This book makes me physically angry.

DO NOT keep a man in the dark about his own child.
DO NOT then go on to sleep with said man while still withholding the information that he has a child.
DO NOT have the man hang around his own child without knowing it’s his child.
DO NOT tell him “you love him” WHILE STILL KEEPING HIS OWN KID A SECRET!!! ...CLEARLY YOU DONT LOVE HIM IF YOU CANT TRUST HIM WITH THE TRUTH

75% and he still didn’t know. Are you kidding me? At this point I hope he takes you to court because you’re a horrible person. So. Much. Anger.

Maybe if she’d tried to have a real conversation with him, she’d have realized he’s a decent person. But no, there really was no romance in this book. They were together one time before he went away and she decided to withhold important information, so I couldn’t route for them at all. He was so sweet and she was...well...stupid. Not to mention a bunch of random (and highly unnecessary) dramatic crap with her friend Brad and Duncan’s brother, Henry.

Okay I at first scored this three because I wanted to like it but I downgraded it and who knows I may upgrade it but I definitely won't go higher than 3. First off I really don't like 1st person. I am hypocritical about that too. I used to dabble in writing that only my eyes will ever see and I started a couple of great American novels that were less that great and they were 1st person. I don't do that anymore because it's embarrassing to remember that purple prose. But I digress, the sex scenes in this book were anything but romantic to me. They were just sex and kind of basic too. They made me cringe a little. That is strike 2 for me. Strike One: First Person. Strike Two: Sex scenes that just weren't romantic TO ME. Strike Three: He was turned on by another woman and got excited. They did not have sex but he felt electricity with her and I was like WTH? Strike Four: The Heroine. Oh actually Strike FOUR was actually an GET ME OUT of here. And truly the heroine was a bonafide, certified, licensed idiot. I was so frustrated with her sleeping with him for several weeks and not telling him that the baby was his. STUPID! So annoying. I almost had to break into Boogenhagens Captain and it was only three o'clock in the afternoon. Then his brother was something else. Evil incarnate, devils spawn, Satan himself and assorted other titles. He was just bad. I finished the book and that is because I liked little Aurora and the hero's Mom! Oh and her friend Sabrina. She was cool too. The hero did stay faithful so that was why this wasn't a one. They had a one night stand and it was so crude, oops I mean so hot for him that he couldn't forget her. And then he delivered his own baby but she never told him!!!!! And then she had a stalker, he had an evil brother trying to hook his brother up with another woman, and etc, etc, etc... Then he found out from her stalker, while the stalker was trying to kill him and then the evil brother tried to buy her off and OMG someone just stop it now. I really tried to like it but I just couldn't fully embrace it. They got their HEA and they were happy and the evil brother apologized and the end. I don't even know why I just got a meh feeling at the end. He was a good man and did Doctors without Borders and wanted more out of his life. I liked that I really did. But overall it was just not that ROMANTIC to ME. The author has great writing skills and I think it is just me. I like more romantic sex scenes and the heroine to be a honest, selfless heroine and not a liar, no matter what her reasons may be. She just waited too long. Again my opinion, please do not flay me.

372 pages of a book where the Fmc hides the baby from hero 🤮(who according to reviews is a nice guy) aaand... he’s the one who delivers the baby ( he’s a doctor- a kind one according to reviews because he’s a doctor who goes to war zones, poor countries etc) and after the baby is born she keeps sleeping with him and even says she loves him 😫and withhold the information that the baby is his. 🤭
For about 75% of the book and it looks like she wasn’t the one to tell him after all. 😱
Disgusting character this female mc.
And in what part is the “surprise”? What I saw was a deceiving woman hiding a kid from his father under his nose. She’s a bitch

