My friend recommended this book to me. She said. And I’m paraphrasing here...

While the editing is bad and it has a Twilight-juvie feel it was interesting enough to hold my attention.

And that could be my review. My short and simple review.

Have you noticed how easy it is to review books you love and even books you hate?
But books like this (a mixture of both) are much, much harder to write.

So yes the editing is not good but it’s not so bad it’s unreadable.

And yes it has a very juvenile feel to it. Which is fine since most of it takes place in school.
Genesis turns eighteen at the start of this book. She’s childish and silly at times. She’s eighteen, she gets a pass.

Logan is also eighteen. He’s an idiot at times. Okay most of the time. He’s eighteen he gets a pass on that. What he doesn’t get a pass on is the times when he’s a complete and utter bastard.

My main problem surprisingly was Constantine. He has no idea about women and at times he’s more like an immature sixteen year old. Yes he’s in love, he’s jealous I get that. It’s even feasible that a certain someone has him completely blindsided. After all they have a long history together. But and I’m sorry I’m so picky. But having another woman hanging off you. Whispering in your ear constantly in full view of the love of your life is crazy. How could he not stop for one minute and think it might be bothering her?

If he was also eighteen I’d give him a pass as well. But he’s..... drum roll....over three hundred years old.

So yes we’ve established I’m picky. And this book is obviously aimed firmly at the teenage market. Although the “c” word makes an appearance. Is that used in teenage books these days?
Anyway I digress.
It’s so long since I was a teenager it’s scary to even think about. Even my kids are no longer teenagers. But I still occasionally read YA fiction so I’m not completely out of touch.

So far I’ve dwelled on the negative.

I liked the world building. The fact that there’s werewolves and lycans was interesting.

You see, lycans are different than us regular werewolves......they are bigger, faster, fiercer, smarter, stronger and more powerful than any werewolves, even the alphas. They are like killing machines when provoked.....they don't have to belong to a pack. They can travel anywhere alone and not be considered a rogue. And fifth, they don't have mates chosen for them by the moon goddess like us regular werewolves.

What lycans do have is an erasthai

”........The only way for us to have mates is when we feel the attraction... or when we meet what we call our erasthai. It only happens once for every lycan, because when we find our erasthai, we claim them. Our erasthai could be anyone, a mated or unmated werewolf, a human, married or not, another lycan, or a fae. What we don't do is let them get away. Ever.

So the setup was good and even though I had issues it was interesting enough to keep me reading.

Having read the reviews for Fighting Darius I’m skipping that one. But depending on the reviews I might return for Caspian.

Catching Genesis was simply adorable. It follows a young werewolf, named Genesis, who is about to turn 18 years old. She's also going to finally find out who the hell is her god damn mate too. She can't decide who it might be but she does eye some options that she would like.

Well, her life kind of got flipped upside down once she found out her mate was Logan. He's going to be the alpha of their pack and I absolutely hated the loser. He fucking denied her as his mate. What kind of douche schnozzle shit is that. I was hurt for her because she didn't deserve that just because she was a god damn omega. Fuck this douche and let's get an even hotter looking mate for my girl.

God definitely answered our prayers because here comes Constantine.. I mean CONSTANTFINE. Holy shit batman, their chemistry was intense. I loved it. It didn't matter to me that he was Lycan because that shit wouldn't have mattered to them. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she was turning into a Lycan either. Love is love guys.

Well besides romance, the women in this book and like bat shit crazy. There's Mia and Milan who were like top shit crazy and pretty good villains. Even if everything was predictable. Then there's Logan, who honestly got what he deserved. Didn't even flinch when I read about what happened to him. His dad was a douche too and good riddance to him as well.

Then there's the whole Lycan pack - and I LOVED THEM! Serena and Caspian were hilarious Not much to say on Serena's mate but they were a cute couple. Caspian definitely gave you comedic relief and I could just totally see myself being friends with him.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story that Nicole took me on. I really hope that there is another book because I already miss everyone!

Catching Genesis is really funny and addictive. The author was able to innovate a werewolf story and the book keeps you wanting more and more. I had a really good time reading it and at the same time I couldn't wait to read ne next chapter I didn't want it to end.

