These as fascinating to me. I love all the behind the scenes and sketches of how pieces were made to make the film possible. Reading one of these a month definitely rekindles my love for this series and for the movies.

Another day, another Harry Potter film book… Will they ever stop mass publishing Harry Potter supplementary books, which even though I am annoyed about it will continue to read? Probably not haha, since they keep making money. In this book (volume 3 in a set of 12) author Jody Revenson explores the design behind the film versions of the horcruxes and the Deathly Hallows - arguably some of the most important props in the story. The book is designed like a scrapbook, including a lovely assortment of film stills, illustrations, and prop close-ups alongside the text, and unlike some of the more sloppily designed volumes they did a decent job of combining the text and imagery artfully so as not to interrupt the flow of reading the book. This is obviously a lighter version than some of the full “art of” volumes, so there were fewer examples of the lush range of design work that went into creating the many magical items, but there were just enough that I didn’t feel like we were getting short changed too much. Altogether a rather pleasing addition to the exploration of the films of the Wizarding World.

The best of this series so far, filled to the brim with juicy nuggets about "stuff" in the film version of the Wizarding World, both those in the title and others (the Sorcerer's Stone, the Mirror of Erised, the cursed opal necklace), and may I say the art print, many views of Salazar Slytherin's locket, is a lovely addition.

Realising I was too young to know that the films had come out before the last book is wild, but what is truly crazy is the departments and all those involved in the production and design of the items used in the films. Seriously! What do you mean they unintentionally creating some of the best designs for horcruxes, without even knowing what a horcruxes was.

Of the 3 Harry Potter Film Vault books I've read thus far, this is my least favorite. The scope is so small, specific objects rather than creatures or settings/locations.

Also, beware, this book is full of spoilers for people who have not read/watched the entire Harry Potter series yet.

I think out of all three bucks of the film vault that I've read, this one was definitely my favorite. More so because I finally got it inside on how they made all of the horcruxes as well as the deathly hallows.

3rd book of the Film Vault. I was really excited for this one because I’m a huge fan of anything Dark in the serie. Such as, Horcruxes and Deathly Hallows. I was not disappointed. It was really good, I like the little details about them.
