The big day has finally arrived for Cold Case Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon. He and his fiancé, Jace Lincoln, are getting married in a lavish wedding high atop Boston. Making their special day even more remarkable is a rare appearance by the Northern Lights. The happy couple has said, “I do,” taken hundreds of pictures, and shared their first dance. All is well, until Kevin’s phone rings with news of a mass casualty shooting event a block from their wedding venue. With the suspect still at large, Kevin’s duty as a police officer takes precedence over his long-awaited wedding reception.
Newlywed, Jace Lincoln can’t help feeling like the appearance of the Aurora Borealis is a harbinger of bad things to come. He can’t believe his new husband is leaving him in the middle of their reception, but knows this is what he signed up for as the husband of police captain. Jace sends Kevin off with his blessing and a kiss, praying he won’t go from husband to widower in the same day.
Events take an even more unexpected turn when Kevin’s search for the armed suspect leads him to find something truly astonishing: a newborn baby girl left abandoned in a dumpster. In that moment of heartbreaking magic, Fitzgibbon knows he was meant to fight for this tiny soul.
As the fight to save the baby girl begins, the prediction made months before by Madam Aurora begins to take shape. Fitzgibbon can only hope that he and Jace are ready for the battle to come.
Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.
In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.
Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.

The year just got better. On the day Games of Throne premieres its final season, my inbox is flooded with delights, one of which is this delightful, much anticipated book from one of my faves, Pandora Pine. From the day Madame Aurora mentioned Fitzgibbon, Jace and a baby, I was on board and believe you me, I just KNEW she was gonna be special. What I didn't know was the direction Ms. Pine would take when she wrote this book.
The wedding of Kevin and Jace was supposed to be a special occasion, filled with love, laughter, family and friends. In the end, the Aurora Borealis filled the sky and another police emergency had the men scrambling to right the city's wrong. But there was a surprise at the end of the Borealis and now instead of just being husbands, Jace and Kevin were contemplating being fathers to a baby who needed more than their special touch.
Come, one click and enjoy the celebration and make memories that will follow you into the rest of this fabulously written and ever changing series.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
This is a cute story and a quick read. It’s origins harken back to a prediction made back early in the CCP series and recounted here.
The story begins at Kevin and Jace’s wedding which is interrupted by the groom, best man and other officers being called in due to a mass shooting. We get flashbacks to petulant Jace and then ultimately the payoff and the fulfillment of Madam Aurora’s prophecy when Kevin finds an abandoned baby.
The battle for their daughter begins on several fronts. Quite a few questions are raised but never answered which left me feeling like there were some story holes (no spoilers).
Overall though a sweet story building on this increasing family by choice in Salem, MA.
"Le Sigh" 🥰 I just finished 2 spinoffs, That Old Magic and Aurora Borealis (Cold Case Psychic Spinoffs #4 and #8/KU), by Pandora Pine and I’m completely enamored with her writing and story telling of the paranormal variety. I literally had chills on more than one occasion during my read of Aurora B. It is the continuation of Fitz and Jace’s story from That Old Magic, so reading them back to back was simply wonderful. I love the cast of characters and ragtag family she has created. Her writing tugs hard at your heartstrings and is so very sexy. I have not read the series YET, but I’m totally enjoying these spinoffs. I have also read Tiny Dancer and Kissing Booth which I loved as well.
FINALLY! Kevin and Jace get married!!! Poor guys, though, as Kevin and a lot of the wedding guests get called into work during the reception due to a mass shooting in town. While Kevin was out looking for the gunman, he comes across Aurora. Poor baby is addicted to her mom's heroin and is going through withdrawal. These are the perfect dads for this baby girl. I am so glad we have our new addition to the big family. I can't wait to see Aurora and Everly grow up to be besties.
Finally Fitz and Jace made it to the alter and it has not been an easy road for these two. Their vows chocked me up and you can tell just how much they love each other. When the call goes out for a cops at the beginning of the reception, I was like oh no Jace is going to be so very pissed off and this was not going to end well. When Fitz finds Aurora Rachel, my heart just broke for her. As like the other children in these stories, she is going to be so very spoiled. There was so much packed into this short story that it felt like a full length novel. I can't wait for more!

This story includes all you’d come to expect from Pandora and so much more. She did great justice in the continuation of Jace and Fitz’s story and finding their missing link.
I loved the whole story from start to finish. How Kevin found his Aurora was perfectly fitting to his character and life as a cop. He story was weaved wonderfully and they adapt so well to their new lives as a newly married couple, family of four and new parents.
