This is the 1st book in a series of 4. We get to meet the band and get a little glimpse of all of them. This story revolves around the lead singer Jace and Kyri. Kyri appears to be this fierce, fire red head but underneath she is an insecure little girl who has been through the ringer. Jace's love for Kyri is strong and he helps heal some of her demons. The epilogue's are epic and wrap up all the lose ends of the story with a nice bow. Looking forward to the next book!!

I found this book rather difficult to give it a rating because there were things about it that I really liked but there were aspects that I was not that keen on. However, the book did hold my attention throughout which was a redeeming quality. It is the first book in a series of four that covers all the members of British rock band, The Filthy Bangers and it sets the scene nicely for the future instalments. If you like books that feature dirty talking rock stars who like curvy redheads then this is definitely the book for you.

Kyri is a young romance author who loves to day-dream and imagine up her next great book boyfriend. She would rather do that than date men in real life. But the last great book boyfriend that she created was based on the real life rock god that she spends all her time fantasising about called Jace Hawthorn, lead singer and guitarist of British rock band the Filthy Bangers. She has idolised and fantasised about Jace for as long as she can remember and more than anyone else. So imagine her surprise on the first day at her new job as a waitress and barmaid when in walks Jace who only has eyes for Kyri.

Jace is getting bored of the rock and roll lifestyle that he has been living. He is well known for being a player and having a constant stream of one night stands and groupies, but that lifestyle is losing its appeal and Jace is starting to feel like there is something missing in his life. The band is in between tours at the moment and the band’s manager Rick has brought them to his home town to try to win back the family he abandoned 12 years ago for the music industry. He promises that he will give Jace and the band a lifetime contract if he can help him win over his daughter Kyri, giving him free reign to win her over however he sees fit. But from the minute Jace sees her picture he knows that he would be willing to chase her for free.

The relationship between Jace and Kyri gets off to a slow yet sweet start. Jace holds back all of his normal player type behaviour to show Kyri that she means more to him than just a quick fling. Their relationship soon develops but it is being built on a foundation of secrets and lies so could quickly come crashing down. How will Kyri react when she learns of her father’s involvement? Will Jace be able to change his player ways? Will Kyri gain enough in confidence to truly believe that Jace could love a bigger girl with curves?

I quite liked Jace and Kyri as characters and I thought that they made a cute couple. Jace was kind, sweet and sexy when he was trying to show Kyri how much he liked her just the way that she is. Kyri is a strong, quirky yet inexperienced and insecure young girl which has led to her believing she is not good enough for a rock star like Jace. Both characters have been hurt in the past and this has influenced their current behaviour.

Now for the negatives. I found Jace quite confusing as a character. I loved how sure he was of his love for Kyri but it almost gave me whiplash how quickly he went from being a player to wanting to settle down and knock her up. It just did not seem all that believable. As for Kyri, I know she loved Jace and was almost infatuated with him, but I just did not believe how quickly she got over Jace’s involvement with her Dad. There was such a build-up and then the lack of response almost made it seem like it was not a big deal and I could not understand it. Also, there was a very big emphasis placed on Rick trying to get his family back but we did not see any of this. I also did not believe that any father would say to any guy, no matter who he is, that it is alright to sleep with his daughter as long as the lies produce results. It just did not ring true or seem all that believable to me.

I did enjoy reading the book but if I am being honest I wanted so much more. I wanted to feel more for the characters and I wanted there to be more chemistry. The sex scenes were good but they were not change your underwear good. I want to be clear that there was nothing bad about this book but there were aspects that I thought could be greatly improved upon. Although this is not a book I would read again I am still looking forward to hearing more about the other members of the band and seeing how their stories progress as I think Alyson Hale has great potential.

Wowser I loved loved loved this story and it’s about Kyri and Jace. Kyri is a writer one day she wants to be a best selling author she also loves writing about rockstars and she has always loved Jace Hawthorn from the British rock band Filthy Bangers, her mother is not happy about that because Kyri’s father left over 12 years ago to become a manager. Rick Calloway left his family over 12 years ago now he wants his family back, Rick is the manager of Jace’s band and he wants Jace to try to get his daughter Kyri to go on tour with them so Rick can get to know his own daughter and as soon as Jace see’s a picture of Kyri she’s a big beautiful woman and just his type so he has no problem in getting to know her. Kyri has a new job at an Irish pub her uniform is a lot to be desired but it’s her first day so she’s excited, the girls in the bar are talking excitedly about Jace Hawthorn walking in but Kyri doesn’t believe them until she actually see’s him. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story I loved it and it’s my absolute favourite genre, this is 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Just like all lead singers in a rock band he is used to getting the girl Gavin a one night stand with her and never seeing her again only to Move On the next girl the next night. Until he that's not what he wants any more and a.photo of the woman of dreams is out in front of him. But she come with a catch.

