This book made me glad that I didn't give uğ on "Love on Cue" series after "Acting on Impulse", which failed to impress me much. And realize that I didn't the second book. It was an honest mistake, and I will give that one a chance, too, but first, I want to talk about this one.
"Crashing Into Her" was the story of who people, Tori's friend Eva and her cousin Anthony, who claim they don't want to be in a relationship and they are happy with having one-night stands, fall for each other slowly and albeit begrudgingly at first.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Eva claims this because she is fed up with men who want to control her life. Her father doesn't want Eva to move away and wants to keep her close (im his defence, he will be left all alone and he doesn't know what to do with himself), one of her exes didn't accept accept Eva's resignation because he was also her boss, and one ex tried to get Eva pregnant by hiding her birth-control pills. Anthony, on the other hand, doesn't want anything serious ever; because his father was crazy in love his mother, but the mother didn't feel as strongly. She left and Anthony's dad was left behind as the shell of the man he once was. After being dumped by one his own girlfriends, too, because she claimed Anthony cannot be faitful, since he is Latino (I don't know how sinical you need to be to think such a thing), Anthony is done for good with relationships.
Then they meet. First, it is just a one-night stand with them, but then, Eva moves to work with Tori in her studio to teach fitness. What she doesn't know, though, is that Anthony teaches there, too. Another thing Eva doesn't know is that Anthony is a stunt actor who also gives lessons on how to work as a stunt double, and this brand new job avenue interest Eva. She wants to give it a chance. In short, after their infamous one-night stand, Eva and Anthony first become collagues, and then, they become instructor and student.
And after some delicious bantering and some steamy sexy time, they eventually become an item. Their relatioship is tried by a slight issue, when Anthony turns down a stunt job because is it very dangerous for a beginner, but he does it without even talking to Eva, but Mia Sosa managed to make believe that these two people are extremely compatible when they came back together after some soul searching and a brief third-act break-up. Their story was really was fun and romantic, nothing was rushed, and everything made sense in the end. I truly enjoyed this, but I also hope I didn't read the best book of the series yet, because then, mistakenly skipping the second book could really bcome an issue for me. Fingers crossed.