I love the West SIde Magic crew and how they are always there for each other. They are the perfect made family and I loved seeing them all rally around Fitz and Jace throughout this journey. I also loved the special bonus appearance of Lennox and Greyson! They’re some of my favorite characters and I’m so glad we got more of Lennox Scottish humor (and lack of tacked LOL)
I loved this story and how their family was completed. I’m saddened to know what might happen next and we might not get to see as much of “Captain” Fitzgibbon anymore but I thought this was the perfect conclusion to their story for now ❤
Thanks, Pandora for sharing these characters with us!!!
Wow. Pandora sure packed a lot into this little story. My heart ached for Aurora and was so glad Jace and Kevin had the whole Crew of awesome to support them all. I was glad that the opposition from the relatives was kept civil and simple so the focus could be on assimilating Aurora into the family. Watching Jace and Kevin become fathers and seeing them commit to one another and being there for Aurora no matter what was a growing moment for both of them in different ways.
While Jace still isn't my favorite, he's growing on me as we see him become less selfish. I think I had one idea of him from his care of the LGBTQ+ youth at his shelter. His role there led me to believe he was someone he consistently has issues being when it comes to the most important person/people in his life. He is that person, to some degree, but it's when it directly involves his own life that he becomes reactionary, petty, immature, and juvenile. His determination to be a good partner to Kevin and father to Aurora shows us the less selfish, more empathetic, more mature side of him we know is in there. I have hope. I think he has great potential and I'm interested to see him develop as the Cold Case series progresses.
I'm fact, I loved the story of Fitz, Jace, and their family and friends so much I WILL be starting both this series and the Cold Case Psychic series (read Vision of Love, moons ago) so I can get the back stories and enjoy all the psychic, ghostly, and ghoulishness from the beginning. 💋
Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. In preparation for my ARC Review however, I went back and read, "That Old Magic," where I met Jace and Fitzgibbon and saw their tumultuous relationship end.
Now, that is NOT how their story ends, obviously, especially after Lady Aurora's prophecy over Fitz and his surprise visit from the adult daughter he had never met.
So, now we are on to wedding bells, northern lights, flying bullets, a bit of dumpster diving, wild Tommy Bahama shirts, and MORE wedding bells!! 💜🌈💚Oh wait! No, no... That's right! **giggle... Don't wanna give too much away.
Great fun, good snark, highly entertaining! I recommend for anyone who loves good MM Romance/ Suspense/ PNR! 👻
I received a free copy of this book via LesCourt and am voluntarily leaving a review.💋
This book has been long awaited, especially by those who love Kevin Fitzgibbon, Captain of the Cold Case Unit and boss/friend to Ronan O'mara. Aurora Borealis has all we could want for this much loved character, his wedding to fiance Jace has finally arrived though a little incident leads him on a different path once their first dance has taken place. Everything seems full speed ahead but there are also moments where both Kevin and Jace stop and look around at what they truly have. Pandora, yet again has given us a wonderful story full of love, friendship and a HEA. Whilst there isn't a real mystery to this book, there is enough plot and story for our characters that everyone has come to know and love since the beginning. Though this is a stand alone, I highly recommend reading this series from the very beginning. Relationships and interactions will make more sense and allow you to know the people you are reading. Yet again, a fabulous book from Pandora Pine that I highly recommend! I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Oh my heart!! This novella hit me right in the feels over and over again. We finally get to see Fitz and Jace tie the knot surrounded by their loved ones in a beautiful ceremony, but as expected with this group, things do NOT go as planned after they say “I do”. I loved seeing how far they have come as a couple when things go wrong, Jace especially has grown a lot even if he still has a little ways to go. The wedding was beautiful, but suddenly my heart was in my throat as the rest of Madame Aurora’s prophecy came true in a way none of the gang saw coming. Kevin finding his little girl the way he did broke my heart, but that is one lucky little girl now. Her struggles brought out all my emotions (guys, have some tissues maybe), but the way everyone comes together to support Kevin and Jace and little Aurora is exactly what I have come to expect from this group.. and I love love love it! Beautiful and sweet with one perfect little girl and a bit of angst, this novella is one not to be missed in the CCP world.
This was sweet book, and a wonderful realization of Madam Aurora’s prediction from almost two years ago. At that time, Madam Aurora predicted that BPD Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon would marry a man whose name begins with “J” and have a daughter with him. After some false starts, a breakup, struggles, and growth on both of their parts, Kevin and billionaire philanthropist Jace Lincoln are getting married. The wedding is a swanky affair at the top of Boston where a rare appearance by the Aurora Borealis is occurring. Unfortunately, the reception is cut short when an APB goes out of a mass shooting by a gunman only blocks away. Kevin & Ronan are called to join in the manhunt, and while searching for the gunman, Kevin finds a newborn baby discarded in a dumpster. Could this baby be the little girl from the prophesy? After a lot of legal wrangling, a horrendously bigoted confrontation with the baby’s grandmother, things work out and a new family is formed. A eedding and a daughter... on the same day.
