Light and sweet

Adorable

Fluffy and cute

And yes, I am shamelessly using an adorable puppy gif in the most gratuitous manner. Lol. This novel was all of the above, mixed in with a little angst but it was enjoyable and the 2 MC's were very likable. The H Sayid is the king of a middle eastern kingdom and the novel starts off on a most dramatic note that almost hearkens back to the old vintage sheikh romances where the young heroine is given as a gift to the H. The heroine Lina is a 17 yr old orphan whose uncle has given her as a gift to the king; at the time she had been sent to the palace, the then king had been the H's lecherous, corrupt and ailing uncle. The old lecher wasn't able to meet or even see the heroine because he was too ill and when he eventually died, Lina assumed naively that she will be passed on to Sayid. The first encounter between these MC's is sexy ! They're both attracted to each and the shy ingenue Lina knows nothing about pleasuring a man so she basically just offers herself up to him. Sayid is appalled because he's in his late 20's and thinks it's improper for him to be having sexual feelings for this teenage girl. He fights his sexual attraction, because he's a gentleman but the heroine feels that it's because she's inadequate:

description

Sayid calms her fears and defuses the situation by sending her to a Swiss school where she stays for about 4 yrs. During this time the heroine becomes even more besotted with the H, even though she never sees him or even communicates with him. It's correct to say that her teen crush just keeps blossoming into a full blown fixation because she keeps reading the news for any little bits of information she can get on him. Sayid, for his part, tries his best to spend those years rebuilding the kingdom, after the devastation and warfare that had been caused by his late uncle. When they meet again, the heroine is even more captivated but tries hard to hide her feelings from him:

description

The H starts to have intense sexual fantasies about Lina and struggles to fight his feelings because he thinks of her as his ward. There's a little bit of angsty push and pull between the 2 characters and Sayid even becomes a bit jealous and territorial when he thinks a minor OM ( who only appears once ) wants Lina. They eventually succumb to their sexual need for each other and embark on a one week "friends with benefits" arrangement. The H thinks he will be able to move on with his life and forget about her after this week is up but finds himself wanting to prolong the time they spend together. He then hears a couple of servants gossiping and referring to Lina as a whore, so he thinks it's his duty to salvage her reputation and marry her. Lina refuses him even though she's in love with him. That's because she's tired of being a burden and an obligation to everyone in her entire life. She also thinks that her pedigree ( or lack thereof ) makes her unsuitable to be Sayid's queen. Lina's a very beautiful heroine but her hateful relatives have done a successful job of destroying her self esteem.

In the end, Sayid proposes to her in the most romantic and public manner in an effort to prove to her that he does love her:

‘What I didn’t tell you, what I didn’t acknowledge to myself, was that I cared about you, Lina, not as a mistress or a ward. Not as a responsibility.’ He paused and she heard him swallow.

‘But as the only woman I’ve ever loved.’ Lina stared up into his proud face, seeing for the first time the truth in those dark eyes that so often before had been unreadable. Shock slammed into her and she staggered, only Sayid’s hold keeping her upright. ‘Lina? Lina! Are you all right?’

All right?

When the man she’d adored since she was seventeen said he loved her?

‘Do you mean it?’ She wanted so much to believe but it was too incredible. ‘

More than anything, sweet Lina.’ This time his half-smile held the smoky promise that always made her toes curl. ‘You’re the sun and the stars to me, habib albi. You are my heart and my soul. You make me want to be a better man.’

Emotion clotted in Lina’s throat as she read the truth in his eyes. She barely had time to register it before he was bending, slipping down onto his knees before her.

‘Sayid?’

She looked into his face and saw nothing but joy and fierce determination.

‘What are you doing?’

‘Proving as best I can that I love you. That whatever society says, I will never, can never be superior to you. You’re stronger and better than me in so many ways. Besides—’ he paused, a smile kinking the corner of his mouth ‘—I believe this is the customary pose for a man proposing marriage to the woman he loves.’

The woman he loves. Lina told herself it wasn’t possible, yet truth resonated in his words.

This was a lovely romantic story with MC's who are perfect for each other. There's no OW or OM and there's no cheating. It is technically a second chance story but I didn't include it in that specific book shelf since the MC's had not been involved with each other at all when they had first met. They were drawn to each other but no declarations had been made and the H had assigned himself as her de facto guardian. The H had not been celibate during the years while she'd been at the Swiss school but I didn't count this as cheating because they had not been in a relationship, had made no commitment, had not even kissed. They had basically met and parted as strangers so I don't think he was obliged to be stay celibate. He wasn't a manwhore, however and wasn't the type of H who had been involved with numerous women during those years. It was stated that he had spent a lot more time devoted to rebuilding his kingdom rather than to engaging in relationships with other women.

