Being born a witch has always been just a detail from my past, you know, like summer camp, or the time Timmy ate a bug, but now, thanks to one very pushy Immortal, a handful of mutant shifters, a psycho named Chaos and a nice guy (I think) named Emmet, my magic’s become a real pain in my ass.
San Diego was a totally chill choice for college, until this whole moon-cycle madness was thrown in my lap (more like shoved in my face) and now I’m bumbling with basic spells, crash studying to go from zero to fierce in a matter of days.
Only problem with this test is that it’s graded pass/fail where failure is death.
I wouldn’t wish magic on anyone. It attracts all the wrong entities, the kind you can’t run from, the kind who always find you, the kind who know your dark secrets even before you do.

She always knew she had power, but how much power she has yet to find out.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I found this book a slightly slow start but after a couple chapters I didn't want to put it down.
Luna is a witch, one that is trying to live like a normal basic (human) girl. After missing the bus she decides to take a short home thru a park but gets ambushed. This starts her adventures with shapeshifters and Immortals and other magical creatures. One Immortal named Winter seems to like to torture her and then he forces training on her. She is having a hard time figuring out what he wants. How is a girl to get any rest or have any fun with a guy when he keeps showing up and busting her door down?
If you like crazy scenarios and various forms of flirting and a lot of sarcasm, then this is a great book. I can't wait to read the next one.
I voluntarily reviewed this ARC. WOW!! I was completely blown away and hooked the moment I started reading this Brilliant book. Sophie Collingsworth works at a coffee shop and just wants to be a regular girl with dreams of going to Stockholm to study towards her master in ethnology. However the young witch in her becomes wrapped up with immortals who claim they need her help to save the world. I absolutely loved the sassy, smart and caring nature that sophie brings to this story. Her powers of from the moon and elements, however there is a hidden secret within her she doesn’t yet know. When his Magistrate Immortal Winter crashes into her world and knows her true name she is forced to chose whether she joins them and saves humanity or not. This book has it all, action, magic, wittiness, humor, suspense, intense chemistry and an amazing plot. I can’t wait to read Winter’s story. If I could give this book more than a five star I would because it’s well written and the story line is very well outlined with a detailed background that will leave you gaping and begging for more. I loved it!!!
I loathe plot advancements made of stupid decisions. I managed all of 7% before rage-quitting.
Heroine: oh no I missed the bus, but let me go through this park at night even though I know bad things could happen *bad things happen!* Heroine: oh no, I can’t defend myself unless I use my magic which I’m NEVER supposed to do! I won’t, I’ll be good *2 seconds later!* Heroine: *uses magic!* Heroine: whoopsie daisy! I guess I’ll just hope no one notices! *something notices* Heroine: oh no! How could this happen! Me: weirdly, face starts stinging OH WAIT THAT’S MY HAND AGAIN

One things for sure... there's magic in the moonlight.
Amazing read this one was. From the very first chapter I have been hooked and couldn't stop till finished. I love the story line and plot which moved along nicely. I adore the characters and love Lunas' sassy spunk she has. I can't wait to read more of Luna and her magic! Recommend reading!
I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary review.
Lunar witches are not treated well by the Immortals who run the supernatural world so when Sophie finds herself in their line of sight she is understandably nervous. Magistrate Winter is anything but kind and what the council wants of her is incredibly dangerous. When a rogue Magistrate, Chaos, is thrown into the mix and he too is interested in Sophie, she begins to wonder what could possibly be going on. Secrets and plots and counter-plots abound along with some kick ass magic, some old fashioned sword fighting, and a smidge of romance. I took a couple of chapters to get hooked but then it was full steam ahead. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
Our heroine doesn't know what she is, and once she finds out, she wishes to go back to before she got thrown in the deep end. Of course, we rarely get what we wish for.
This is book one of the series, so start here.
This is an urban fantasy story with witches and other paranormals. The story is very well written and draws you in from the start. We get a detailed setting that unfolds before our eyes as our heroine gets a crash course in the greater world. Speaking of which, our heroine is my kind of lead, tough, smart and a little bit sassy. And she will need all of that to navigate this story. Overall, a highly enjoyable read. Come along for the ride.
I loved this story it had me hooked I liked Luna who has very powerful magic and she always thought that her grandma’s predictions were a bit too much but she was always right. Luna is sassy, strong and a pretty stubborn witch who has no patience with an immortal, I had a chuckle with a few of the scenes there’s also plenty of action, adventure, suspense, danger, magic and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I loved this story and I know that you will too it’s a definite must read and I highly recommend this book.
Luna: An Urban Fantasy by Stella Fitzsimons is an amazing story that I have read. Sophie or Luna if you catch her witch name, is being stalked by an immortal.
Sophie hides as a resent college graduate while trying to find out why an immortal is stalking her. Why he wants her witch name to use. And most of all why is he involving her in an immortal war. She is just a Lunar witch isn’t she?
This was an amazing read, kept me to the edge of my seat the whole time. Lots of action, witty banter and detailed background. Luna and Winter chemistry is off the charts. Chaos is super crazy and scary in a delightful way/ Can;t wait to read more,
Loved this book has great characters that engaging and well developed. The storyline has plenty of twists and turns that kept glued to my seat turning the pages.

