An Audio Exclusive! For the first time on audio, Anne Rice, the literary phenomenon of the late 20th century, speaks.
In the novel that introduced Anne Rice to the world, Interview with the Vampire, a reporter seeks out the facts behind an extraordinary life. In the years since that publication, Anne Rice has become one of the world's bestselling authors and has herself been the subject of countless interviews, profiles, and a full-length biography. Yet who Anne Rice is, and the beliefs, fascinations, desires, fears, and passions that inspire her work, remains an endlessly fascinating topic.
Now, for the first time ever in an audio format, Anne Rice discusses -- with her longtime friend, Michael Riley -- everything from her latest novels to her relationship to some of her characters; from the relationship of movies and music to her work to issues about gender, eroticism, religion, personal freedom, adolescent sexuality, and more...
I heard about this audiobook from my Violin audiobook from Anne Rice. There was an expert at the end of that one of this audiobook. I actually already had an audiobook of Violin in my Audible app (I didn't even know or I forgot I had it), but bought it from Google Play Books. I bought this audiobook on Google Play Books too with some of my Google Play credit and like $3 from an old Egiftcard. I listened to it while getting ready.
I've had this on my TBR list forever, one of the very first free ebooks that I ever got from Sony Reader Store. God, I miss them! Anyhoo, this is a nice set of questions with a remarkable woman. Feisty, talented, with an eye for detail, a woman I admire for her efforts to save New Orleans from itself as well as for her writing.
A sweet succulent Cosy sit down with Mrs Rice. Discussing her novels, her views & interaction with her fans, no orleans, and her imaginary world, and her closeness to Lestat . A short, delightful read, or listen; depending on your preference.
It’s always interesting getting insight into the kinds of authors. I read this ‘audio series’ and it was merely a transcript. Quite a few of her points intrigued me, Anne has a strong handle on human nature as can be seen in her novels. This was a nice way to actually hear her thoughts!