Kyri Calloway is just like and other 22 year old girl on the surface a good girl living at home with her mother and crushing on her fave rock star Jace Hawtharn. But life hasn't been kind to the family of ladies while her sister is away at collage now and her mom works her life growing up hasn't been kind with a dead beat dad that left for a life without them bringin daddy issues and abandonment issues so relationships are hard. Until he was in the the bar of my new job.



I feel in love with Jace and Kyri they made the sweetest couple even though they each had something holding them back.
The story flowed brilliantly.
The plot drags you in.
The detail is on point

Overall amazing I can't wait to read the next one an what's in stall for the band. Way to go Alyson Hale .

Rocking, steamy romance!

Jace Hawthorne, the lead singer of the Filthy Bangers, is Kyri Calloway’s dream man but that’s where he will stay – in her dreams. They are worlds apart and she has never even seen him perform live since she and her mom barely make enough to get by. Then, on her first day at her new job at The Blarney Stone, she finds herself serving beer to the hottest man on the planet and his band members.

Kyri’s dad, Rick, is the bands' manager who deserted his family years ago to seek a future in the music industry. Jace likes to keep him happy but that would not have been enough to make him go along with Rick’s scheme to get back in his family’s life if it hadn’t been for the picture of Kyri that Rick showed him. She is a goddess; everything Jace likes in a woman and the innocent eyes grab his soul. He’ll go along with Rick’s plan and figure out some way to confess his part in it to Kyri after he makes her fall in love with him.

It’s a short, fast-paced story with a lot of steamy scenes and enough drama to keep it interesting. Overall the plot is pretty good and the characters are likable.

I gave 'Rock Her Hard' a solid 4stars.

The story started off slow in chapter 1, with the introduction of Kyri, a good girl just doing her normal thing. Chapter 2 is where it hooked me. The sexy Rock star who's sick of the fame and the girls, although Jace has all the dirty thoughts of a rock god and a heart full of romance. Jace has to be truly himself if he wants this girl, the hard part is making her believe him.
The story picks up and the characters develop really well. Every-other chapter the POV switches. Kyri has body image issues, but that doesn't stop her from being sassy and flirty. (Don't worry there's no health issues.) Best of all she still makes Jace work for it.
With a nice flow and the right character chemistry I finished this book in 2 days. It is an easy read and a hot book that is true to its title. Of course it has a new book boyfriend to add to my list. I loved the secondary characters as well (mainly Jace's band mates) and I bet the following books will rock too. I know I can't wait to read more about these hotties.
I only would have liked if it was a little longer.

A rocker walks into a bar and falls in ... lust with the waitress. Kyri just landed this new job waitressing, and on her first shift Jace Hawthorne comes in, what a first day! After serving Jace and having some conversation, he doesn't leave, no like a gentleman he waits so he can walk her to her car, cue the AWWWs. But Kyri's past has her not trusting him, even if he is a god rocker. Jace will stop at nothing, he is going to make her his, he just has to get her to agree and ... maybe figure out a way to let her know that he knows her dad, no biggy. When Kyri finds out that Jace has been hiding a secret, she runs as fast as she can, does Jace catch her?

So, I love a story with an over the top alpha, LOVE them, but ... Jace is like one step over that line and is more on the creepy guy side. This was a short story, but it was an ok read. With drama, some hot sexy times, and a game of cat and mouse. I give this 3. 75 stars.

Kyri Calloway is no stranger to heartache. Her father's actions had left her to trust no man. She is trying to make her way with a new job and her dream to become a bestselling author. She never expected Jace, her muse to walk into her life. What could he possibly want from her? Will he leave her heartbroken?

First, I would like to give the author kudos to picking a sexy and very appealing book cover. From the background, color and font to the sexy abs - two thumbs up and very inviting!

I enjoyed reading Rock Her Hard by Alyson Hale. The author, Alyson Hale brought her story alive. This was a great short read. I have read many alpha-male musician romance books, but Alyson Hale took it to another level. She filled the pages with drama and sex that left me feeling very satisfied as a reader. Rock Her Hard had a thorough story line and easy captured me to read through and wanting more which is awesome since this is just the beginning and there will be further installments to this Rock Her series.

Rock Her Hard was filled with page turning drama. The characters were very likable and even relatable. Kyri is not the standard small framed vixen. She has plenty of curves, self doubt and family drama that makes her feel like a friend or even one self. I related to her in more ways than one. As I read on, I kept routing for her to have a happy ending - to mend her heart. Jace was the ultimate fantasy, alpha male. Need I say more.... just HOT!!!

I would definitely recommend Rock Her Hard by Alyson Hale to fellow readers. This was the first book I have read by her, but surely will not be my last. She has talent with her writing and I look forward to reading more of her work including the continuation of this new series.