There’s something about this book that compelled me to keep reading. The writing style is very casual and easy to read, making it a nice comfort read. There’s suspense, but it never gets too dark, and the book itself is more young adult than new adult, since it’s a clean read with minimal violence.
This book does remind me a lot of Twilight, from the nature of the heroine, to the groupings of characters and even the turns in the storyline that the plot makes.
At first, I managed to look past the very, very, very casual writing, but at one point, it started to really get to me. The author switches tenses regularly within paragraphs, and the novel needed a good copyedit for that reason alone. A few plot points are very abrupt and unexplained. The plot lags towards the end, and could have used a little tightening up, because while I couldn’t put down the book in the beginning, I definitely left it for a few days once I got to the 50% mark.
Her love interest, Constantine, reminded me a lot of Edward Cullen, in the sense that he’s ancient, handsome, rich, and powerful, but we don’t really get a lot of personality from him. Caspian was much more interesting, but unfortunately he’s not the love interest.
All in all, this was an entertaining story, and I feel like this author has a lot of potential.

Well poop. That wasn't what I was expecting... and not in a good way.
When I read the blurb, I was expecting some entertaining scooby-doo hijinks when Gen and her friends got back at Logan for rejecting her.
Instead it was just the usual, lets put makeup on and wear a dress, crap. Wow, that'll teach him! not

I can see how this would be popular as an addictive bit of book candy, but somehow it just missed the mark for me. Starting with the misleading book blurb, and ending with a heroine I couldn't admire.

So serious plot spoilers ahead as I rant a bit...
But really how can you spoil a plot that is already obvious and predictable to the extreme?

But that's just the first couple chapters. The rest of the book was dominated by the evil OW, Milan whom Constantine thinks of as a 'close friend'. That has to be one of my most hated plot devices, where the H can't see what a scheming slutbag the OW is and takes her side over the h.
It makes the H look stupid at best. And he does.
I mean he's been 'friends' with Milan for a hundred years??? And yes... he did boink her once when he was feeling low about the death of a REAL friend. By the way,

Fortunately he gets wise by half way into the story, but then the story is all about the evil OW plotting to murder Gen because she's completely wacko.

And just to ratchet up the insanity, you can now add Logan to the list of crazy nut jobs out to get Gen. SO lets see, we have Milan, Logan, Logan's ex Mia and the psycho Gen's grandfather tried to get her mated to. Did I miss anyone?

Now as for Gen, well she's a wimp. Yes she's 18 but her reaction to anything stressful is to run off and hide. It doesn't make me admire her and I have to wonder what the boys see in her.
She doesn't get a backbone til she turns into a lycan when I guess one is magically gifted to her.

I like a story now and then where it's more candy than content. But this candy left a bad taste and I ended up skimming through the second half.
I wanted Logan to feel remorse for rejecting her, but he doesn't. Instead he turns into a lunatic.
I wanted Gen to stand up for herself without the crutch of her Lycan transformation.
I wanted Constantine to figure out Milan was an asshole without having it spelled out for him by Gen.
I wanted Constantine to act like someone who has been alive for hundreds of years, aka not a fool.
No satisfaction with any of these wishes.

And then the violence towards the end was much more than I was expecting since there was NONE leading up to that point. Killing the bad guys in gruesome ways isn't satisfying if the MCs are fools.

Anyways, OTT and unsatisfying is what I got from this one.

Safety is good

This book had so much potential to be great if the characters were just more mature. I believe it’s a wattpad story, so my rating reflects that. If you compare this to other KU shifter reads, it’s quite polished. And, I thought the world building was done well, and was unique. I liked the Lycan vs werewolf hierarchy. Very creative.

The bones are pretty good. There’s rejected mate angst with her asshole mate having sex with OP, and flaunting his pick in front of her. There’s also a CRAZY wannabe OW that causes lots of drama. I even liked the secondary lycan characters. The problem is that the characters, mostly Genesis, act VERY immature. You really have to be patient with humming, running, going ninja, childish reactions, and phrases like… cuddly bunnies and fuzzy slippers; fuzzy bunnies...cuddly slippers; Crazy bunnies! Wow! That sounds like green eggs and ham; Crazy cow and funny slippers or whatever.

The sex is pretty much fade to black, but there’s quite a lot of violence (rape, murder, ripping spines out) to be straight up YA. If this is for a young person, you may want to pre-read.
Like I said, lots of potential. Constantine and the Lycan peeps act pretty mature, but Gen is a lot to take, and we only get her POV. I had hoped that this would become a series with a more mature feel since they are older now…maybe a Caspian/Lady Celeste/his erasthai story or Penny/Darrius. Both scenarios had the ingredients for lots of angsty goodness, but this is several years old, so it’s doubtful.

