Grand Romance

Rate this book
An MM Gay Romance.

It might be a giant hole in the ground, but it’s ours.

Alex is a tour guide for the Grand Canyon National Park. Incredibly enthusiastic about nature and all its many wonders, he’s the kind of guy who expects to come home covered in dust every night. Life is great, until the manager of the nearby gift shop is replaced by him.

Logan, on the other hand, spends half his life trying to keep his new workplace tidy. He loves the sights as much as anyone, but that tour guide is a pain. He’s so full of himself and won’t listen to a single suggestion Logan has. Not only that, but that guide is tracking half the desert through his spotless gift shop.

And he’s doing it just to get Logan’s attention.

Grand Romance is a gay romance novel containing scenes as hot as the desert itself! This book is for adults only. You want a blazing affair full of twists and turns? You’ve found it!

As usual Peter Styles doesn't disappoint. I very much enjoyed this quick, steamy, fun read. There was a nice mixture of angst, sweetness and steam to keep this interesting and invested in the journey of this couple from almost enemies to lovers.

***Spoilers; not much***

This book was actually good; I actually liked this book; it was cute longer than the other mm romance books I’ve read. I am never known why the mm romance always short ... but I thought that Alex and Logan were cute together. It was good that Logan is finally gotten around to being nice to Alex since, in reality, he liked Alex and Alex finally figured well. Jane told him how Logan wanted him.....

I’ve visited the Grand Canyon Bookstore several times during my visit there. The gentleman who served me was old and gray haired. But it’s the Canyon that makes this romance grand, the protagonist’s start out detesting one another.

Adult M+M Romances seem to follow two distinct arcs. There’s the best friends who hesitate to come on to one another for fear of spoiling a good friendship--they seem to lack gaydar. And then there are couples like these two who fail to recognize their mutual attraction. Sort of like the gal who teases the hell out of the boy she’s crushed on.

The book could use some further editing. Hard to tell if the awkward dialogue is bad writing or just an expression of the pair’s discomfort. Advanced petting and oral/anal sex though not protracted descriptions.

Quick Treat

Well, this one was a quickie - no pun intended! This novella tells about two men searching for something – they’re not quite sure what, but both are missing something in their lives. Alex is a guide at the Grand Canyon, looking for a permanent relationship, and Logan is the new manager in the tourist gift store., having just moved from Boston and a long term relationship. They both feel an immediate reaction to each other, but there is a misunderstanding about what that spark is. How these two get together is a sweet story and one that the readers should enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars for the cover alone.

I could embarrass myself oversharing about how sexy this cover is but I'll focus on the content instead. This was adorable. A quick, delightful read that I devoured in a single session. I just loved it. And I'll be keeping it on my homepage for the cover model's sexy stare to distract me for awhile.

It was a little slow to start, but the stories and characters were really lovable and sweet. I wish it was a little longer.

Exciting in a romantic way

Not my usual, but it was good. A standard get to know you kind of romance with a small bit of heat tossed in.
