The McClane Apocalypse #10

The McClane Apocalypse Book Ten

As the McClane saga continues, the family realizes that someone in their trusted, inner circle may just be the person who has leaked precious information about them, Fort Knox, and their community allies to the men who were running the highwaymen and ultimately to whoever they were reporting. It becomes a quest for vengeance, a vengeance of the innocent people murdered for months on end by the highwaymen. Will time run out before they can stop the damage being done to their family and allies or will they sniff out the traitors in time to save everyone? And while the manhunt continues, Simon, who has finally reconciled his feelings for Sam, must find a way to win her over after the pain he has caused her fragile heart for rejecting her. However, it proves more difficult than he anticipates as she has made a promise to herself to close Simon out of her life forever. Little does she know, Simon has finally come into his own and is up for the challenge. When the story concludes, the McClane family will be put to the biggest test of their lives since the fall, and they are faced with drastic changes to their family dynamic when General McClane calls them to a meeting at Fort Knox to discuss their fates. And all Herb wants to do is hold his family together, keep them safe, and protect them. But at what cost will that come?

I live on a small farm in Ohio where I tend a shabby garden, take care of my crazy horses and chickens and enjoy writing. Check out my website: www.katemorrisauthor.com for recipes from the book, my blog, articles and information about books two and three. Book Two out now.

I am the author of the new trilogy, The McClane Apocalypse. Books one and two are out now. Check them out on Amazon, Barnes & Noble or iBooks.

The McClane Apocalypse, Book One of the series. Follow the McClane family as they struggle to survive on their TN farm. Romantic suspense filled with hot Army Rangers and a broken and beautifully flawed female protagonist. Don't read chapter two if you need to be anywhere any time soon!

Good to the last word

It's always bittersweet ending a series and this was no exception. Kate's done a great job of creating a riveting and satisfying ending. I'm going to miss waiting for the next book to come out. Great ending to an exciting story. If you're considering reading the books now that they're all published, jump right in and enjoy the journey.

So much intrigue, so much love

Excellent book. I think it is the best one but I think I said this about all the books. I never thought when I started this journey with the first book that I would grow to love the series so much. I know there were issues with the book on Amazon but after 5 minutes with life chat on Amazon, I got the correct version of the book.

First of all, I would suggest rereading book9 to refresh your memory. This book picks up exactly where book 9 ends. I don't want to give away spoilers so I will keep my review as generic as possible. A few high points of the book are, Reagan makes peace with her father, Cori has a very funny part about "the look" wives give husbands, Sam eventually returns to the farm for good, Simon finally matured and there is no epic battles.

Congratulations Kate on a great book. Hopefully this isn't the end but I can see a new beginning as the country matures. I can only hope.

Even legends come to an end.

Kate Morris is bar none the single best post apoc writer I've ever had the chance of meeting. Lots of people can right a great story. Few can write a great ending, but Kate does so every single time she puts pen to paper. I will miss the McClanes very much but look forward to her future characters. Thank you for the farm Kate. We loved the ride

Mind blowing great

Don't have the words to say how fantastic it has been to come to live this family.
This book was the best and it wasn't because it tied up ends, it was how she wrote it. Kept you get there in the story and in their lives to the end. Also much to remember from this book and to live by . Just fantastic.

It was not what I expected

This story was okay, but I don't think it did justice to the series. It seemed rushed and a lot of it was anticlimactic.

Ten stars. A crescendo!

A crescendo, as a great story, beyond great and the beyond great great of Simon and a Sam's crescendo and bodily functions!. In fact, Sam's greatest adventure, well, led by Simon.

I have been a McClane follower and asked Kate Morris to continue the series after book one. Not that my request had any importance! She did. Followed them to this end, though, like her other McClane Apocalypse books, the door is left open to curiosity if "what happened next." Though, with immense satisfaction.

I am left wondering - not being a writer, - if she did not write this series from book ten to book one! Such fantastic skill!

The wizardry, skill, profound input, thoughtfulness and research must have been exhaustive! A true and skillfull full blood author!

While I know this is the last "McClane" book, allegedly, I recognize the end door left open!

And Kate Morris, a profound author has other incredible books open, hollywoodies should take a very sincere look at her works and quit re-making old stuff. There really are book writer geniuses working today. Kate Morris, as an example!

I will severely miss The McClane Apocalyspse series but maintain hopes thar Karte Morris will continue it!

Ms. Kate Morris, thank you so much for your skill, writer ability, imagination, and excellent literary success and skills.

Very good as usual.

I was do very glad that the McClane granddaughters are a big part of the storyline again. I was hoping for that. I don't know how many of Kate Morris books I have read but I know it is many. I enjoy how she brings her characters to life and it is easy to imagine them as real life people. Some may say they are.
I recommend this series especially for those who enjoy a little bit of action, romance and real life (during the apocalypse that is).

Book 10

I don’t want it to be over!! We need more of the McClane family!!! Loved the whole series. Yes, there is a lot of religious references but if you are from the south you know that is how it is! Yes there is romance. That is life and how good books go! Yes there are typos but not many and not really annoying. Read the series and ignore the bad reviews I did and am truly glad I did! Love this series!!

McCabe stories

I enjoyed the books. The only critic would be that there was too much repetition about the arguments they had internally and why he or she couldn't be with the other. A little to much of that and I started to skip reading those portions. The topic of the family pulling together and the storyline was good. Parker and the slimy car dealer got their just rewards.

Great series

This series is very well constructed and believable. The action is woven well with the emotions of the characters. Even though some of the action seems to invariably turn out well for the McClanes, it makes for a satisfying and comfortable read. I would recommend this entire ten book series and I am sure it will become a favorite. This is the second time I have read this series and it remains fresh and the characters remain believable.

the end of a perfect read.

I tried very hard to read this last of the series as slowly as possible. It was impossible. I laughed and cried, cheered and gasped, loving every word. To the end, which I met reading much too quickly. There was so much to take in. I shared the grief with this wonderful family as well. It is the mark of a great author that allows the reader to become part of the narrative!

Five Stars For The Series!

Yes....have read all ten books and loved this series so much! Toward the end, Sam's little lovesick tantrums with Simon got to be a little tedious, but oh their ending was so worth it! Thank you Kate Morris, for an awesome adventure, a heartwarming family story and an apocalyptic story of hope. Read this series y'all!

The Best One Yet!

There's a song that says "you saved the best for last." That's surely the truth in the McClane Apocalypse series. The story comes to an end, but the characters live on in our imagination. If you haven't read this series, you need to do so now!

How could I not read book ten? Is this the last book? If there were another or two I would read them because these people are my old friends now. Thanks for writing and all your long hours for us to enjoy!