****original review****
Genesis Fairchild has been rejected by her mate future alpha Logan Carrington, just when she's at her lowest in comes Constantine Romanov the lycan she's had a crush on for 3 years.

This is a solid shifter read, I was pleasantly surprised with. It is much more polished, and written better than what we typically see from KU former wattpad books. I really liked the concept of the royal more powerful lycan, and the regular weres, especially how the lycans got black eyes and veins like the vampires on Vamp Diaries. She did a good job of explaining/world building for the concept, and the secondary characters were great. There are very few grammatical issues, but not too bad. It also has many concepts that I love in shifter books...rejected mates...insta-love...alpha-possessive goodness...crazy ex....and drama, drama ,drama.

My only complaint (and it's personal so I'm not rating lower because of it) is that it's pretty immature at times. Genesis is supposed to be quirky and funny, but it was just a bit too much for me. As I've said before, shifter books (this one included) tend to have more violent darker themes to them...which I love so I really like the characters to act mature. I can handle having spines and jaws ripped out, even suggested gang rapes. I just don't want it mixed with a girl running around calling herself a ninja and saying cuddly bunny and fuzzy slippers & flying cows and fuzzy slippers & crazy cows and funny slippers AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN.

I ran across this book on Wattpad a few months ago and read the whole thing in one day. It is written in a way that hooks your attention and doesn't let go. Catching Genesis is full of suspense, mystery, laughter, and romance. I have read it multiple times now, and sometimes go back and re-read certain parts. I would certainly recommend this to anybody who loves cute werewolf stories. I loved it, five stars to the amazing author.

I don't know why I even picked this one up. I saw it rec'd on a rejected mates page on FB, and looked into it. It's set in highschool and all of the characters act like immature children (very fitting). I'm too old for high school stories....Just wanted to make a note here so I know why I dnf'd.

If you have yet to decide or start reading a Werewolf/Lycan book , I strongly recommend you begin with this one which takes you on an adventurous journey of love and laughter, fortitude and loyalty without the sense of "predictability". Brilliantly woven by an author who has an incredible imagination that is able to weave the characters into the written word! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK and I'm looking forward to the sequel and many more...

When I tell you this story was bad, please believe me. I used to LOVE werewolf stories on wattpad and I thought reading some of my favorite books from when I was in high school would help me get out of my slump. I've been in a slump since the MASTERPIECE that was Chain of Gold came out sos.