I almost finished it... Unfortunately

I don't even know where to start. This rubbish should not have taken a whole day to read. The internal monologue became unbearable. I skipped pages and still kept up with the story. This idiot girl Meets this man has sex with him and gets pregnant. Said girl i.e., the h, decided to keep the child. She's a struggling female in a job she hates because of the blatant sexual harassment she faces from the partners I the law firm she works at. She's the most stubborn and irrational character I've come across in a book. And for someone who thinks she's so smart she still manages to make poor decisions and keep the man in the dark about his child despite the many opportunities to tell him. I couldn't even enjoy the steamy scenes because I thought they were just dumb.

what a waste of time .
i don't know how this got a 4 stars but for me if there was a no star this will get it and the book was long for nothing .
so the F lead meets the M lead and they do the deed for like 15mins or so any way the guy was going to war zone and told her that he is coming back after it's done , the F lead got pregnant she is scared of course this is not something easy anyway things keeps going the M lead go back home still thinking about the M lead and he wants to meet her.
well as you can guess the meeting happens and he end up delivering his own baby , nooow my MO no lying for an adult and for sure not in those matters , as you can also guess the F lead decided keeping the truth about thier kid i say i can get that this is not something you tell someone like it's a simple news but you need to put your big girl shit and do the right thing ok take a time to get off the fatigue but after that you don't have any excuse .
was the guy a bad one ? no
was he abusive in anyway? no
the first thing he did after going back is searching for the F lead and you know what it's not that she was questioning herslf as when i'm going to tell him no she was wondering IF SHE WAS GOING to tell him about the kid!! this is one of my top hate liste .
and things go on with the F lead fouling the M lead and hey i'm not going to tell him about his daughter but sur as hell i'm going to sleep with him many time so his good enough to sleep with but not good to tell him the truth !
he end up knowing sure but no thanks to her cause that ...... keeps hiding the truth till the end and what her excuse for him i was scared and let me tell you there was no way the M lead would have took thier daughter and she knew it but she kept lying ( big turn off for me )
it's his right to know as you got to know him better and sleeeeeep with him and she her self admitted that what she did and her feelings were not rational , blabbering something about rich and poor and bang bang just like that you are forgiven this is ridiculous she didn't hide a toy but a human being one may think it's a bit huge thing

The abs have deceived me guys. Now I have trust issues.

Surprise Delivery was unsurprisingly boring as fuck. I wanted to like.. truly I did.. but I honestly have no idea what the heck even happened in it. I know for a fact that the MC's were Duncan and Alexis because how could I forget two super boring people? Spoiler alert: You can definitely forget them quite easily.. I had to go back into the book to find out who they were.

Now Duncan and Alexis have a one night stand - sounds amazing right? I'm thinking this book was a one night stand and now I'm having the super awkward walk of shame. After meeting these two, they were both eh really. I didn't really like Alexis because of what she did or how she handled things in this book. Duncan was alright but nothing special either.

I was just bored in this book really. I wanted it to end and was so freaking happy when it was over. Overall, I will be hesitant when it comes to abs on covers now.

I had trouble deciding if i should put it on “contemporary romance” shelve or erotica.
The main characters have sex within minutes of meeting each other and the rest of sex scenes are pretty intense and full of details, so... Erotica?
But then, there’s a lot more to this book than sex. It has a plot and twists and turns. It might sound strange, but even if i didn’t like so many things about it, i couldn’t put it down. That’s a first for me. If i don’t like what i’m reading and especially if it’s a long book like this one (average reading time is about 6 hours), i usually just drop it.

I believed that insta-love-chemistry they had going, but i didn’t like how things progressed. I didn’t enjoy the smut part of the book. Don’t know why, but it was like a bad porn.

I was actually tempted to give it 3⭐️, but since i rolled my eyes way too many time while reading it...

I guess I am this reader who keeps thinking I will get the repeat fun I had from R.R. Banks' Accidental Fiance. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Yup, I am also a sucker for all of blurbs and covers. Lately, I have not had any of those moments I craved.

With this book, I just had to say, time to step away. I have no patience for withholding truth, especially parenthood when there is no reason to withhold.