4.5* Aurora Borealis is the 8th book in the Cold Case Psychics Spin Off series by Pandora Pine. This book follows up with Jace and Kevin from book 4 (That Old Magic) and cannot be read as a standalone. Would recommend for those who have loved the series so far!
What happens when you've planned the "perfect" wedding, but not one thing goes according to plan except your I Do's? Will the Aurora Borealis be a good omen or a bad omen? Will Madame Aurora's prediction turn out to be true - will Fitz get his little girl?
I really enjoyed this story and there were so many feels throughout it! On that first night, you can feel everything Jace and Fitz are feeling towards each other and then later towards the whole situation. I love how these two banded together and how much their friends / family help them without being asked and before the guys even know they need it. Also, I really really hope that Greeley gets his own HEA soon, not just with the family!
This is another amazing story in the Cold Case Psychic universe and I love that Kevin and Jace finally find their sweet Aurora. It is beautifully written, fast-paced, emotional, intense, heartbreakingly sad, full of hope and love, shows how difficult and rewarding adoption can be, deals well with some very difficult issues, has a few surprising twists and has all of the amazing characters we have come to love. I laughed and cried from start to finish and I was sad when it ended even though I know we will be seeing everyone again in future books. I love the sheer determination Kevin and Jace show as they fight for Aurora and learn how to deal with the pain and medical issues she is facing due to her mother's unfortunate choices. The ending is perfect and I can't wait to see what Pandora Pine has in store for us next.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I have enjoyed this series wholeheartedly. This wasn’t one of my favorite spin-offs but still a wonderful and sweet read that definitely adds to the series. (Definitely read what comes before if you haven’t!)
Seeing Fitz & Jace finally tie the knot after all their work to get there was amazing. It didn’t all go perfectly but what does in their world-wouldn’t have been right if nothing happened between the “I Dos” and consummating their wedding (perfectly I might add...!) And then they quickly jump in to their journey with baby Aurora at a time they didn’t really quite expect. But at always this amazing extended family comes together and are there for each other.
Overall an endearing and enjoyable novella to be part of the wonderful Cold Case Psychic series!
Finally Kevin and Jace are ready to tie the knot. They have chosen a date, and a location in a very tall building because it coinsides with the Aurora Borealis able to be seen from Boston, in an unusual stellar event. Once the ceremony is complete, before the party can begin, Kevin Fitzgibbon and the rest of the BPD are called out to an active shooter situation. Having no choice but to abandon Jace with entertaining the rest of the guests, while Jace worries that he'll become a widower the same night he became a husband. While searching for the shooter, Kevin hears a noise coming from a dumpster, and finds a newborn baby girl discarded in the trash with no clothes or blanket. Is it possible this is the baby Madam Aurora told him about? This was a beautiful story. Love how much this family is growing.
Cold Case Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon and his fiancé, Jace Lincoln's, married life starts off with a bang. Unfortunately that bang is an all hands on deck call out to find the suspect in a mass casualty shooting.
The last thing Fitz, Ronan and other members of the police department want to do is abandon the wedding reception. But duty calls. New husband Jace worries that he could become a widower on his wedding day. Meanwhile Fitz makes a surprise discovery in a dumpster under the Northern Lights. Could Madam Aurora's prophecy finally have come true.
Is the Aurora Borealis a harbinger of bad things or a new beginning. Fitzgibbon can only hope that he and Jace are ready for the battle to come.
Kevin and Jace finally get their happy ever after in this heartbreaking Free Kindle Unlimited book.
As with the rest of the books in the series I enjoyed the light hearted elements, (usually provided by Roan), entertaining characters, lots of friendship moments and loadsa babies.
This is the captain's and Jace's wedding. No mystery here, just more bonding between the evergrowing cast of these books, with lots of hugging and back slapping.
Realistic this series is not but still an entertaining read! I read the series initially in random order before reading it from the beginning. It is best to start with Vision of Love, and go through the rest as the stories overlap with lots of interweaving characters.
On the whole, this is a nice addition to the series. Must admit though, that I'll be glad to get back to the books with a mystery/crime trope. Finding the whole happy families/ babies element a little too much.
This is the latest novella of the cold case spin-offs, And it is the long-awaited wedding of Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon and Jace Lincoln, with this family things do not go as expected, but as always they rally together to support each other. I have had a hard time liking Jace in previous books and although I found him a bit whiny at first in this novella by the end of the book, I understood his position a bit more and respected how he acted towards Aurora. I have always liked Kevin’s character and am glad that this steady, reliable, loving man got the happy beginning to his forever that he deserved. Although it seemed that this book was long time in coming it was definitely worth the wait.
