Amber can't help worrying about her kitten, Cleo, while she's at school all day. Cleo loves to explore, and when she learns to climb over the wall into the front yard, there are so many ways for her to get into trouble. One day, Cleo sees that a builder has left his van door open, and she climbs inside to investigate. Before the curious little kitten knows it, the door slams shut, and the van sets off. Cleo eventually escapes, but she has no idea where she is or how to get home. Will she ever find her way back to Amber?

Smalsumas pražudė katę. Tai istorija būtent apie tokią katytę, kuri per savo smalsumą pateko į bėdą. Laimei viskas baigėsi laimingai. Be to džiaugiuosi, kad pagaliau šitoje serijoje atsirado ir veikėjų berniukų. O šitoje būtent jis ir buvo didvyris.
My opinion is that the book “The Curious Kitten” is a good book because it was fun to read and it was about a kitten that looked like my cat Cassie. In this book Amber, the little girl that owns the kitten, is going back to school after summer break and is scared to leave Cleo the kitten behind because she might get out and be run over by a car. One day the kitten Cleo gets out and explores the work site across the street but then hops into a van to look around. A worker from the work site closes the door and drives far away from the kittens home. As soon as Cleo got out she didn’t know where she was…. I would recommend this book to someone who really likes animals like me and can’t really read long books.
Received from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Pleasant story about a kitten who gets trapped in a builders van while being curious and finds herself lost. I read this to my six year old daughter sadly it didn't hold her interest as much as magic and fairies tend to but it did help to show that having pets is a big responsibility I would recommend to children who maybe own pets (and therefore would have more interest in animal stories) or maybe slightly older than my daughter.
You will need tissues for this stray kitten read! I cried so much, having dealt with the emotional side of looking after a stray cat. I guessed what would happen to the kitten whose name I've forgotten, but I underestimate the intensity and volume of emotion because of what I've experienced this year. I was as devastated as Amber, maybe more so as I thought of all the people who lose their cats and have to spend too many days hopig for them to return.
Holly's mum does her best, but nothing brings comfort when a pet isn't where it should be. I liked who eventually ended up with the kitten, and how new characters seen at the start of the book played a huge role at the end. I was bawling at the end because the reunion was so wonderful, more so for having seen it happen in real life. This is possibly Holly's best cat story to date! It's a must for my reread pile, especially with the illustrations adding extra emotion.
Princess Fuzzypants here: As a cat, I have often heard that curiosity is not always our friend. In fact, it can get us into bad trouble. Cleo, the kitten star of this book is very curious. She is just a little kitten so she has yet to learn the ways of the world of us older felines. Everything is new and interesting. When she starts to venture from the confines of her backyard, it isn't long before she is transported away from her safe home to a distant and very scary place. She is proof that hitchhiking is not a good thing to do. Luckily, through a happy convergence of circumstances, she finds her way home and all ends happily. I'm really glad because she is an adorable kitten(I loved the artwork) and I would not have wanted anything bad to befall her. It is a lovely tale that any child, parent or cat can enjoy. I give it the full five purrs and two paws up.
again, keeping the childhood rating, this is the favorite out of those i reread. i used to be so intrigued by this book in particular and i could never get my hands on it!! im so glad i finally did when i did and im so glad i reread this because i remembered nothing
We really only keep reading these because we already have a bunch of them. The writing is very weak. There is no plot. The characters are flat. My daughter can get through them with me simply because she loves animals so much. Younger children would probably enjoy these books more.
The adorable kitten is curious about everything. Even if she sees a thread she is inquisitive that what do people do with thread. She is observing and learning things that are around her. She made two friends and they created one big mess.
Cartea a fost una destul de nostima, cu o caracterizare buna, cu o naratiune caraghioasa si putin ireala, dar totusi dat fiind prima carte citita de mine chiar merita 5 stele