I skimmed through the book because I found the narration boring. It had potentials as a story but they weren't delivered properly for my liking. I liked Duncan, he was a straight forward character, I had a huge problem with Alexis and her behavior. He's good to sleep with but not good enough to tell him he has a daughter, that shit ain't fly.

“Life is an uncertain, messy thing. Especially when emotions get involved and everything seems so immediate. But, even in our pain, that's what gives our lives such vibrancy. We have so little time in this world, shouldn't we spend it being genuinely happy?”

“This world is anything but ideal,” I sigh.
“True, but it still has the ability to surprise you every now and then.”

Interesting ....

I first of all want to say I enjoyed this book and it was a delightful read. My rating has more to do with the fact that I didn’t like the way it handled some very crucial and socially important narratives. The book ignores, blatant sexual harassment in the workplace, creating a hostile work environment, abuse of staff, and unfair labor practices (conspiring to terminate a woman because she is pregnant)... just to name a few. The fact that these were glossed over was very upsetting to me. I also understand fear but I really don’t understand why it took sooooo long for the big secret to be revealed? I found myself flipping through pages and not being interested in the fluff anymore because the story reached a point where nothing else needed to be said. Finally, unless the author is gearing up for a sequel with Henry, we are at a loss there entirely. Love and romance is great and we all read these books to get wrapped up in the sentiment but in my experience whenever there are greater morals or stories to be told of injustice or things that are just not right, authors address those issues head on and find a balance.

There were so many disturbing wrongs committed by the h in this story. Don't get me wrong - some I could wrap my head around, but overall NO WAY. She took the secrets way too far. First off, the insta-hook up might have been a record -- one of those where eyes meet when she spills champagne all over his tux -- and boom they're suddenly in a conference room having a sexual marathon while one wears a ball gown to boot. I certainly didn't view it as believable if you're looking for long term. It's another of those have and have-not hookups. Poor gal/rich dude. But the H made a lot more sense than she did. He was actually the more level-headed one in this duet filled with missteps. By and large, I found the story pretty lackluster.

I tend to stay away from "secret baby" stories. But I've been branching out and trying different tropes via Kindle Unlimited. I think I'll bypass the next one that pops up.

Very long winded

I mean, if you don’t mind 2 pages of inner monologue in the middle of a conversation, then you probably won’t have an issue. I felt like it just dragged on, as I said, page after page of inner monologue, very little actual dialogue between characters. I think the part that turned me off the book the most was the fact that here they are, let’s say “dating” for a couple of months, and she keeps the fact that this child he sees every single time he sees this woman, is actually his child. The other major sticking point for me, and call me crazy but I really hate it when authors do this - why, WHY would anyone encourage a woman who just found out she’s pregnant without the father in the picture, to date. Why. What makes people think that’s the best time to jump into the dating pool ? To trick another man, to find herself a sucker who’ll take care of someone else’s baby ? Why choose until you have a positive pregnancy test to date ? Ridiculous.

3 conflicts. That’s how many this author needed to make this book so long. Three not very well developed conflicts. Maybe next time pick one and make it really good ? Not that I’ll read anything else written by him though.

Just not good.

Let us start with the good things. They did the "villians" pretty well in that both of these dudes could been seen as somewhat good in a different light. You habe Henry who wants to protect his brother but his methods are horrible. You have Brad who is in love with his best friend. Yet he turns out to be a possessive creeper because she does not return his affection. Granted at ome point she even admits to using him and lies by omission at many points in the story. Not just to him but with everyone else. Each of the villains were believable in their roles. We could see them as the bad guys, understand their motives, and still get happy when they lose. On the otherhand, the MC are just...no. Lady MC is kind of a dummy. She uses the bad situations in her past as an excuse to stay in bad situations. Not just with her job but with brad as well. When given a chance to make something of herself she nearly always turns it down. It took her till the last 20% of the book to even let the dude MC know that he was the father. And she didn't even tell him. She has zero plans to tell him and was actually thinking about getting a lawyer should he try and take her away when he found out. She is a horrible person all around because she is the cause for nearly every bad thing that happened. She knew Brad loved her and showed some bad qualities, she saw Henry was mean but still let him around. She said she loved Dude MC but did not even trust him with the fact that they had a baby. Just straight up a trashy person.

