A 'Mating Season' novella.

Devon Reilly had a plan – run a successful hair salon and make enough money to move to Paris to find love. When Bosun Lindholm crashes into her she finds a man that turns her world upside down within days. Suddenly the need to leave Winter Valley disappears as she falls for someone close to home. But Bosun’s more than just a sexy auto-mechanic, and the truth he reveals spins her out of control.

Bosun Lindholm used to burn through women faster than a tank of gas. Bored with his life he’d sworn off dating, until the day he runs into a fiery vixen that makes his engine purr. Devon is his true mate, and he’ll do anything to make her his wife. But this time he’s met his match, and he’ll need more than charm to win the woman of his dreams.

Basically, this was something I could read, that wasn't long, that I don't need to write a review on. Mind you, these books are like mini novellas. In particular, I liked this one more than I thought I would. It is fast-paced but genuinely a good story.

Devon has a plan that includes moving to Paris not falling in love. Never did she intend to meet Bosun but as fate would have it did in the form of a fender bender. Thankfully Bosun has what it takes to get Devon's baby Cherry back on the road. Her best friend Katie warns her that Bosun is a player which seems perfect for Devon who doesn't want to be stuck in town. While the pair spends more time together it becomes apparent that they may be getting more attached than Devon planned. However, Bosun has a secret that could change anything.

I like Devon we've had a little chance to know her in the past book and now it's her chance to have a happy ever after. I like Bosun he's a good guy even he just turns a little furry and howls at the moon. They complement each other week and it just works. I like the chemistry between them it's sizzling which is how I think it should be.

I've had this one on my kindle for a while but after reading the prior book I knew I had to give it a chance. I'm so glad that I did because it doesn't disappoint. I'm a sucker for a whirlwind shifter romance with a well-balanced story and steamy moments. I love that the characters are easy to connect with you can't help loving Devon as she's a sweetheart. Bosun is a good guy who may just have needed the right girl to settle him down. I enjoyed the author's storytelling she's created this captivating world with perfect sweet happy ever afters. I can't wait to read more of Winter Valley Wolves stories. Perfect for a quick read.

4.0⭐️ — Great — Second book in a serie.

This is a SHORT STORY too, and although the author states it can be read in any order, I recommend you read the BRINDLE Book before. If you did, prepare yourself to another short and breathtaking story from the first to the last page.

Again Vaughn’s writing style is captivating and delightful. The characters are well developed for a story that is told in such few pages. The main plot involving Devon and Bosun is complete, but there are things explained in the first story that makes easier to understand the surroundings and feelings involved. Once more, you feel that the story could be more developed, so you could enjoy the characters a little more...

This story is published in Amazon with an alternative title: LICENSE TO WEREWOLF

I am still loving this series. This book was different from book 1, but still had the charm that I loved. These books are such quick reads, and I love these characters and the pairings for these characters. I cannot wait to read about Berch's story and his relationship with Raven.

I was given an ARC of Bosun from the author, in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved reading about Bosun & the Winter Valley Wolves, especially having Katie pop into the story every know & then. I was quickly sucked into the story, then spat out at the end... why do couldn't this be longer???

Devon always had a dream, save enough money to move to France & marry a hot Frenchman... Then within a few days her lifes dream is turned upside down when she's back ended by non- other than Bosun Lindholm. Bosun has never settled for one woman, waiting for his true mate & not dating until she was found.... but once she's found, he wont be letting go.

The friendship between Katie & Devon is wicked to read, although Katie obviously feels bad for not being able to tell Devon the truth behind her going to college. The heat between Bosun & Devon is panty melting... I enjoyed reading their interractions very much.

Bosun is book 2 in V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" series, which in turn is a part of the "Mating Season" pack series. A set of books from 6 authors, 6 different packs & an individuals story on finding their mate. I can't wait to read the last novella from V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" & to delve into the other authors work in the "Mating Season" series.

