I am listening to an Eva Braun depiction (on tape). If I could give it 6 negative stars, I would. Defending women, does not include defending Eva Braun, the enabler...

Why anything like this is available for free in Danish public libraries is beyond me.

I gave this book a three because it was written in such a way that I just couldn't put it down. However, I do believe the the words "based on" actual diaries are used very loosely. It was interesting but I have read/ watched a lot of stuff about Hitler and Eva Braun and this was by no means historically accurate. The sex tales are bizarre and I am wondering how much of that has any bases in reality. Actually I was left wondering how much of any of it was based off her real diaries or true events. It was entertaining enough to make me want to read her actual diary just to find out where all of this was comming from. There is a surprising amount of urine encounters in the book, it was weird. For me that made me have to see what came next, and I was a little disappointed, even though I already knew how it was ultimately going to end. Kinda makes you go EH'

I was disappointed by the book. I thought it was the "true" diary of Eva Braun but this book is "a satrical work of extrapolation that has been grafted onto a fragment of Eva Braun's actual diary wirtten in 1935" (directly from the book jacket) I bought the book online so I didn't see that when I bought it.

I'm not sure that I truly bought what the author was selling. Without her actual documentation, how does one really know what went on behind closed doors.

I don't think I'd recommend this to anybody.

This book was gripping and insightful. I could not put it down,I finished it in about 3 hrs. When I got to the end it said the book was based on the diary of eva braun. The whole time I thought I was reading the official diary of eva braun. I still enjoyed it though,does anyone have any suggestions on similar books about berlin or the hitler days.
