First I have to start by saying that this was an amazing read. I found myself wondering what to read next and i chose this one and I am so glad I did because DAM what I read I got.

Emma is a widow with three girls when her life is turned upside down because she finds out the truth about her husband. What she finds out totally blows her mind and she is shocked and hurt and she is determined to never love again because she doesn't want to get hurt. So she opens up her very own coffee shop to keep her busy and pay the bills that are mounting. Being single with three girls is scary for her but she knows with the coffee shop she will be fine.

Then a man Liam comes to town and he is hot and mysterious and has eyes for Emma but she is all set. She is not interested in him and she lets it be known. But Liam is determined to get his girl and when she starts to receive threats by way of letters and pictures Liam is determined to keep her safe. But he has secrets of his own and will they destroy what Liam is trying to build with Emma?

This is a MUST READ!!!!!!!! I need book two like right now!

Can I have more now? Pretty please?

This was a fabulous read. I sat outside in the sun for a lovely afternoon of reading and I inhaled this gem.

Emma’s life fell apart when her husband died. Everything she thought and believed in died with him.

When Liam enters her life she’s wary about opening up. Can Liam break her walls down? Will his secrets change everything?

This is my first read by this author and certainly not my last. I’m so looking forward to reading book two of this series.

Reviewed For Angel Babe's Blog!!

I absolutely enjoyed this book!! To Have and To Hold is book #1 in Heidi Renee Mason's The Vows Trilogy!! This is the first book by her that I have had the pleasure of reading and I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series!!
Meet Emma a single mom of 3 girls who found out after the death of her husband, that he was not who she thought he was!! When the truth comes out and his secrets and lies are exposed the betrayal Emma feels has her deciding that staying single and being lonely is better than risking her heart again!!
Emma's best friend is there to help her raise her girls and working at the coffee shop she opened to help her pay the bills!!
Then Liam enters her life!! He's a super hot, alpha FBI agent!! When he comes to town he has no plans of starting a relationship with Emma but the more time he spends with her the more his feelings grow!! Pretty soon Emma is being stalked and threatened and Liam will do anything he can to protect Emma and her girls!!
This book has romance and suspense!! It's an emotional rollercoaster ride with crazy twists and turns!! I was hooked right from the beginning all the way to the end and I dropped more than my fair share of Fbombs along the way!! This book does end with a small cliffhanger but it didn't bother me like it usually would because I know book 2 will be here soon!! Honestly I can't wait to see what Heidi Renee Mason has in store for us next since this was only book one in the trilogy!! Definitely a five star read and I highly recommend it!!

Emma McCoy found out the truth about her husband after he died, and the betrayal had her staying single for a long time, as she decided that being lonely was better than the heartbreak that love brought. So she's raising her 3 daughters, with the help of her bestie, and had opened up her own coffee shop to pay the bills, when Liam O'Reilly shows up in town. He's a super hot FBI agent, who is pursuing Emma, but she doesn't give in right away. Not only that, he didn't start out wanting to pursue Emma for a relationship. However, they spent time together, and caught feelings when she started getting strange calls. The caller switched it up to threats & sending pics of them being stalked, and that's when she was told that Liam knew a whole hell of a lot. Who can Emma trust? This story totally grabbed my attention from the beginning, while keeping me held hostage until the end. Not only was the romance aspect of it great, but the suspenseful undertones is what got my heart racing. The twists were crazy, and I didn't suspect the things that came up, so I dropped a lot of f-bombs all the way up to the finale! And this is just the first book, so I can't imagine what Heidi Renee Mason has in store for the next one, as To Have and To Hold ended with a small cliffy. So I'm ending with I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND that everyone read this book!

I feel like I had to force myself through all the cheesiness in this book. The plot was interesting, but there was no real substance to the book.

To Have & To Hold is the first book I've read from Heidi Renee Mason and I really wanted to like it. And at times I did but sadly, it fell flat. The opening was compelling and had me wondering where things would go from there. I was already spinning a few theories before I started the second chapter.

I liked Emma. I admired her strength and how she picked herself up from not just one but two tragedies. How she built a life for herself and her girls. And even though she had sworn off love, she let herself get wrapped up in it when it wouldn't let her be. Cue Liam. The new man in town. The man who can't stay away. The man with a secret that could destroy everything they had built.

In all honesty, this book had the potential to be good. The bones of the story were there but a few too many things were predictable and the language was repetitive. There was danger and romance and the winning over of 3 young girls. Overall, there were just too many holes and plot inconsistencies for me to really get into the flow of things.