Inherited for the Royal Bed began with a compelling story. It was pure romantic fantasy. Unfortunately it lost the fantasy edge the moment the hero cooly offered the heroine a one week sex contract and she cooly accepted it. Even before that I didn't feel the chemistry between the hero and heroine. He kept pushing her away! This frustrated me. When the intimacy finally began it felt so clinical.

I had high hopes this romance would be compelling from beginning to the end unfortunately only the beginning was compelling fantasy.

MS West really knows how to bring the sizzle and sensual pull out with the wonderful words she writes, this story again is just oozing with a physical attraction that will move onto a beautiful romance, when Sayid the new Emir of Halarq comes to realize that he can love not just lust for the woman that was sent to him four years ago the beautiful Lina, this is a story that you are not going to want to put down, I do love seeing a hero fall in love.

Sayid has just taken over the ruling of Halarq and he is determined to change things, make things better than they were when his uncle ruled, he has not had a lot of strong female influence over the years having lost his mother when he was young, yes he has had many woman but he is not interested in anything permanent yet. However when he discovers a young woman in his rooms he is stunned at her beauty but when he realizes why she is there and her age, being who he is he sends her away for her own good.

Lina has been with her aunt and uncle since losing her beloved mother and then her father and they have decided to gift her to the Emir and she always does as she is told but there has been a change in rulers and this Emir is not who she expected, Sayid is shocked and talks to her and learns what she wants and needs and in his kindness he sends her away to study and become a stronger person, four years later Lina is back and ready to repay her debt in helping anyway she can, even spending a week in is bed and those feelings she had four ago are even stronger now.

WOW, MS West has taken me on a journey that had me sighing and smiling, Sayid what can I say what a hero he really is caring and gorgeous but he is a ruler and used to getting his own way, and Lina the strength she shows when she returns the growing up she has done and the way she stands up to him like no other ever would, and the love that is growing when he asks her for a week in his bed, that will never be enough, I loved that Lina was no pushover. This story ticks all of the boxes for a fabulous romance, a story that had me turning the pages and loving this story, this is one that I highly recommend I am never disappointed by one of MS West’s stories, a fabulous story.

This was such a good read. Four years ago when Sayid's uncle was on the throne a young teen, still a minor, had been given to the old man as a gift who was to become his concubine. By the time the girl, Lina, arrived the uncle was very ill and the crown prince talked with her briefly and sent her to a Swiss boarding school, taking her on as his ward. Her family convinced her she was worthless and only good enough to give her body to a very sexually depraved King. She was thrilled to escape that fate and go on to school since her father wouldn't allow her to be schooled....that was only for boys. A girl was not worthy enough! I would have loved to have a few words with papa dearest and after he died she was mistreated by her aunt and uncle while her three male cousins tried to sexually assault her. They were not successful. I would have done worse to that family had I the chance.

When she finishes school at the age of twenty-two she is sent back to the palace. Sayid, the present king, is in his mid to late twenties and she is still his ward. He knows that it's going to be tough having her so close because he is so drawn to her, like no one he has ever known. He gives her a job in education and everyone loves her. They tell King Sayid that she is more effective than any of the other employees that the palace employs. You have the usually angst around 75% and the HEA is quite lovely. I just love to see a big beautiful alpha male fall into love and want to have babies with the woman who became the only love of his life!

My only complaint is that it got off to a slow start which made me consider marking it DNF. I did mark it down one-star because of this. I'm glad I didn't quit because it ended up being a good story with a great ending. Unfortunately there was no epilogue which I always look forward to.

I gave this 4 *'s at first, but the more I think about it, the less I like the idea of Sayid's affair with Lina. Yes, she was "in love" with Sayid, but for her to agree to enter into the "relationship" with Sayid, the king, to pay off what she thought of as her debt to him was squiggy to me. He was her king, no matter how much it could be wrapped up in flowery language, and therefore in a position of authority over her. Aren't we in this day & age fighting that still?

That said, his ultimate proposal really got to me- in a good way.

Jis griežtas emyras. Ji nuolanki benamė pavaldinė, kuri gauna išsilavinimą jo dėka ir trokšta būti vertėja. Nors abu jaučia trauką vienas kitam- nedrįsta to parodyti. Iki kol netyčia susitikę baseine naktį pirmą kartą pasibučiuoja, taip Linai atsiranda galimybė patekti į emyro lovą, kurioje netrūksta aistringų sekso scenų. Ir nors abu išdidūs- vis vien rado būdą būti kartu.

This was my first Annie West book and I found it romantic and sexy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Two people from different worlds are thrown together because of an outdated custom, determined to not take advantage Sayid sends Lina away to be educated. He was so determined to do the right thing, that he forgot about emotions, those pesky little things that don't always go the way we want them to. When Lina returns we see them both struggling with their desires and more. I loved both these characters and was definitely hoping they could get their communication skills working for a HEA. I'll be reading more by Annie West for sure.

