Very easy to read, and of course the material is quite interesting.
But the text itself is rife with typos, at one point saying that Cyrus the Great was reigning during the AD years, and another typo misspelling a city. It's also hard to credit this text because of a lack of proper sources for where these people are getting this information, and the typos exasperate its untrustworthiness. Additionally, this history can get quite opinionated at points, insisting that things just "couldn't have happened." Given that this book is about cultures that are over six thousand years old, I call bullcrap. As with many modern books on ancient history, the actual documentation and archeological finds are very slim, especially for Sumer, Ur, and Assyria. The older a civilization is, the less we know about it and the more guesswork is done, but this text is dishonest about the guesswork, naming many things facts when there's simply not enough documentation to verify them.
kindle unlimited but one of my owned ones, 7 different books, all of which have read, but do rather like the sets because less grief with my tablet reader.

Muy riguroso, ideal a efectos de documentación. Complementa a la perfección el trabajo de otros estudiosos eminentes de la materia como Noah Kramer y Leonard Wooley.
This collection of 7 Books was informative, it provided me with a very useful overview of the history and empires of the fertile crescent. From Mesopotamia to the Persian empire through the last 7 thousand years. It also provided a delightful insight into what the everyday lives of people would have been like throughout that time period.

This is an excellent read if you're interested in this region from the start of civilization to the present. It covers the politics, wars, relationships, kings, the peoples and cultures of the major players. The Epic of Gilgamesh just fascinated me. I could not put it down. Great bibliography and footnotes. It did take longer to read than anticipated but it it helped me to understand an area I wondered about but did not know where to begin.
It is an ok book. It talks about historical things but they take a lot of liberties in how they interpret the remaining antiquities found. How they can claim some books and writings of similar topics as coming from some mythology, yet they claim their version is the most correct. So many assumptions that can't be proved yet they claim it as truth.
If reading to get a perspective of ancient civilians, it turns into more of a story telling message instead of giving specific facts.
This is a beautiful collection of books that tells in a brief-organized manner how Mesopotamia’s group development. The ancient Mesopotamia civilizations unmistakable have designed our modern world.
Ancient Mesopotamia’s books are fun, educational, and clear. If you enjoy reading history books, you must pick these ones, and travel in time with great pleasure.