I tried.

I tried so hard to like this book. I just couldn’t. I didn’t like the best friend after they found out the heroine was pregnant. I didn’t like the weird/creepy relationship with the other guy. I didn’t like the hero’s brother. I didn’t like how she has a million chances to tell him the baby is his, but never does (at least not before I quit reading). This is one of my rare DNF. I was over 3/4 through the book, but I just couldn’t bring myself to read anymore. The storyline could have been great. I just wasn’t a fan of how it turned out.

Duncan and Alexis are from two different worlds, but share a passionate night together when they meet at a masked ball. Duncan then goes off to Syria to volunteer as a Physician but he can’t forget about her and they see each other again under very odd circumstances. Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, emotion and steam. I really liked the characters as well as the story. A good read.

The book was off to a good start. I liked both main characters and their very real connection. The story was written well and interesting. I'm really disappointed by the whole Sandra thing. That's not how I would prefer that to have gone at all. This is a romance, so I don't want a main character getting aroused by an OW or saying to her and to himself that he would sleep with her if not for the other main character. If he was lying to her to be nice, fine, but he wasn't. He was turned on by Sandra and thought she was a "knockout" and would sleep with her in a heartbeat if not for Alexis and he said it wouldn't be fair to Sandra if he slept with her while Alexis was on his mind. Who cares about Sandra right now?! It wouldn't be fair to Alexis if he slept with someone else while they still had an understanding and had plans to get together when he got back. He agrees to call Sandra if things don't go well with Alexis. That's awful! He's considering another woman as an option after all he and Alexis shared and their plans to get together later. And Sandra is stupid if she's content being someone's second choice. He doesn't point out unfair to Sandra that would be. He laughs and agrees. Wth? The whole Sandra episode ticks me off.

Um...Bri is supposed to be her best friend. She wasn't supportive and said she didn't want to live in the same apartment as a screaming child and asked her how she got herself into this BEFORE Alexis even took the test. She could have said both things differently. She was very very rude. I liked her at first but not after that conversation. What a witch with a capital B. She does act better later and is super helpful, and I know she was put in a bind, but I still never gained respect again for her.

The misunderstanding and the not telling Duncan about the baby were both annoying. It drug on and sucked. I liked the Brad complication but that was part of the misunderstanding thing that was irritating. It was an unnecessary mess that didn't add to the story at all.

Duncan told Alexis more than once that he wasn't making any promises about their relationship once he finds out the truth. I understand him being upset but after the Sandra stuff, the Vanessa date, and the way he treated Alexis so indifferently shortly after the birth of the baby, he really had no right to be that harsh without condemning himself for his own mistakes. It really was ridiculous how he acted especially with him confessing his love and defending her to his brother. It was like he was making conflicting statements and decisions.

Mostly, it was difficult to like this book more because of my dislike of Duncan. I didn't like how Sabrina was, but as a secondary character, it didn't change my opinion of the book much except in that I lost a little like and respect for Alexis when she didn't defend herself much to Sabrina.

One character I really did like was Duncan's mother. She was a strong and understanding woman. I think she should have been tougher on Henry because it was his fault there were issues between he and Duncan, but I still overall liked their mom.

The ending was good but not written in a great way. It was okay, but nothing special. The sex scenes were lacking. Sometimes I felt like they appeared out of nowhere and the pillow talk was annoying and didn't sound like natural dialogue. I think this story is good but the book wasn't put together well. Both could have been better

Story of wealthy doctor Duncan and Alexis a secretary for a law firm of d-bags who really wants to be a nurse but can't afford to stay in the nursing program. They have a one night stand and she gets pregnant despite their condom usage. He ends up in doctors without borders program in Syria and goes away for 8 months.

