This is, without question, my all-time favorite recipe book! I just love the way the author merges the old-fashioned recipes and cooking methods with all the modern appliances. The recipes are well laid out and easy to follow, while the excellent drawings and the brief history behind the various dishes and cooking methods adds a delightful touch. I would highly recommend The Country Kitchen to every cook!
