Everybody wants a piece of Ariana.

After surviving the latest vampire attack, Ari's mates are certain that the bloodsuckers are out to get her. Is someone else after her, too? Vampires, humans, and warlocks all have reasons to want her. Worse, she's not sure she can trust her own mates. Maximus struggles with jealousy, and Jett still hasn't accepted the mate bond.

As tensions rise between her mates and the clans, Ariana struggles with her role as peacemaker. She's barely gotten a taste of freedom and begun to adjust to her role as the Silver Shifter when another attack rocks the New York clans.

She and her alphas may never recover from this one.

I really really like this one.
It was so much better then the first one.
And the god damn ending, talk about a cliff hanger from hell.
I just love Cash and Owen. I want my own dragon and bear shifter.

I just binge read through the first four books of Katherine Bogle and Alexa B. James’ Silver Shifter series, both the ones if read before (Her Wolf, Her Dragon and Her Bear) and the latest, Her Panther (Book 4). These really are urban fantasy romance at its finest. I love Ariana and her four alpha shifter mates. It’s a total pleasure seeing their reverse harm romance gradually develop as these books go on and as she grows into true kick-a** stature. I love the world created by the authors for these books, with its magic, vampires, warlocks and shifters. Add in an action-packed overarching story arc and superb plots in the newest book and it’s predecessors, and a superbly crafted supporting cast. The result is a true champion of a novel and series. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The series and its latest book both definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each of the books in this series is most definitely one to read, and all are easy to highly recommend.

Wow

There is allot of action in this series! Wink wink! Action and adventure as well not just the mating kind of action which had kept my interest. It has a good story line that caries into this book from the first and you need to read the first to understand what goes on in this book!

Hot and steamy reverse harem series! If you like shifters, magic and complicated relationships check out Her Dragon, the second book in The Silver Shifter series.

Ariana and her mates survived the latest vampire attack. Maximus was injured and will take time to heal since his wounds were made with a silver knife. Surprising everyone, including herself, Ariana came to Maximus’ rescue by shifting into a dragon. Who knew that a shifter could have more than one animal?

She is anxious to get on with uniting the four clans, wolves, bears, dragons, and panthers. So far she has only met with the wolves and dragons. The dragons were a bit less than friendly. How will their attitude change now that Ariana has discovered her dragon?

The trip to bear territory has been interrupted more than once by the vampires. How do they always seem to know just what route the group will travel and when? Could there be a traitor in their midst?

Jett, the leader of the panthers, is still remaining aloof toward Ariana. Will he change his mind and accept her as his mate?

Great story

I'm really enjoying this series so far.

Ari is such a strong character but she is also naive to a lot of the supernatural ways.
The guys get on my nerves a little...well everyone but Owen. I'm just not a fan of jealousy and the story keeps bringing up the three guys jealousy between them. Unlike Jett (the fourth mate), he is still being stubborn and a jerk, meaning he still isn't mated with Ari but I'm sure it's coming. The other two mates rotate on the annoying/adorable/hot scale; Maximus because he just let's his jealousy define his actions and Cass (I think that's his name lol) he is the player but he sometimes over does it for me and I'd just like him to be real.

Overall, these books so far are quick and easy reads with a really interesting storyline and I'm looking forward to it's unfolding.

ONE AMAZING RIDE!!!
Wow! Talk about unexpected. This dynamic duo works their magic with this little gem. A rollercoaster of events and circumstances that catapults all the swirling emotions bursting to life spectacularly. All the trials and tribulations, twists and turns, along with a few glitches bring this baby together wonderfully. A non-stop action packed, fast paced, thrilling storyline and explosive plot blow this little jewel to a whole new level. The characters were intriguing, complex and realistic. The scenes were so vividly detailed and descriptive that it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Whoa action overload

O never thought I would say this..but there is way too much going on. There are so many arguments about protecting Ari..and no one seems to remember that she survived YEARS in a fighting pit when most didn't make it past a few fights. Also the pressure the clans & Jett are putting on her knowing until Maximus showed up Ari was kept a prisoner in animal form is ridiculous. My problem with this story really is all the action. We're go from one attack to another without really building the story or relationships. I will read the next book because despite this I'm committed to see the end.