In the meantime she ends up leading on a psychopath while pregnant and going into preterm labor on the street at 8.5 months -- after seeing D again and having a fight with the psycho. But the doctor's kinda dumb not to ask directly if it was his child... so we have page after page of him wondering and her lying and it was awful

While this has an HEA, I wasn't thrilled about how some of the storylines resolved.

This was a good read. Duncan and Alexis have a one night stand before he leaves to go to Syria. When he gets back he runs into her. Things aren't quite what he thinks. Thankfully by the end it all gets worked out. My only complaint is I didn't like how Alexis handled everything. However, I did understand why she would maybe think that way. I was just glad that his mother talked some sense into him in the end.

Ugh

I’m on the fence. On one hand even though there are a few editing mistakes the book is not poorly written. It’s really decent actually and the author does a good job with pacing. I like most things about this book. Honestly, truly, I do. But I don’t recommend it, at all. Because on the other hand, the heroine is so annoying at times I wanted to throw my phone at the wall. Almost all of the conflict she faces in the book is her fault and when the time comes for her to make decisions she consistently chooses the worst option. It was very frustrating to read, and if I’m being honest I started skimming the chapters with her POV because even her thoughts were irritating. I don’t know what kept the male leads coming back to her because it sure as hell wasnt her good choices or confidence in doing anything. 5/10

I saw this book in Amazon top 5 this week and I was completely drawn by the cute description of the book, I couldn't wait to read it.

I really enjoyed it, but if some things could have been done differently, it would have been even better.

The only thing I hated were the inner dialogues that are pretty heavy in the first 1/3 of the story. I skipped some of those because were really repetitive. Then they become sporadic and the story started to draw me in. And I really enjoyed it. Many reviews complained about the heroine waiting till the end to tell the truth about the child to the hero, but I personally was not bothered too much about it. To me she could have revealed it 1 or 2 chapters before to the hero, after it was clear how he feeled about her and their child, but the book is mainly about that truth and it makes sense to me, that it was played the way it did. In total it took her like 1 month and a half to reveal it to the hero after he returned from Syria, and he was present all the time in his child life so I wasn't bothered by it.

Duncan is a 37 years old surgeon and chief of surgery unit in of the best hospitals in the city. He's handsom, rich and son of one of the wealthiest family in New York. But despite his fortune, he's 100% dedicated to help the people who suffer and can't afford healthcare. He decides to go to Syria as surgeon with an NGO providing his services for 8 months in a hospital there for free.

Alexis is in her 20s, green eyes, red hair, curvy and she aspires to be a nurse like her mum. She is a strong girl who has went through a lot in her life. She had to abandon her Nurse school to care for her mother when she was diagnosed with cancer. After her mother's death she couldn't afford to pay for her studies and took the job of Secretary in a law firm, where she is treated like shit and is verbally harassed daily. But since she has no family, education, money and is alone in the world she tries to suck it up. She shares an apartment with her school friend Sabrina, who's a nurse in the same hospital where Duncan's works.

Alexis and Duncan meet in a hospital fundraising gala organized by Duncan. Her friend Sabrina takes her with the intent to lift up her mood and make her live a dream at least for a night. The chemistry and bond between h/H is instant and they have a passionate night together. A night which will have consequences. I would have loved for the writer to have dedicated more pages to this moment in book, because half of it is described shortly for the reader.

I loved how the story was developed and Alexis and Duncan have some pretty steamy sexy scenes.

I loved the ending.

If you skip the internal dialogues at the beginning, you will enjoy the rest. So I recommend this one.

Not having read any other books by the author before, I wasn’t sure what to expect before reading Surprise Delivery. Needless to say, I was impressed with the overall story. There is a mixture of everything in the book, from romance to suspense.