The writing? Juvenile at best. The plot? Ramblings of an author who didn't bother to proof read their story before self-publishing. Amazon, I want my $2.47 back please.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been on a 'were' kick lately. I don't know why, when, or how this pattern began but nevertheless, here I am. I've also just gotten back from seeing Black Panther and it was hella fricking good and I can't really focus on anything else, but here we go.
For the most part, Werewolf stories are basically just your everyday contemporary with a slight add in of the characters turning into animals. That's literally what most Were novels are. You either get the girl who moves to a new town, unaware she is a were and/or the town is full of them. Or, you get the girl who is super laid back and quiet and never seen until the Alpha notices her, usually after the protagonist's 16th or 18th birthday. What is almost always prevalent, is the mean girl troupe. Ugh. Ok. You all know what I'm talking about. This is the girl that for some reason wears heels to school everyday and tries to get into the protagonists way the entire. fricking. book. And, before any of the fans start attacking me for this; I am aware this usually is a good developing tactic for the characters and their relationships with one another but personally, for this book, it felt fairly 'meh'. I didn't really see why Milian would do what she did if she truly was her age. The stuff she did was petty and ugly and it didn't make sense. Also, for the group to keep her for as long as they did was a bit weird to me. Half of them didn't like her and the other half just kept her around to just be like, 'lol you were just here for conflict purposes, peace out'.
So, some character thoughts I had whilst reading. The beginning was very dramatic. VERY dramatic. Genesis turned 18, discovered she was the mate to the Alpha, was then very soon after rejected by said Alpha. Next met her Lycan mate who she had always had a crush on but never spoke too? He also could've spoken to her but decided to wait three years for some reason? I honestly don't know. Apparently I'm Grace Helbig.
I could go on but it's 11 p.m. and I have a three hour German Language class tomorrow in the morning. To sum up, a few too many troupes but still a decent read. 6/10 would recommend.
Love scenes between people in love are bad so that’s fade to black, but rape, murder and spines ripping out of the body is totally ok to show I guess.🤷🏻‍♀️
This book is clean. This book is clean. This book is clean.
Now that I have that PSA out of the way. I'll just say, that while I was digging the story line and the OW/OM drama overall, at the end of the day this was waaaay too juvenile for me. And I am an avid reader of all the high school books.
I was ready to fall for Constantine. He seemed like just my kinda guy, but all the stuff I liked about him, turned out to be just one-liners... lots of (aggressive dominant controlling) talk but very little follow through. No depth. He was a tease of hotter things that never materialized. #wompwomp
I was super annoyed that it took HER coming to HIM to get the ball rolling. He knew she was his mate, but just let all the drama with the other guys play out. He even says he was willing to let her be with the other guy if it would make her happy. #allthesideeye 😒
I was sympathetic to the h at first, but if I never read the words, "cuddly bunnies and fuzzy slippers" ever ever ever again, I will have lived a lovely fulfilling life. She was all over the place. One minute an innocent blushing virgin and the next she's posing nude. Then the next she's sexually aggressive, and 5 seconds later, she's covering her eyes so she won't see Constantine's naked hot self... THEY JUST HAD SEX. SEVERAL TIMES... Christ on a Cracker. Or Cuddly bunniessssss... whatevs. 🤡
Their pet names were so unbelievably cringey. I was ok with his "sunshine" and "sweetheart"... but then they, two 18-year old high schoolers, started veering into "my darling" and "my love"... and my eyes still haven't stopped rolling. 🙄🙄🙄{Even "Costa" felt odd}
The "love scenes" were so non-descriptive and short, that when he takes her v-card, I had to read the 2 short sentences several times to verify that is what actually just happened. 🧐 "When we became one" apparently covers all the action. 😐 Who knew? 🤷🏼‍♀️
Did I mention it's clean? yeah, well, there a bunch of teasing and talking and smoldering looks, and warnings, but then NADA. ZILCH. ZERO details when it came to smexxy times. 😩😩 God bless America. 🎉
Bottom line? 3-stars for the sophomoric shallow writing. Good ideas, but it needs some work and some mf-ing STEAM, for all that is holy.
FOR THE SAFETY SQUAD
- no cheating or sharing
- OW and OM drama
- no dubcon
Okay. So after months and months of seeing this book on the whatshot list of wattpad, I had finally decided to read it because well, its on whatshot. And I don't regret it one bit. I read a chapter, then the next, the next, on and on and on it went. I couldn't stop reading it. Be it exams or my sleep deprived brain, nothing could possibly stop me from this beauty.
I was half expecting Genesis to end up with her werewolf mate but no, it was the beautiful lycan. Nope, didn't see it coming at all.
Ohh the twists and the turns and jealousy, the emotions, holy jesus christ, I was hooked.
I couldn't be happier that its getting published.
my friend recommended this book to me, so I had high hopes for it, but I was really disappointed. Catching Genesis follows a werewolf named Genesis who has looked forward to meeting her mate, who she's assigned to at birth, for her whole life. but then her mate rejects her, so she launches this "Operation Payback" and meets Constantine, who is one of the most popular boys at school, and a lycan (basically a super-werewolf)?
