Desert Wolf #1-2

Stolen Omega

Rate this book
Omega Zan has been sheltered and protected his entire life in order to keep him safe from the packs of wild bandits who roam the desert. Zan longs to explore on his own, a wish that comes true in a way he never could’ve expected.

Kyrt Ripfang is the alpha leader of the most notorious bandits in the waste. Just his name can send shivers down the back of the strongest alpha—and that’s exactly the way he wants it. To survive it’s easier to hide behind a mask than let people know the truth. When Kyrt and his men raid a pack’s encampment, he gets a little more than he bargained for: a hot-headed, stubborn omega as a prize.

Held captive at Kyrt’s hideout, Zan’s only option is to endure the alpha’s company. But as time goes by, it becomes apparent there’s a powerful force connecting them. Zan may hate his kidnapper, but he can’t deny the heat growing inside of him. It’s his most primal omega urge: he must have this alpha’s child.

Stolen Omega is a paranormal mpreg romance that will grab you with its fangs and pull you right in. Expect fast-paced action, a unique fantasy-esque setting, and sizzling-hot chemistry between a strong omega and complicated alpha. A satisfying HEA, guaranteed. This is an Ashe Moon novel at its absolute best!

Quite entertaining but I think the blurb didn’t do this book justice. 🙂 Although this is about a wild and freedom-loving omega falling in love with a bandit alpha, the story is more about them going on an adventure to find new lands after the mating. Typical ABO mating, insta-lust and hot smut. 😁 Overall, this was sweet and fun. So if you are looking for a light, fun read, this is one of the enjoyable ABO books.

I had read the first part of this story before. It must have been part of an anthology. I enjoyed the book. It’s a quick easy read. Kyrt and Zan are engaging characters. It’s mostly a very sweet story with just enough hot sex and adventure to keep your interest.

Meh... For one thing I wouldn’t call this a “stolen omega”, I would say it should be more like “Saved, with conditions”....

Also originally this book was written as 4 smaller novellas, and it still kind of reads like that but it wasn’t horrible and I still enjoyed it for the most part.

There were parts that didn’t jive with me, and they just felt kind of flat compared to some of the other Ashe Moon books I’ve read.

Wow! This was a fantastic, awesome, intriguing, wild, and smoking hot twist on the traditional shifter storyline. Filled with adventure, danger, suspense, mystery, passion, betrayal, and more twists and turns than a roller coaster, it had me hooked from beginning to end. I'm eagerly looking forward to see what happens next.

"kurt, you're my mate.with our mental bond I've gotten to know you better than words could ever allow"

I really enjoyed this one, it was different from other stuff I've read. This was a bit of a enemies to lovers romance. I really enjoyed both characters and their story and how they got together. zan was an omega always protected and sheltered. It made him crave a different life, one that involved more danger and adventure. When he heard about the leader of a group of bandits called the red moons, he started to fantasize about what it would be like to be with an alpha like him. He knew any life with a dangerous alpha like Ripfang would be anything but boring. Kurt Ripfang and the red moons invaded zans camp and got more than theh planned. Ripfang found himself stuck with an omega he couldnt help but feel drawn to and even thought the omega appeared to hate him, he could feel the feeling was mutual deep within. Being trapped together for a few days forced them to be stuck with long enough to for them to be unable to fight their desire for one another. But they both come from two different worlds and zan sees Ripfang as a terrible alpha who just took whatever he wanted while not caring who he hurt. But something deep down inside him begs for the alpha to be his. This was a sweet, fun, steamy read that I finished in one sitting. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A lovely Ashe Moon story.
Full disclosure I received an ARC of this book and I have written this review freely of my own opinion.
The beginning of this book is written solely from the viewpoint of the Omega until a connection with the Alpha is established. Then the book alternates between Alpha and Omega.
Zan, the Omega, longs to be more than a precious male breeder, protected from the world. When his entire village must move to better hunting grounds, they are attacked and their supplies stolen. Zan chases after the wolves responsible. Only he finds himself the guest of Ripfang, leader of the Red Moons, the gang that attacked.
Kyrt Ripfang is an orphan and leader of a band of lone wolf bandits. After saving a foolish Omega who chased him, he wonders if this is what his dreams were about.
There's a "kidnapping," mating, travel, raids, and many more surprises.