In the story we get to meet Duncan Clyburne, whose job as a surgical chief has him catering to the elite of New York. It’s his looks and name that get him to where he is today, yet Duncan wants to use his skills to make a difference in the world. When he gets the chance to leave town, he immediately accepts. But before that he attends a charity event that the hospital is throwing and that is when he meets a mysterious woman who introduces herself as Alexis. She is beautiful, smart and captivating. He is completely taken by her, but Duncan knows that he is not going to stay and he doesn’t see her after that. It is later when he is out saving the world that he can’t stop thinking about her and will not stop until he makes her his. Little did he know that by returning home his life was about to change forever.

As I mentioned before I really enjoyed the overall story, however I wasn’t a fan of was how quickly their relationship progresses at the beginning. The ending was great, I do wish the author could have addressed a few things that would have made the story that much better. It’s evident that both of the characters have pasts and difficult decisions to make in order to have a future together. Duncan wants to make a difference in the world and so is Alexis. They make a great match and the ending will leave you satisfied with their story. I highly recommend it and I will most certainly be reading more from the author in the future. :)

nother amazing book by R.R. Banks,,,,

Dr. Duncan Clyburne is a 36 year old Surgical Chief who really wants to go back to the Trauma Center where he belongs,,, he is one of the best surgeons in the area and he and his family are very wealthy so the big wigs in the hospital have him working on wealthy and biggest donors to the hospital,,, high price gallbladder surgery, general surgery things like that because she feels that because he's wealthy, he knows how to get the money from the wealthy he has an older brother Henry that's in charge of their father's company "Clyburne Financial Management and his mother Regina is still alive,,,, but Duncan needs more in his life,,, he needs his blood pumping,,,, something exciting in his life, so he has signed up for Physicians Worldwide to be sent to Syria,,, but now he is at the fundraising gala and meets this beautiful girl and now he has to go to Syria,,,, but when he comes back,,,,,

Alexis Martin lives with her best friend Sabrina "Bri" who is an RN at the Trauma Unit,,,, Alexis or "Lexi" went to the same nursing school but had to drop out because her mom got sick and she had to take care of her,,,, so now she has a job as a secretary at a lawyers office where she is harrassed all the time,,,, she goes to the hospital gala with Bri and meets Dr Duncan Clyburne and they spend some very steamy time together for awhile that night and then he leaves for 8 month and comes back to Lexi, but now she's pregnant and he doesn't know it's his,,,,, Lexi has some explaining to do,,,,

This was a great read and I enjoyed it alot,,,, the 2 characters had some great chemistry and some great steamy scenes,,,, I would so totally recommend this book to everyone,,,, !!! I got this ARC voluntarily to do a voluntary review,,,,,

NOT REALLY BELIEVABLE WHERE IT COUNTS.

This starts off with promise but goes down hill. After the initial meet, the first half of the book is the pregnant h in NY and the H in Syria working for Physicians Worldwide (like Doctors Without Borders) and unaware she's pregnant. In the second half the H has come back and this is where it becomes unbelievable.

Without giving too much of the story away, I will say this. There are two protagonists in this story. The personalities of both change drastically with out any rhyme or reason. One starts nice and suddenly becomes deranged with no rhyme or reason. There are no hints into his character or thinking that would make you suspect or believe this guy's radical change from nice, nerdy, possibly shy, benign to deranged possessive, jealous, stalking, ready to commit murder. The other protagonist, the H's elder brother, is a holier than thou jackass who believes in money, status, image and everyone outside his social circle is beneath him, but suddenly, in the end, is repentant of all his awful deeds, including those to breakup/separate the h and H. Again, no explanation as to why he was the way he was (attitudes so different from the H, though they had the same upbringing) nor why he had the change if heart.
The author could have, should have, had one well developed protagonist, but instead chose to have two and did neither justice making both hard to believe.

