MyHistoryLab is an integral part of the Hine program. Key learning applications include Closer Looks, MyHistoryLibrary, and writing assessment. This program will provide a better teaching and learning experience—for you and your students. Here’s how:
This was a great book learning about the African American experience throughout time. I found it also rather interesting that the book touched on some points that are not discussed as much. One thing about this book is that I would be left with a want to learn more about a topic because it was just mentioned and onto the next. Great book though.
I am currently taking an African American history class, in which this volume and the prior volume are required reading. I found this volume to be equally as engaging and informative as the prior volume. I learned a lot from both of these books, and have enjoyed this class more than I thought I would.
This is a good introductory book about the history of African-Americans in America. Really it seemed more high school level, but I did learn a good bit -- though I believe I just scanned it.