This is a quick, sexy read. I loved that Jace is a bit older and has been part of the music scene for a long time so it's realistic that he'd want to settle with one girl and I loved Kyri, she's such a sweet heart. I wish that it was longer and that they had more of a lead-up to falling in love as I love reading about the little things that come together to make them realize that this person is The One - I'm greedy for details so I'm not wild about insta-love. This had plenty of insta-lust though which helped build anticipation for the steamy scenes. The issue with her dad could have been dealt with better (it actually is resolved more in the next book but unless you read that one too, you don't really get full closure). Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I thought I would enjoy it more than I did because I love Rockstar reads. This story wasn't a bad read but it was just an okay read for me. I liked the characters in the story and the sexual chemistry, attraction and lust was undeniable between Jace and Kyri. However, the actions of the characters at times were childish and juvenile and I found the story's flow slow at times. Rick wanted his family back but I in no way agreed with the way he went about doing things. There were things I liked and disliked about this story but it did have a sweet ending.

I bloody loved this book, I couldn't put it down the way Alyson kept the suspense through out the book was exciting and I had to keep turning to see if Kyri would come face to face with her father and when, also if she would forgive Jace.

Lets talk about Jace, I mean come on he is everything you would imagine a rockstar to be, but not, he had a sense of dignity about him and I fell in love with him even more for it.

The only thing I didn't like about the book was that there wasn't enough of it, and I have pre ordered the next in the series, I cannot wait to read Alex and Damian's story.

Great read

Kyri is a writer and new hire at a local pub called Blarney Stone. Jace is the lead singer in the rock band filthy bangers based out of London. Kyri knows of Jace because he's famous but she never thought she'd meet him face to face at her new job. But Jace is there for a reason, his manager is her estranged father looking to get his family back and is using the band to do it. But Jace is thrown for a loop with love at first sight. Will the truth come out about why Jace is there? Will they get a HEA?

A “rock star romance”. Got the chance to read this for a review. It was my first of this author and i have mixed feelings about the story. A few things: I didn’t like the backstory with Kyri’s father. She was all over the place, first obsessed with Jace, then jumps to conclusions then forgives WAY too easily. I just couldn’t like her Mum, I felt like she pushed her opinions/feelings on her daughters and didn’t let them be themselves. The story was a little rushed and brushed over things but perhaps they continue in another book.

When you're a little bigger then the usual you think no one will love you. Kyri loved the rocker star Jace Hawthorne and finally t got to meet him. Little did she know she was.meet ing the.love.of her.life. Have fell in love with her instantly but could their love last? Have could have any girl he wanted and he has gone through many.girls but no one kept.him satisfied and happy like Kyri. But can get keep her happy and not always questioning whether she's enough for him and not make him stray?

The story of Kyri and Jace is sort of a love at first a sight. She is infatuated with him because he is a rock star and he is her favourite, he falls for her picture and decides he has to have her. When the two meet through less than honest curcomstances from his part, there is an instand connection! I really enjoyed this book because the caracters and scenes are well written. I got caught in the book and really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this book. Jace and Kyri are fun characters. I liked that Jace was the one pursuing the relationship while Kyri is running. Kyri was hurt when her dad left them 10 years ago and she doesn't know that he is the reason Jace is in town.

I love how feisty they both are and how Jace works hard for the girl he loves.

This is a great book and a wonderful start to the series.

She has dreams of traveling the world with her best friend to experience the exotic places that she has only written about in her novels. In reality, she has been working hard to help her mother out and has since her father, with dreams of living the rock star dream, left them broke and bitter.

Jace Hawthorne is living out his dream of playing his music in front of thousands of fans, including ready and willing sycophants. Something that he is keeping to himself is that he getting tired of different women every night. When his manager asks Jace to get his estranged daughter to warm up to the idea of his return into her life, Jace takes on look at her and know a that she is someone to spend a life with. The one HUGE snag is that she can’t know that her father has put Jace up to it.

The story line is one that I could relate to when looking at the different players and their parts. Kyri is a vivacious young woman who had her dreams, and that included the ultimate sexy man who makes her nether regions quiver when she thinks about him. I could understand her reluctance in the fact that this piece of wet dream material suddenly shows up and wants her out of all of his female groupies. Jace is a man that I would easily fall in love with. He is hot with a capital H, has the voice to melt panties at 50 paces, and has no problem loving a woman with curves.

It is a well-developed love story that has sex scenes and dirty talking had my lady parts wishing I were Kyri and hoped that I can find someone who loves my curves and tempts me to make out on the back of a car. The storyline is one that draws in the reader and pulls them into the lives of the characters. And a part of me wanted to crack some walnuts when Kyri finds out the truth behind Jace entering her life. I hope to read more books in the series and see how the secondary players find their own love of their lives. Alyson Hale has just earned her a new follower for her future endeavors.

Kyri and Jace were just great! I loved that Jace was the one to go after Kyri, and that she didn't make it easy on him. The fact that Kyri's dad has a hand in things happening kinda irked me a bit but Jace and Kyri work it either way. It was hot, sexy, with enough drama and hot sex to keep me flipping!

This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Kyri is an author, who has a passion for cooking, and Jace is a rock star, and the chemistry between these two is intense. This is a well written quick read, which is intriguing, fun, flirty, steamy, and entertaining read, and I recommend for all readers.