The other issue I had was how long the h took to tell the H it was his child. I can understand the initial reticence, but after they are seeing each other again, and especially after he tells her he loves her, well just too far fetched. Totally unbelievable, though the author does try to explain it, just doesn't succeed in my opinion.

Die Idee klang an sich ja ganz interessant, aber leider war es am Ende ein Fehlgriff.
So viele Rechtschreib-, Grammatik- und Zeichenfehler... das war schon hart. Es war nicht schön zu lesen und hat mir die restliche Freude, die ich an der Story hatte auch noch genommen. Nicht nur, dass auch zwischen „Du“ und „Sie“ gewechselt wird und man kurz überlegen muss, auch wörtliche Rede wird manchmal einfach zwischendrein geschoben, ohne, dass man sie als solche erkennt. Einige Worte doppeln sich oder fehlen ganz.
Ich finde es echt schade, denn die Fehler erwecken den Eindruck, dass es einfach schnell gehen sollte. Und dabei fand ich die Idee ganz interessant.

Jeder Charakter „blafft“ irgendwas vor sich hin, dass ich mich irgendwann gefragt habe, ob der Autorin hier die Synonyme nach kürzester Zeit ausgegangen sind.
Viele Seiten hab ich am Ende einfach übersprungen oder einfach nur überflogen, weil durch die Fehler und die Langatmigkeit der gesamten Geschichte, habe ich leider schnell das Interesse verloren.

Nichtsdestotrotz fand ich Alexis eine interessante Frau. Sie macht sich nicht viel aus Geld und akzeptiert alles wie es kommt. Sie bewältigt jedes Hindernis und ist teilweise auch zu stolz, um sofort Hilfe anzunehmen, was ich toll finde. Immerhin will sie es allen zeigen, dass sie eine Powerfrau ist.
Duncan ist mir hingegen etwas zu perfekt. Bis auf seinen Bruder hat er ja nicht sonderlich irgendwelche „dunklen Geheimnisse“ oder irgendwelche anderen „Macken“. Er ist der perfekte Kerl: bodenständig, gefühlvoll, leidenschaftlich, gutaussehend und reich.

Alles in allem: Leider eine Enttäuschung und absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Inhaltszusammenfassung:
Junge Frau aus ärmlichen Verhältnissen verliebt sich in einen Milliardär, wird ungewollt schwanger. Sie verheimlicht ihm die Vaterschaft, während sie sich weiter von ihm um den Verstand vögeln lässt und natürlich ihr Happy End bekommt.

Wer einfach ein weiteres Exemplar aus dem Genre Milliardärliebesroman sucht egal wie die Story geschrieben ist, ist hier richtig.

Mehr als einen Stern könnte ich leider nicht geben. Es gibt eine Reihe Dinge, die mich gestört haben:

1. Jede Menge Fehler Tipp- und Satzbau Fehler. Ich habe das hierdurch entstandene Stocken des Leseflusses als störend empfunden.

2. Ich finde es nicht ok, dass Alexis Duncan so lange verheimlicht, dass er der Vater von Aurora ist. Der hierdurch entstehende Konflikt wir über 75% des Buches aufgelöst und als es rauskommt, ist nach zwei Seiten alles als ob nichts wäre.

3. Medinzinisch ist das Buch unfassbar schlecht recherchiert. Meist hält es sich in diesem Bereich sehr oberflächlich, was ok ist. Aber die detailreiche Schilderung rund um Auroras Geburt lässt erahnen, dass die Autorin sich hier einfach nur ein paar Begriffe zum Thema kombiniert hat, die man in den Medien schonmal gehört hat. Aber mal im Ernst, was genau ein Dammriss ist und wie er entsteht, kann man in wenigen Minuten googeln. Die ganze im Bicv kreierte Situation ist nur gut, wenn man herzlich was zu lachen braucht, weil es so abwegig ist.

Also mein Fazit:
Das Buch hat mir nicht gefallen und ich kann es nicht weiterempfehlen.