I liked this book. While I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one, I still liked it. It was a cute, easy, and quick read.
Devon was okay but she fell a little flat for me. I know that because these installments are so short, the characters aren’t supposed to be complex, but I found her overly one dimensional. I felt like V. Vaughn told me what Devon was feeling instead of showing me. Devon also made some decisions and then she would just change her mind in the same page which I found extremely annoying.
I liked Bosun, but once again, I have to complain about how the author didn’t flush him out enough. I feel like we got barely any character development from him and his character came off flat as well.
Another complaint I have would be that the love between Devon and Bosun felt extremely insta-lovey. They knew each other for like two days and they are already saying “I love you”. I understand the mate bond is strong but… really?
Overall, I did enjoy this book. I knew going in that it wasn’t going to be a five-star read, but I do wish that some things would have been flushed out more.

I liked the story and I enjoyed reading about how these two get together. I'm not sure I get the fact turnaround by Devon. That aside, I enjoyed the book and will read more by the author and especially in the series.

Devon owns a hair salon with dreams of going to Paris. All that changes when she gets into a car accident with a gorgeous mechanic. Things heat up between her and Bosun pretty fast. She has a long list of ex-boyfriends with broken hearts and she’s finally met her no-strings match in Bosun.
He’s the eldest werewolf of his brothers and though he loves women, he’s waiting to find his special true-mate before he settles down. He finds her unexpectedly in Devon, but she’s a human with a werewolf best friend. She just doesn’t know her friend’s a wolf.
I liked Bosun much more than I did his brother, Brindle, from book 1. Bosun is older and seems more mature than his younger brother. He handles his relationship with Devon responsibly and acts like a gentleman at all times, even though he can get pretty wild. I absolutely loved the banter between him and Devon, and the way he threw her off-guard. Very sweet.
This story takes place in about a week or so. Unlike the first book, the time line doesn’t jump around but it flows smoothly from scene to scene. It made for a much easier and pleasant read.
I’m not a big fan of 1st POV narrative but I like the author’s writing. It’s told strictly from Devon’s POV but I still felt as though I understood Bosun very well.
This is definitely a good story and I look forward to the next book in the Lindholm brothers boxed set (Winter Valley Wolves Vol 1).

When a tricked-out pick-up hits a bright red VW named Cherry a HEA is born. No, not Herbie Rides Again but still a love story.

I enjoyed reading this story of true mates Devon Reilly and Bosun Lindholm as they meet under less than auspicious circumstances, when Bosun crashes his tricked-out pick-up truck into the back of Devon's precious Cherry, her bright red VW Beetle (Bug), and concertinas it. Not so good in a rear engined car. Bosun owning an auto-repair shop is a bonus for both of them. Anger turns to lust, then love and just when there's a HEA on the horizon, Devon decides to leave. Fortunately, she comes to her senses in time and they get their HEA.

This paranormal romance isn't plain sailing and there are so many emotions involved, from anger and lust to love, laughter and heartbreak, that I was left wondering what the hell Devon was thinking. Written in the first person and entirely from Devon's point of view, Bosun is open with Devon about his feelings for her, so we're not totally in the dark. But the first person narrative style is a niggle for me. I prefer stories told in the third person, so I know what all the main characters are thinking and feeling. But a good short read with HEA that I enjoyed nontheless. This series is getting better and I'm really looking forward to the next one.

'Bosun' is the second book in the Winter Valley Wolves series by V. Vaughn and the eighth book published in the multi-author Mating Season Collection of paranormal romances. All the books can be read as stand alones, they are complete stories with HEA and no cliff-hangers. I was given this copy by the author in exchange for an honest review and it took me a total of a little over two hours to read.

BOSUN {Winter Valley Wolves Book 2} A CAPTIVATING ROMANTIC STORY;

The story focuses on; BOSUN, a sultry, blue-eyed traffic-stopping gorgeous wolf-shifter who owns the auto repair shop; DEVON, sassy, charming beauty, and hair salon owner.