This book made me so emotional. The author hits so many areas that will make you connect with the characters. She creates amazing characters that have endured heartache that one should never have to endure. The way Liam is weaved into Emma’s life before she even realizes it is quite amazing. It has emotion, heartache, and happiness all bundled up into one book. This book is very clean as well. It is a romance you will love!!

Emma has suffered tremendously. Liam has been interweaved intentionally but it turns into more. These 2 are amazing together, but have secrets. This book is a great book with no steamy parts, you have to use your imagination.

The first book in The Vow Series, and we're off to the races. Romance, mystery, wonderful characters. Emma's got danger in her life since Liam entered the picture; and more than one kind! Chemistry? Yep! Loved that I could comfortably read this book in one sitting, because I definitely did not want to get up until the very end. Now, I wait for book TWO!

Amazing!

This story just about had me on the edge of my seat. To know that someone had been stalking and watching her, could scare anyone really. Liam was a bit wrong for not at least saying he was investigating her husband, but he was true to his emotions and loved her unconditionally. If you’re into romance suspense, I highly recommend you read this series!!!

A quick light read. A widow with three children who has sworn off men meets and falls in love with Liam. There is more to Liam’s story than is first revealed. A nice summer read.

Good mystery plot

Lots of good feelings and trust. Characters were believable and could be your next door neighbors. Strong woman who allows help when needed.

Boring

I barely got through the first 2 chapters. A stilted writing style with a monotonous description of activities and uninspired conversation. The main character did inventory in her coffee shop. It took all day. Multiple references made to this dull activity, where one sentence would have worked. Or better yet, come up with a more interesting activity. Nothing to draw me into the story.

This is the first book in this trilogy. Emma is a widow and a single mother of three little girls. After the death of her husband she learned many things about him and none of it good. Now six years later Liam O’Reilly comes into her life. She reacts to Liam like she has never reacted to a man before not even her deceased husband. She is leery of the way he makes her feel. She is afraid of getting hurt again. Liam has a connection to her past. They two of them hit off right from the start. Will Liam tell her about their connection or will he keep it a secret and hope she doesn’t find out another way? I love all the characters in this series. Liam is so charismatic. There is just something about him. Emma is so caring and loving. She wants to let Liam in but worries what will happen if it doesn’t last. She has her daughters to think of as well. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and seeing what happens next. Liam and Emma are fantastic together.

DNF!! 33 % and I just had to stop

I feel like the author had a story worth potential but I just couldn’t get passed how the story was formatted and how the characters were underdeveloped. Emma is supposed to be a woman scorned due to her deceased husband unfaithfulness and deceits. But in comes Liam ( F. B. I ) and under three days you are opening up to him and allowing him to spend the night over in your home after one date granted they did not sleep together but still. Then for someone so smart she’s doesn’t notice that he’s everywhere she is. I really wanted to like this story but the writing was so mundane and just off to me. And how Liam is described is just too mushy where his masculinity? Also I skipped to the end and notice that there’s a cliffhanger and hence the trilogy that continues on to the second book.

DNF - No interest in the h, sick of the almost hour by hour details of her daily grind

Made it to 25%, but it was a struggle.

Hated the first person narrative that would slip into a third person statement about how hard it is go be a single mum and business owner. 'Making the coffee, I needed the extra milk to remove the bitternes. The single mother of three was always run ragged'

A knock on the door changes Emma's life. When she is finally starting to get on with her life, her past comes back to take her out again. There is so much she doesn't know about her husband and what happened in the past and then Liam enters the picture, someone who seems to know too much about Emma's past.

To Have and To Hold has it all—intrigue, suspense, relationships and romance, great characters, and an interesting story-line. Heidi is a new-to-me author, although I have been following her for awhile now, so I was excited to join her tour. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the first in a series, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was my first Heidi Renee Mason's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in The Vows Series. Wow! This is a great Romantic Suspense! This story is really beautifully written and captivating. Liam and Emma share an instant attraction, and a beautiful chemistry. I love Liam. He is handsome, supportive and protective. Emma is such a great and strong character! The little ones are so cute! The storyline is intriguing and suspenseful. Now, I can't wait to read the next book in the Series, For the Better or For Worse.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the first time I read from Heidi and sure her story hasn’t let me down. Usually single mom story ain’t my cup of tea. But this story came with a lot more element than I expected.

Overall, it’s a 4.3 star for me and hopefully book 2 will be out soon.

A Nice Calm Book

To Have and to Hold is an old fashioned "Love at first sight" book. There were a few problems but of course it all came out in the end. And might I say it is wonderful to be reading books no longer filled with errors.

Don't like how it is written

Doesn't feel very well written. Seems like lots of statements rather than people doing things to demonstrate what they're doing.