Her Dragon is Book 2 in the Silver Shifter series. This book blew me away -- it answered all my concerns and doubts left from Book 1, Her Wolf. The story line continues to be fantastic, but the character development and world building are now exceptional. This is an action packed, fast paced adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat and turning pages to the end. The authors, James & Bogle, have hit a homerun with this series. The cliffhanger ending leaves you wanting more. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I’m on the struggle bus with this series

I have read several co-authored books and when they are done well, you cannot tell it was written by 2 different people. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out why I am not enjoying this series as much as most other readers and I thinks it’s the disjointed and choppy plot. I can tell that 2 people have written this and brought their work together to try and make it fit, it’s not working for me. Plus I find myself loathing the characters more in this book than the first.

Going back to the choppy plot... I keep finding continuity errors such as knowing that Ari does not know a particular story or piece of background information about one of her mates but then she seems to know all about it at some point in the book. The conversation between Ari and her mates where it is normal to learn about each other rarely happens in this book and series. It’s all about planning to tour the remaining clans, arguing about disagreements, sex, and vampire ambushes. There isn’t any building of the relationships. I even got the feeling a couple times that the alphas are only entertaining the idea of Ari being their mate for pure political reasons and doing what’s “best for the pack protection”. Even Maximus made that comment when confronted by his female second in command, instead of saying something sweet and swoon worthy, it was all about pack and clan politics.

Now the characters, like I said earlier, I found myself disliking all of them in this book more so than in book 1. I think a lot of it has to do with the lack of relationship development. No one is making an effort to learn about their mate, yet they still manage to drop the cliche “I love you” after sex. Plus with the lack of building relationships and getting to know one another, I am having a hard time believing that they have feelings for each other besides lust, political advancement, and what is in the best interest of the clans.

I don’t think I will continue this series. I am just finding myself too annoyed to really enjoy the series. Please keep in mind that this is purely my opinion and that does not mean you should not give the series a chance. What I don’t enjoy, you may love, while the things I love to read may be something to hate. Read the books and decide for yourself.

Some things in this one made me so happy but some things took me out of the story a bit. Overall I still would give this 3.5-4 stars and am already listening to book 3 to see what happens next!

So in terms of the story, we get to see everyone recover physically and emotionally from the attack in book 1. We get to cement the vampires as baddies in this series, but the end of this book brought out another faction that you might have forgotten about but seem to be a bigger thorn in the group's side in book 3 (more to come on that in book 3's review). Ari visits Owen's pack in this one and I knew he was going to be my favorite! He is so cuddly and lovable (but brings the heat like the other mates do, besides Jett haha). I loved his family and I am so unhappy with Max's pack treating Ari the way they are. I will say the big event at the end was repetitive in my opinion to the big event in book 1. I also could tell the division with the authors, the cohesiveness wasn't as succinct and on point as it was in book 1, which took me out of the story a couple of times. One example was Ari's nickname from Owen (he said it to her and then a couple chapters later she acted like it was brand new and questioned him/took note of it). I also was getting sick of Max's jealously and pettiness. I am hope things run more smoothly in the future for them or their harem is doomed. I also am on the same page as Ari and questioning everything Jett is doing!

In terms of the narration, same comments as I had in book 1. I like both of these narrators but it would have been even better if this was duet and not dual narration since they arent as strong doing the opposite sex as they are doing their own. I did feel like the emotions were amped up in this one, you could feel it. The love, tension, jealously, anxiousness, suspicion, all done really well by both narrators.

Enjoyable, but still i had issues

Ok. First this was a good one, maybe not as exciting as the first book but still ok. I'm glad a lot of my issues with the universe in general of this story got cleared up. I feel like they could have done a better job at giving more details. It feels like the idea of this universe hasn't been fully fleshed out yet. My biggest issue is with the bear shifter fam ATM. They know they are all mated and mating seems to be the shifter version of commited for life, so it doesn't make sense for the mum to seperate them for proprietary sake of some BS about no sex before "marriage" because that is a human concept. What is smells of is shame of sex. For some reason these bears want them to 'behave' as if sex is such a terrible thing, it makes no sense and made me seriously mad at these weird opinions, especially in a romance novel that is a RH. Like ummmm have you checked your genre? Little bit disappointed that no group sex or just sleeping in the same bed has happened. Maybe the next book will be better.

Full of Twists

Ariana is still adapting to being free and her new role in life. She doesn't get much down time though as she is constantly under attack. We start with her dealing with the aftermath of turning into a dragon. This makes things interesting with the Dragon clan itself yet difficult with the other clans. Lots of twists, relationship building, suspense, and intrigue that lead to the cliff hanger ending. Perfect for fans of paranormal RH. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Wow, really enjoying this series, can’t wait for the next book. We have Ariana who’s is still trying to get use to being the silver shifter and is suppose to bring the clans together. Her four mates are still wanting to protect her. Everyone is trying to get her. Can her mates protect her. Jett still has not accepted her as her mate. Can she even trust him? He seems to know more about the Vampires then anyone else. Why is everyone after her? Will she succeed in finding peace for the 4 clans? Will she get caught by everyone that is after her?