some aspects of this book were really good, like the character building and the relationships between characters. I thought that the way Genesis changed when she became a lycan was written really well, she became more confident in herself and more aware of the feelings of others, especially the lycan pack. her friendship with Penny and Reese was also really cute, they seem like great friends and they supported her after she was rejected by her mate.
the first thing that I didn't like was how many things were shoved into this one book. it felt like Catching Genesis was trying to be a steamy romance, a werewolf war story, an exploration of the werewolf kingdom, and a cutesy high school drama all at once. a most books fit into lots of genres like this, but I felt like the book was just trying to be too much. there were so many different story lines that we had to keep jumping from plot point to plot point, and we didn't stay on any one event for long enough. because of this, the story didn't flow smoothly at all and it was way too fast.
I also didn't like how possessive Constantine was. his and Genesis' relationship doesn't seem very healthy. the amount of times he said "Mine" and "You are mine, and only mine" was crazy!! and he didn't even give Genesis a chance to say no to the relationship, he just forced her into it. and the phasing moments!! even if Genesis so much as looked at another guy, Constantine got really angry, almost phasing into his wild lycan form, and at one point, he almost tore Logan's head off. literally. but instead, Genesis was able to stop him, and he only broke Logan's arm. I guess that's supposed to be cute?? definitely an unhealthy relationship to me.
there were also a lot of grammatical errors in this. I know it started out on Wattpad and it probably wasn't edited by a professional or anything there, but I read the physical copy, and honestly it got kind of annoying after a while. the book kept changing from past to present tense, and sometimes that would even happen multiple times in the same sentence. and also, a lot of nouns were singular when they were supposed to be plural, plural when they were supposed to be singular, etc. sometimes it made the book kind of confusing.
I did not like this book. it had some good qualities, but the story was not very well-paced, the main relationship in the book was unhealthy, and it didn't seem very well edited at all.
I can see why this book gets recommended a low, especially for people in search of the rejected-mate storyline. But for me I just couldn't get into it at all. The writing felt very choppy and it made it hard for me to actually get into the story and connect with the characters.
This is a very young adult kind of book, with characters who are in their last year of high school so they’re barely 18 and acting such. Which is a good thing because I don’t like books where 18 yo act like they’re in their late 30s. This is not the case. It’s also a paranormal, where the heroine is a werewolf and the hero is a Lycan. The heroine in the beginning finds out her mate is the alphas son who is a manwhore, and he rejects her for his gf. After the first days when she’s a bit sad and weepy the heroine grows a pair and decides to move on and to find a boyfriend. A sexy hot gorgeous lycan babe shows he’s available to be her new boyfriend and oh, guess what. He’s her true mate. There is a lot of teen drama between the heroines ex who wants her but wants also other women, the alpha who wants her to marry his son, a ow who’s the hero’s bestie but is the real villain of the story and much more. I was a bit baffled because the story is cute until the end where it turns into a very violent and abusive carnage. The heroine is kidnapped, tortured more than once but her resilience makes her basically invulnerable to everything. Meh. What can I say, the hero is really a good guy, possessive and faithful because he waited for her for three years and never even looked at another woman, he’s protective but is also dumb because he can’t understand his bestie aka ow is an evil witch that almost kills his mate. The heroine is all of 8, and she shows it. A bit ott in the end but it was an ok summer reading.
I loved it!! An adorable story which I devoured
Genesis , a 18 year old werewolf is rejected by her a-hole mate Logan. He is a power hungry werewolf who wanted to keep Genesis as a mistress because she's his mate. Who does that? Though he might not have deserved what he got , I wanted him to suffer. She is a Lycan's, Constantine's erasthai (mate). Genesis becomes a part of the Lycan pack.
This story had a Wattpadish feel to it , mainly because it was published in Wattpad first, I think? But , I'm all up for a Wattpad werewolf HEA. The women , especially Genesis and Penny are batshit crazy , which made me love them more. Who doesnt love a girl who loves food and bed. A girl of my own heart :)
I continued my list of rejected mate, and “Catching Genesis”had some positive reviews making me interested in reading this.
Unfortunately, I’m conflicted after finishing this book. The story capture’s and I found myself wanting to know what would happen, but the writing… it’s fast paced, repetitive and I would call it immature. Thing doesn’t make sense, it’s constantly drama and little character or story development.
But even all that, I actually enjoyed it 🤭🤔
Genesis is a werewolf and by their 18-birthday the possibility to connect/find their mate opens up. Genesis recognises her mate as Logan, the alphas son. He doesn’t want her - and here it wasn’t logical as the information about pack and their members became clear. Logan supposedly doesn’t find the h worthy of the role as Luna, but her family is actually alpha-material? And then he wants her as his mistress while making another girl the luna, and later he wants Genesis to be luna but not really. Over all ➡️ Logan doesn’t make sense at all, this is just to add drama to the story.