What you’ll find in this story; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, spectacular story-line, powerful scene descriptions, phenomenal banter, heart-rending moments, spiraling emotions, sky-rocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a heart-warming conclusion that leaves you content and wanting more.

Devon has yet to find a man she can love, and hopes moving to Paris will help. Bosun, who is known to break the hearts of many women has yet to find his true mate. A fender-bender has Devon and Bosun colliding into each other’s arms. As their romance flourishes, Bosun takes a leap of faith and tells Devon his secret. Though she does not fear him, and will keep his secret tucked away, she decides moving to Paris is best for both of them. Bosun has to come up with a fail safe plan to win the heart of his true mate forever....

WOW/SPECTACULAR fast paced well written creative read by a truly gifted author. The author does not disappoint in giving readers an intriguing plot and amazing characters that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I so enjoyed the witty conversations between Devon and Bosun. The chemistry between Bosun and Devon is more that convincing and their romance is filled with fiery passion. I absolutely adored this story, a most entertaining read. If you treasure shifter romance this is a terrific book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservation I recommend this book.

The grass isn't always greener somewhere else!

This review is from: Bosun: Winter Valley Wolves #2 (Kindle Edition)

Book 2 on the Winter Valley Wolves Series in the Mating Season Collection. Devon Reilly has always dreamed of finding love in Paris. Little does she know the love of her life is in her own hometown. When she meets the brother-in-law of her best friend, Devon can't figure out why she is so drawn to him. Of course he's hot and easy on the eyes, but he has a rep as a player and she's not interested...at first. She can't control her emotions around him and she's been warned away from him. But why? She's about to find out why and just what is so different about Bosun and Winter Valley.

This is a story of finding love where you least expect it and secrets that have been closely guarded. A werewolf drawn to his true mate makes for an exciting surprise for Devon, and the romance that convinces him that she's 'the one' is sweet and sexy without being over the top. I loved the continuation of characters from the prior book and the background about each one explains their place in the community. I really liked Bosun and Devon's story and have the next in series ready to read! Paranormal readers will enjoy!

I downloaded Bosun: Werewolf Romance as a free novella from Amazon. The short story was a feel-good, insta-love offering by Vaughn with engaging characters. The story wasn't complex, but it was a mellow read, even if somewhat pat in the ending.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance. Devon and Bosun meet during a car accident and the collision sparks something special for them. Neither of them did serious romances but this time everything was different. Devon had plans to move to Paris and not to stay in her hometown and get married and pregnant. Bosun was having fun and enjoying life running a repair shop.

Devon's best friend, Katie, is Bosun's sister-in-law. She wants them to be happy together but knows that Devon needs to know the whole truth about their family before she can make a decision. In the first book, we saw Katie struggle with her relationship with Bosun's younger brother, Brindle, so she truly understands the issue. Can Devon change all her plans and accept that the man she loves is a wolf shifter?

I recommend this short sweet story. You don't have to read the first one to jump right in but it is a good story too. The characters are easy to love and you can understand the connection they feel. The middle brother's story is next in the series and I look forward to reading that one too. I received a copy from the author in return for a honest review.

I listen to the audio of this book. Violet Vaughn has a special talent when it comes to writing. I loved the first book in this series but I have to say she toped it with this book. Bosun and Devon are such an awesome couple. I so enjoyed hearing Ramona Masters narrating his book. She did an amazing job. You get so pulled into the story when listen to Ramona tell it.

We first met Devon in book one. Oh don’t worry if you have no read book one I think this book will be just find as a standalone. Devon is hairstylist. She has this bubbly personality that you will love. I loved how Bosun loved teasing her in this book.

Bosun is this smoking hot werewolf. He has waited so long to find his true mate and now that he has found her he must tell her the truth of what he is. Can Devon handle the truth? Will she walk away once she finds out? Will she take off and run and never look back?

This was such an amazing story and you will not help but fall in love with Devon and Bosun. I have to say that Ramona Masters had a perfect voice for Devon and did not do bad with Bosun’s voice as well. This is a book well worth listening to.