Zan and Kyrt come from different worlds but soon their worlds collide. Zan wants to be more than a sheltered breeder. Kyrt is an alpha amongst alphas he is the leader of a group of bandits and is feared by all. The two men are so different yet there is something that draws them together. When circumstances have Zan stuck in Kyrt's world emotions begin to come to the forefront for these two and they must decide if they will act on their chemistry or not.

I enjoyed meeting Zan and Kyrt. Their story pulled me right in and had my full attention all the way to the end. Both men have strong personalities and it was interesting to see just how the two would find their way. There is so much more to the men that what the world sees and it was nice to watch them find their relationship grow. The author does a good job bringing this world to life and showing the depth of the characters.

This is an outstanding MM shifter romance & it certainly kept my attention. The characters are quite well-developed and react with believable emotions to the situations that they find themselves in. The story-line is well-written & entertaining with some unexpected events.
There is: a alpha leader of a notorious pack of bandits (Kyrt Ripfang), a feisty & defiant omega (Zan), twist & turns, intrigue, some suspense, adventure, action, enemies, danger, threats, violence, conflict, raids, abduction, attractions, determination, a claiming, decisions, traveling, searching, discovery, destiny, contentment, happiness, love, some steam & a satisfying epilogue.
I enjoyed reading this MM shifter romance and would recommend it.

3.5 STARS

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. There was a lot going on and I loved the journey both Zan and Kyrt go on. I thought the two worked really well together and I liked the people they met on the way.

However, there were quite a few inconsistencies in the story, and it made it confusing at times. I also don’t think the title goes well with the story as Zan isn’t really “stolen” as much as he gets lost tracking Kyrt and then Kyrt saves him. The whole being held captive is more of Kyrt not wanting to get attacked by Zan, so he bounds him up and it only lasts a few paragraphs.

Even with the issues I had, I still read through and found that the heart of the story was really good. There was enough action, emotions, and hotness that kept me reading to the end.

Zan is a rare omega breeder who feel shut in with the protections placed around him and dreams of adventure.
All of his life Zan has been surrounded by protections as he is a rare omega male breeder but it has left him dreaming of freedom and adventure. After a raid on his clan where he leaves the protected area he ends up capture by one of the raiders. Kyrt known Ripfang the leader of a group of bandits called the Red Moons. He find himself intrigued by this unusually strong omega and takes him back to his home. They find themselves being drawn to each other. A MM MPreg shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

This is a great story with amazing characters and an intriguing storyline. The world building is excellent and I was drawn into this story from the first page. I love Zan and Kyrt together even though they met under less than ideal circumstances. They face some major obstacles but they are willing to do anything to create a better life and future for themselves. There is danger, action, smoking hot chemistry, hope for a better life and a beautiful love story in this delightful book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story is divided into 2 parts, the first from Zan's POV and the 2nd from both Zan and Kyrt's POVs. I liked that we eventually got Kyrt's POV because we could see how his concerns and dreams were driving his actions. Although Zan and Kyrt came from different backgrounds, they had a bond from early on, one that developed into love. The world was interesting, though the details were a bit sparse at times. I liked following Zan and Kyrt on their journey, it had a steady pace that didn't overwhelm with unnecessary details.

Stolen Omega was a fun read about finding love and your self. Zan is an omega who feels stifled, he wants to explore and hunt but his status as an omega means he is under protection 24 /7. Kyrt is the leader of a notorious pack of wolves who raid Zan’d pack. In the melee Zan is separated from his pack while tracking Kyrt. The two begin a relationship after a rough start each learning about themselves and each other. The storyline is sweet ending in a HEA and the characters are fun and entertaining.