Enter Constantine, a royal lycan. The lycan’s is some super werewolf? I actually didn’t understand if they could change. Lycan’s can choose their mate, and Constantine fell for Genesis 3 years prior and have been waiting for her to become an legal adult. From a realistic perspective Constantine is abusive, he’s constantly jealousy and threatening Genesis. Oh! But he promises that she doesn’t have to be afraid of him, he would never actually hurt her 🥸
”I might decide to collect what's mine very soon, whether you're ready or not.”
How romantic 🤥
And her mother is constantly crying or have tears in her eyes. And why did they all go to school, they were several hundreds years old? And did the humans know about werewolf’s?(I think I missed if this was explained).
”Costa..” I fire back in the same tone.
“Costa?” He stops in his track. He raises an eyebrow. Then his lips curve up into a little smile and his eyes glint with humor. “Is that your new nickname for me?”
“Yeah, Costa...Constantine is a mouthful,” I declare. “Why? Would you prefer me to call you Pooh bear? Cutie pie? Sweetpea? Studmuffin? Chunky monkey?”
“Chunky monkey?” His eyebrows rise. His lips twitch as if he's trying not to laugh. He shakes his head as if he can't believe I would think of calling him with any of those names. “I wouldn't mind you calling me Stud Muffin.” He winks.”
I’m still curious about if we will get Caspian and Penny’s stories.
- Cheating: h mate is cheating
- OM/OW drama: h mate and H ex lover is causing drama from the first to the last page.
- Epilogue three years later
- h POV, a chapter with H
”Stop looking at me like that.” I finally snap, looking away.
“Looking at you like what?” It's clear from the sound of his voice that he finds me amusing. That's another thing that riles me. Me, embarrassing myself at every turn every time he's near, and him, finding me amusing.
“Like a perv,” I answer him, showing my annoyance.
“Not a perv when I'm looking at something that belongs to me.”
Interesting but not great. <---That's the short of it.
The longer version is that this had so much potential and did keep my interest in the characters through most of it.
I enjoyed the beginning -- the world-build and character setups -- and that says a lot since this is NA (not my usual read). I liked the concept of werewolves, humans, and lycans. I even liked the high school backdrop (at first) and the anticipation of turning 18 to finally find that destined 'true mate.' It was believable in a hopelessly rom-com sort of way.
The FMC, Genesis, was annoyingly immature at times, but so were all the characters. Given that the lycans were supposedly several hundred years old, the annoyance at immaturity did override my enjoyment as the story progressed.
As far as progression went, that was a problem for me as well. The storyline dragged about the halfway point and the climatic ending was drowned in that disappointment with predictability thrown in the mix.
What surprised me the most is that the author thanked an editor at the end. I would swear this was a book that was completely a raw draft, no editorial touch to it at all. I'm not trying to be bitchy here (ha. I know...I don't have to try). It's just...I felt like this had potential that would've benefitted greatly from strong editing. There's verb tense misuse, repeated phrasing and emo, unnecessary scenes of more tell than show, the list goes on. I kept wondering how awesome it could be if it was tightened up. Frankly, my 3 star rating is mostly based on its potentiality rather than my enjoyment.
But...I did finish it. I did overall enjoy the world and characters. And I just might continue with this author, but probably with an eye toward skimming versus immersing.
Oh...and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention sex. There are sex scenes in this. I think. They are so lightly described that I had to take it on faith that the deed was done when the 2 MCs were finally declared mated. There's plenty of page space devoted to kissing and heavy panting/petting, yet the fireworks are given more off-stage attention. Most of the scenes resulted in fade-to-black, accompanied by some giggles beforehand. Not my cuppa. This is NA, so maybe that's just the genre?? *shrug.
I had quite an issue with this book. It wasn't something small either! It was MAJOR!! Was this book proof-read before being released? Because it was awful! The constant past & present tense in one sentence!!! It took so much enjoyment out of the book!
The storyline was good, the characters were... Good/okay. But the bloomin' past & present drove me barmy!!
Oh, and not forgetting "my wolf Ezra" 2 or 3 times is fine, or just sporadically as a little refresher, but it was pretty much every time!! Especially in the first half of the book!
I don't think I'll be reading any more by this author, I'm just glad this was KU!
This is the very antithesis of what I normally read. I have no idea how stumbled into it, but I was incredibly entertained. It’s NA PNR with just enough world building to keep it from being a wallbanger. Too much sex in the second half of the book classifies it as NA, but it takes place in high school—in a similar style to Twilight(which I didn’t like, at least here the heroine is 18). At times it’s funny, but it’s also a bit gory, which is something I expect when reading PNR, particularly when reading a shifter or werewolf story.
Rejected mates? Why do I do this to myself?!
This one made me feel really old. Probably because of the countless cringe-worthy scenes written. But, it was kinda cute-ishhh.
