This book is about a newspaper article that says that Santa Clause does not exist. With that everyone stops believing in Santa Clause except for a little boy named Charlie. When news reaches the north pole the reader discovers that there is more than just one Santa. The Santas then call a meeting where they decide that they are going to go on strike that year because no one believes in them. However, Charlie goes to work with his dad at the postal service where he finds a letter from one Santa to another and it is up to him to go out and convince the Santas to get off strike. I recommend this book during the holidays because it gets a child's imagination going. While reading this I found myself even thinking about the different possibilities of Santa Clause and never once thought that there was more than one of them. However this does make sense and adds a realistic approach to the story. Another neat thing in the story was that the writing was always on the left with the pictures on the right. However on ever left hand page there was a little clip art looking figure adding to the story.
I like how the people don't think Santa is real but a boy named Charlie does think Santa is real. The Santa's went on strike to Miami Beach. Charlie went there, found the Santa's and told them he believed in them. by Katie
There are lots of Santa's in this book, and the author doesn't really explain why except that it takes that many to do the job. (And because it takes more than one to strike) But the moral of the story, that Christmas is worth the trouble if just one kid believes is a great idea. by Chrissy
A newspaper claims there is no such thing as Santa Claus. Most people are disappointed but just move on after learning the news. The Santa Clauses are outraged! They call a meeting and decide to go on strike. But Charlie finds evidence that Santa is real and finds where they are and convinces them to deliver presents, even if no one believes.
A slow news day causes a reporter to write there is no Santa. All the Santas (and there are a lot of them) decide to go on strike. Best part: Santas sunbathing in Miami Beach. Ages 4-10.