Ari and her mates have their hands full with trying to unite the shifter clans and keeping Ari safe from attacks.

Whilst Ari is trying to figure out a balance with her animals she is also trying to find a balance with her mates as not all of them want to share but are willing to to make sure she is happy and well looked after.

I am very intrigued about Jett and what he is up to and how he seem to have inside knowledge, I don’t believe he is betraying everyone and has a valid reason for how he knows things.

After that ending I am excited to see what happens in the next book.

Not wild about this series... I LOVE most of A James’ books, but this series seems rushed. Information feels pushed and sporadic. The RH aspect seems awkward and uncomfortable, unlike her other books were it falls together magically... the inconsistency of the vampire conflict does not seem real... MC is a dragon... as in can burn everything in her path, but they keep getting their asses handed to them by vampires... I will try the 3rd book, but if flow does not smooth out, it will my last for this series...

Not bad pt.2

Maybe it's just me but I feel like it's one thing after another and there's not time to stop and enjoy the story. I do like that I got to see more of the Dragon but it was just little snippets nothing really solid. The only other thing I don't really like is it seems like she's trying to put the other alphas against jett. I mean he does seem shady but it just seems wrong for her to be "so sure" that it's jett without any actual proof. I'm really excited about the next book though because I've never read a bear shifter book!

A fantastic read that picks up where the last left off. The plot continues to thicken with more twists and turns. This story will have you pulled in from the beginning. As events continue to unfold, more problems surface and the more these characters need to rely on each other whether they all realize it or not. The ending won't be what you expect and it'll leave you wanting to know more. Definitely recommend.

It just keeps getting better!

This is the second installment of this series and it picks right up where the first ended. It kept my eyes me glued to the pages until the very end!

This book is definitely worth reading if you are into shifter/vampire stories. Just be sure to start at the beginning of the series. These are definitely not standalone books and they are filled with sensual scenes not suitable for young readers.

Who needs sleep when you have these shifters! I jumped right into this book after finishing the first and I can’t put it down. It’s fast-paced and feels like a quicker read probably due to sucking me in so much. I’m in love with their chemistry, the action, and of course drama. Readers will get to know everyone a little better in this book and I loved getting a peek at their more personal lives and homes. Definitely a must-read if you liked the first book.

Good story!

Easy to read stories that you just can't put down, I am enjoying this series. I like the characters. I love the job editing did! That may seem silly, but we've all run across books that apparently had never heard of SpellCheck, let alone an editor. So when I find a book that almost sparkles because it's so clear of errors, I'm going to praise it! Action, shifters, romance, it's all here.

Ooooooh that ending

The cliffhanger ending got me good! I'm really enjoying this series and these characters more than I originally thought I would. But Ari is freaking awesome and the Alphas are amazing and attentive. The storyline just keeps getting better, the writing, world building and development are great, can't wait for the next book!

Ariana is the "Silver Shifter" and her life has changed she has gone from caged "gladiator" to loved mate.
The alphas have come to expect that Ariana is their mate if only the vampires would leave them alone.

I feel like there is obviously more to the prophecy. The humans want Ariana, the vampires want to kill her, she is supposed to unite the clans and she has an evil warlock on the hunt for her. There are obviously traitors, I’m wondering if there are some in each clan? I don’t know why the humans want her but I guess we will find out.

I love this series. I love the struggles with that one mate who I just don’t trust. I love the sexy time, I love the story line. I think we are in for lots of surprises with the vamps and other clans and, of course, with that ending! What?!? Excited for the Bear installment next!

Amazing book

This book was brilliant from the start keeping up exactly where the last book finished and not going down a different route. Made it easy to fall more in love with the book and the characters. Lots of love and loss to keep you going. 100% recommend

Ari is trying to balance her dual shifter sides and figuring out how to unite the packs. The guys are a little over-protective, but still reap t the limits that she sets. I still haven’t quite figured out Jett, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series.

Keep me on the edge of my seat

All the excitement keeps me in the edge of seat wondering what Ariana will have to face next and love seeing her wraps these shifters around her finger. Loved getting to see Owen and his bear community.
