menahan nangis ngga sengaja baca ini di kantor T.T. Really thank you for starcourser who share this book in twitter, I never thought that childern book can have theme how dealing with sadness and grief.
SPOILERS- I'm not impressed with this and felt it lacking and kind of pointless. I thought the cat dying was going to be a lession to small children about how to deal with loss...but it wasn't. The cat was dead one moment, burried in the yard, then in the next moment a new cat was brought in to take his place.
My all-time childhood favorite (alongside Stellaluna). I’m glad my mom saved it for me to have for my kids. It’s such a beautiful story with lovely art and, since it’s from the perspective of a cat who can feel things like friendship and anger and sadness but doesn’t necessarily understand them (because he’s just a cat), it’s able to portray complex emotions like loss and grief in a very approachable way. I just read it for the first time in years (this time to my daughter) and it holds up even more as an adult—although now to my older soul it’s 100% a tearjerker.
Tigger and Friends is a beautiful childrens book which deals with the issues of friendships and death in an unique way. It tells the story of a Brown Burmease cat called tigger in a series of enchanting illustrations. The whole tale is charming and origional and this has to be my favorite childrens book. it's a shame more people havn't read it.