Dreams do come true for Kevin and Jace! i so enjoyed this beautifully written story about this wonderful couple who has fought so hard to get to their wedding day. The growth and love that these men have experienced is inspiring and touching.
I love so many of the beautiful moments that were created for this story! The love, romance, family and friends will all touch your heart and make you smile. This book has a special magic as we see their family being created.
This is a remarkable series and i highly recommend that you read them in order. This book would be most enjoyed if you read it after reading the previous books, especially That Old Magic, which is the story of Kevin and Jace.

Jace and Fitzgibbons wedding day has FINALLY arrived but could a police incident cause drama on their wedding day? The mystical Baby Aurora is closer than expected too.
What I hate about this book is that Jace is NEVER understanding of Kevin's work commitments. I do not know how they could be a serious couple because it would be exhausting to deal with a significant other who can't cope with your job.
I thought the Aurora thing was a curve ball. I'm glad the story was a bit unexpected.
Overall, I'm glad to finally know how Aurora made it to the family.
I really love Pandora Pines writing and have loved all the books I’ve read so far. Though I did absolutely enjoy this one I didn’t love it enough to give it 5 stars. It was just way to quick for my liking. Don’t get me wrong it was a great little story and I love the characters, but everything just happened in a blink of an eye. It was really hard for me to get into the story before it was already over.
That being said, I loved that Fitzgibbon got his happy ending. I also enjoyed that the psychics, their partners and friends were apart of this story and they all helped when the timing was right.
I love PPine can make an unappealing relationship man-child grow up, have a set-back, and then *really* grow up. At least where a certain child is concerned. 😊 The chief gets off lightly in this (and did we ever learn if they caught the shooter? I can’t remember!), and we don’t learn who was with the mother when she gave birth. I suspect her story is even more complex than shown.
Short, but complex and some difficult subjects in this novella in the CCP universe. These books have heart in their center, and likable characters - even the ones you disliked in the beginning. I’m hoping the grandmother is redeemable.
Pandora Pine's Aurora Borealis is A Cold Case Psychic Spin off Novella that continues the story of Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon and Jace Lincoln. And they finally get that baby foretold in previous books... even if it's not the way they thought it would be.I love these characters and adding Miss Aurora Rachel to the story is adorable. This story had the feelings, the drama, the sweetness and definitely humor. Love this addition to the series.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I loved getting more of Jace and Fitz's story. And we also get to meet the newest member of the extended family. This story has all the usual hijinks of our beloved crew of men, women and babies. A high end wedding full of law enforcement officers, what could possibly go wrong? I love this series and how inter-connected it is. It is constantly getting to visit with close friends and catch up on what is happening in their lives in real time. I'm hopeful this won't be the last we see of Fitz and Jace.
I always liked Kevin Fitzgibbons and really enjoyed this book. Once again the cold case crew is gearing up for the wedding (finally), but an emergency breaks out and it’s all hands on deck. Madam Aurora’s prediction come true, and chaos ensues. I found myself a little misty eyed, fully outraged, and thoroughly enchanted by the story line. Pine has done another masterful job bringing her memorable characters to life. I loved the flow of the story and found it to be a quick-paced read. I simply couldn’t put it down. Definitely well worth the read.
As if I wasn't already addicted to Pandora Pine's Cold Case Physic series, now we get Aurora Borealis, an amazing spin off book.
A wedding and a baby, all in one book? Oh hell yes! We also are treated to the typical Pandora Pine humor, in this sweet romance.
As you'd expect from any Cold Case story, the writing is phenomenal, with a fast pace, and spectacular characters.
Aurora Borealis might just be my new favorite Pandora Pine book. It's a beautiful tale of the importance of family and love. And of course, it's charming in it's delivery.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kevin and Jace have fought hard for their happiness. We should know that it definitely doesn’t mean smooth sailing for them. Pandora Pine has done it again. While staying true to the characteristics and mannerisms of all her characters, she’s given us an exciting read that touches all of our emotions. Also, it makes me wish this family was real so I could go to Salem and meet each and every one of them. If you haven’t read any of the Cold Case Psychic books you definitely should. That series and it’s spin offs are favorites of mine. www.reviewsforthosewholoveagoodbook.w...
Kevin and Jace finally get their wedding, and baby Aurora enters their lives. This is a heartbreaking entry in this wonderful series. I love how Kevin and Jace are together, and I love watching them fall in love with the baby girl who needs them so much. A couple of my questions aren't answered here, but I have faith that the author will take care of that in the future. I am such a fan of this series, and I'm loving watching this family keep growing. It makes me happy.