This was the kind of book that the minute you finish, you buy the next in the series because it was just that good. Really well written with a great storyline and excellent character development. Try. It, you'll like it!
Sophie is walking home after work and is attacked by eerie men. She fights them off but starts some dire consequences with her actions. This book is a blockbuster! I was intrigued from the very beginning. My eyes were glued to the page. What a thrill ride! Please tell me book two is on its way .
Luna is a witch that is about to find out trouble is coming her way. Can she fight whats to come and survive? Who is friend and who is her enemy. She is so confused. A nonstop thrill ride of adventure and action. A must read.
This is my first read by this author and it won't be my last. I found the story to be refreshingly original with intriquing characters and filled with suspense. This is a page turner and I had a hard time putting it down. I look forward to more in the series and from this author
Loved this. Strong and independent characters. A detailed background and unique storyline. There is a lot of action, suspense, drama and romance, all in one book. Intriguing, I could not put this down! I received this ARC as a gift and I am voluntarily submitting this review.
The tale is well written in today's language I found the characters to be believable and likable. It took me only a day to read. I want to know what happens next
Another great fantasy story to help you enjoy your day. I couldn’t stop until I had read the entire book. Definitely ready for the next book in the series.
I wanted to like this book. It had good world building, some nice side characters, an interesting view of magic....but (sigh) the main character was a problem. She's nineteen, lives on her own and has the emotional maturity of (maybe) a 13 year old. All her emotions are constantly dialed up to "11". Every person she comes across is amazingly attractive. And unfortunately the main way the plot moves forward is through the main character doing something on impulse that is amazingly stupid, which she normally admits within a minute or so of her doing it. At first it was frustrating, then it was just tedious. If this had an option for 2.5 stars I would have picked it over three.
I was interested in the magical system, but a bit put off by the editing. I got to where the plot really began, with the protagonist's call to action, and quit.
Slow start, 2nd half was better but still not sure I like the writingstyle. It feels rushed most of the time, desperate to get background info out to the reader but it doesn't fit the story. Hot men, bad ass witch, magic and shifters. No spice, ok ending
Sophie thinks being a witch is more trouble than it’s worth and tries to ignore what she is. She prefers living a ‘normal’ life. However, there are forces at work that push the magical side of her.
This story is part of an anthology box set about witches and I really enjoyed it. I liked Sophie’s strength, determination and defiance, especially in regard to those ‘above her’.
One of the best things about this book was the humour – both in dialogue and inner dialogue. This made Sophie even more likeable.
A well-written magical story that begins Sophie’s journey – whose real name is...
Sophie is a Luna witch...but when an immortal crashes into her life...literally, everything is turn on its head. New friends, New enemies, the potential for war...who can she trust to keep everyone safe. Secrets galore with discovery along the way...really want to find out how things develop with Sophie and the whole gang ;-)
I absolutely loved this book and was hooked after reading just a few pages. A snarky heroine and mysterious protector, possible love interests who are probably a very bad idea, great friends and family characters with secrets of their own...And an evil villain, none of whom may be exactly what they seem and no one's motives are 100% clear. Recommended!
I read six chapters and feel the book which includes occasional bad swearing to probably be more suited for the young teen generation. Not mine. I found it hard to get into and the swearing was awful
