed read each of the books in the series and I am sad to see some of my favourite characters go. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

☄️☄️ONE UNNERVING WILD RIDE☄️☄️
Holy hell batman! Jessica unleashes this incredibly tantalizing rollercoaster with all the heartache of loss, nailbiting encounters and nerve racking ploys, hooking you from the first sentence until the last word, hurling this hot little number to a whole new level. Anarchy and stunning events descend in a flurry of dangerous situations and cunning maneuvers, noticing the scattered barriers and crashed perimeters solidify as limitations are amplified and enforced, reaching deep for every fiber of strength in a fierce surge of determination, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. Navigating a vicious minefield of riveting drama, gripping intrigue, underlying currents, brutal tactics, spiraling danger and swirling suspense, you have one mind-blowing experience, fusing this gem together seamlessly. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, with amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to add an extra kick to the mix. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Incredible job Jessica, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

“Rise of the Phoenix” is a wonderful conclusion to the eponymous series by Jessica Wayne. It may be the final book, but it is even complexer and action-driven than the rest. From the very first couple of pages, the story is full of twists and shifts that keep the reader feverishly turning the pages to get more, more, more…. and believe the story doesn’t disappoint in the slightest, it has a lot to offer, from despair to joy and every other nuance in-between. As Dakota is kidnapped, Anastasia will have not only to deal with heartbreak, but deal with the situation assuring the safety of all those in her charge.

This is a series where Urban Fantasy and Epic Fantasy collide and evolve, and the conclusion, which exceeds all expectations, is truly epic: redemption, acceptance, bliss and of course a final most expected and more than deserved HEA.

Our heroine has had enough. Enough conflict, enough loses, and enough pain. It is time to end things once and for all. Whether anyone will survive her wrath remains to be seen.

This is book five of the series and the conclusion. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning.

This is an urban fantasy story featuring a phoenix main character. The story is very well written and easy to read with an action filled plot that keeps things moving along. The characters are well developed and the setting is nicely detailed. A lot has transpired since the beginning of the series and it all comes to a head in this dramatic conclusion. Bring your score board as this one is going to be rough.

Highly recommended.

The final battle?
It’s the final battle and Ana needs the core of Therrenia to defeat Thames and save the worlds. Will Ana be able to finally beat Thames? Will it be in time to save Therrenia or the other worlds? Can she save Dakota? Will they ever have the peace to raise their baby? All of these questions and more will be answered in this installment of the “Rise of the Phoenix” series. This is the most powerful and awe-inspiring installment yet in this series. I loved it!

This one had me all in my feels! Characters that were gone aren't, and for some that's a good thing, in a way I never thought possible. I could not stop reading. This conclusion to the series had everything I wanted and more. I laughed, cried (more than once), cheered, and was so mad. Basically, the full gambit of emotions. The epilogue and bonus content were everything! You definitely should read this series! You won't be disappointed!

Enough kick and sass to make this latest installment an absolute must read. The drama, the angst, the fight for family and the fight to lay it all on the line. Ana has her work cut out for her but she will rise above all to ensure the safety of those she loves the most. There is enough heart pounding excitement and suspense to make this an intense and riveting read.

This is a fitting conclusion to a fantastic series. Anastasia continues to battle the forces of darkness, even when it hits very close to home. With her surrogate father and unlikely allies, she battles the true source of true evil Thames to restore peace to their worlds. Again, I could not put this book down at all. Simply a fantastic series.

Book 5

Book 5 had errors throughout and seemed rushed. The plot and characters developed throughout the series and were repetitive in aspects to the series. The characters flaws were the same in all books for how much they love each other. We get it, no need to push it after every thought. The plot was predictable and could have been better.

This is a little bitter sweet. I have loved this series, and while I love the conclusion, it still seems sad to have to come to the end of the story. All of the loose ends get neatly tied up, there are lots of surprises. Action packed too. This is a wonderful conclusion to the series.
