This was a great book learning about the African American experience throughout time. I found it also rather interesting that the book touched on some points that are not discussed as much. One thing about this book is that I would be left with a want to learn more about a topic because it was just mentioned and onto the next. Great book though.

I am currently taking an African American history class, in which this volume and the prior volume are required reading. I found this volume to be equally as engaging and informative as the prior volume. I learned a lot from both of these books, and have enjoyed this class more than I thought I would.

Textbooks are just so boring, man. I don't know what to say. It's cool information but it is so dang boring.

As it got more modern, naturally, it got more political and less historical. The Iran nuclear deal was not a triumph, give me a break.