Great book to read, a real pager turner. Zan is an omerga wolf. He is there to help take care of everyone and to make babies. This is not what a Zan wants to do. While they are on the move to a better place they are attacked. Zan goes after them to bring back their supplies. Kyrt is the alpha of the pack that attacked. Zan tries to track Kyrt but gets lost. There is an attraction between the two that make them want to mate. Can these two find happiness?

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!

WOW!!! I entered a world in the desert. This is MAGNIFICENTLY written. I was immersed in this Book. If you like to feel like you're walking in the shoes of the characters, this is the Book for you. Zan is the Omega who feels trapped. Kyrt is the marauding Alpha desert thief. These two are electrifying together. This is a Fantastic adventure from beginning to end. ASHE MOON let me feel the wind, see the landscape, smell the forest. My favorite kind of escape. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

This was okay. It was a light, easy read, with little to no drama or tension. I skimmed far too much of this to rate it higher, as it really failed to hold my interest. I do feel misled by the title and blurb… Zan isn’t kidnapped, he isn’t help captive. As Zan himself says, “I followed you into the desert, wanting to rip your throat out!”. Then he got stranded, rescued (and briefly restrained due to the throat ripping threat), and separated from his pack by a sand storm. Sadly, there was no captor/captive dynamic here.

"Kyrt Ripfang is the alpha leader of the most notorious bandits in the waste."

===> This passage in the description should have sufficed to make me drop this book, yet I pushed my bad first impression aside and decided to read some of it. My first impression was correct. "Waste" of time... pun definitely intended.

An author who isn't able to write a blurb without typos is unworthy of my respect. The same goes for the their editor/publisher.

This was an enjoyable A/O verse. A little different with a sort of primative feel to what little world building there is in this story. There is nice chemistry between the characters of Zan and Kyrt, who are the typical sassy omega and Kyrt is a scarred loner alpha. Other than the MC's there is no explanations of Zan's pack to give a framework scenario, or Kyrt's history as the desert bandit. I liked the story ok, but didn't feel any real sparks.

Good read

This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed the characters but Xan came across as being immature and a dreamer. Kyrt was a good Alpha and was just trying to survive in a harsh environment the best he could, but I don't know why they decide to cross a desert while Xan was expecting . Neither of them knew if the place was even real, and neither knew how to deliver their baby. It was an okay entertaining read.

Kurt and Zan, though their meeting wasn’t traditional, their bond became everything. The story has excitement, romance and a nice HEA. The action offers some intensity while the relationship offers a sense of family. The happy ending with our heroes making a fresh start was a nice conclusion. This book was an interesting read! It's been awhile since I read an Omegaverse book, but any book written by Ashe Moon I fall in love with and this one was no exception! I thought the plot line was intriguing, and I really like how Zan defies Kyrt by fighting back! This book was an interesting one compared to previous ones that Ashe Moon has written! Still an awesome read!

Good world building and love able characters

I really enjoyed the world the author created and Zan and Kyrt were a very cute couple.

I wish the author would have dug a little deeper in some of the situations. Some parts where the story was getting good it was almost like a fade out then on to a new scene.

Ok

Was ok to me. I liked the story overall but it was just sort of boring with the way it was told. The fated mates/love story was just blah. I would have liked something that felt a little more powerful. I like both of these authors so it was maybe just my mood or something. I will still read from them in the future.

Better than the blurb

I don't really have anything constructive or criticising to say about this book. The blurb does not do the actual story justice, it is well worth the read and it's very well written, indeed.

This was a little different of the Alpha/Omega mates. What do you do when you meet the one who that has always feared with just his name. Zan is not your typical omega. This was a wonderful story of their journey from desert to forest. recommend this sweet omega/alpha story