When twenty-five year old Sayid finally gains control of his war-weary country after the neglect and poor management of his dissolute uncle, the last thing he expects to have to tidy up is a stray concubine from his uncles harem. Seventeen year old Lina was gifted to the old sheikh in the last weeks of his life by her rigid and provincial aunt and uncle who saw her as worthless like her mother.

Sayid is initially attracted to Lina but his repugnance for the way his father encouraged the ill-treatment of women forces him to delve closer into her reasons for being in the palace and find a solution. One that sends her far away from temptation while giving her the skills and knowledge she needs to make an independent life.

Four years later, Lina returns to a much improved country. Sayid is ambivalent about her return, so confident, so desirable...so popular...with other men.

Lina showed intriguing dashes of independent spirit in their initial meeting and four years later, she has developed qualities that make her perfect for her job as an educational liaison person to help encourage the burgeoning countries rural tribes to seek out education for their children.

The other qualities... Well they are harder to resist.

This is a lovely story about two people who meet and make a connection at the wrong time who make a lasting impact on each other. Having a second chance to revisit their attraction and work out how well they fit into each other's lives makes for a great story.

I loved how both characters met the needs of each other, sometimes instinctively, sometimes with making the time to ask. The ending was satisfying.

I would have preferred less detail about his love life between the time they first met and the present. Not that there was anything wrong with him taking lovers, being single and unattached, but it would have given me a little extra buzz to know that his feeling for the young woman who touched his heart (and his libido) briefly had made him less inclined to seek mindless liaisons with random hookups. But that's a me thing.

No one writes a sheikh romance quite like Annie West! I adored this book! The main characters were very likeable and were so perfect for each other. The H was kind and generous to the h, which made him stand out for me. As for Lina, she was fabulous. Strong, determined and loyal... Fantastic book.

I don’t know why but I just couldn’t get into this one. It’s not that the plot line was bad or anything. I just didn’t connect to Lina and Sayid, and their story. Just something was off the entire time I was reading it. It started off kind off slow for me, and it took forever to get into the really juicy stuff. I appreciate that Annie West started from the beginning of the story where they first met with LIna being presented as a “gift” to the ruler to be used as ever Sayid saw fit, despite the fact she was only seventeen at the time. Maybe that was what bothered me a little bit was her age, and the the fact that he had less than pure thoughts about her. Granted he didn’t do anything about it and he knew it was wrong and he helped her by getting her an education, but I guess I was a little off put by that plus it just seemed really, really long. What happened could have been shortened considerably with just presenting the setup then fast forward four and half years later and continue on their journey there. I would liked that a bit more, plus then there would have been less exploration of his attraction for her at such a young age. It would have been one thing if he told her that he was tempted by her in the past, but it was another thing seeing it in his mind explored in detail. I don’t think Sayid was a pervert or anything, but I could have used less of that.

There also wasn’t a lot of angst like I was expecting, there was a little bit, but I thought there would have been more of this push and pull throughout unti they finally gave into their passions for each other. I didn’t feel such the pull there. The attraction was there, but I felt the connection was not. It was more about the lust between the two than the love developing between them.

In fact there wasn’t really a lot of love developing between them, or at least that’s how I felt. There was very little romance aside from the bedroom activities between them. Yes, they had some intimate moments and talks, but he never really made any grand gestures towards her to show that he cared. Now with Lina, she showed she cared about in a a few different ways by taking care of him, which was really sweet while with him not so much. And I needed to see more of a grand gesture from him than I got because it felt very unbelievable that he was in love with her by the book’s end. I think he should have taken her to the desert for a romantic evening. Just saying.

I will say that the way it was written was really good with lot of good imagery that really putting me in the setting of this book. I felt I was really there with all of the descriptions and just all the evocative language that was used. And that was really what drew me into the story in the beginning, but then it just dragged on after that. I I wish there was a romantic scene in the desert with all the the vivid imagery that was in the beginning of the book. I would have really enjoyed that.

The love scenes were okay, but they were nothing special about them. They were just the same only love scene that I have read millions of times before. There was nothing unique about them. Nothing to really stand out. They were good, but they didn’t knock my socks off either. I think the sexy scene was in the beginning when she was massaging his feet and taking care of him. That was sweet and lovely. The love scenes were really just lust and passion. There needed to be a little bit more depth to them. Granted they did have moments of intimacy between them and the closeness in the aftermath which was good, but I felt the love was missing.

Overall, it was an okay book. It wasn’t the best nor was it the worst I have ever read. I have certainly read books that have been better written by Annie West, and I was really expecting this book to knock my socks off. It just didn’t. I was expecting so much more especially considering the premise behind it. I thought there would have been a lot more angst between them. A lot more push and pull between them. And just something more between them than the lust. It was hard to see the love building between them because I wasn’t feeling it. I think the beginning was a little long and drawn out, and I wish that they flashed forward a lot sooner than actually did. I didn’t need four or five chapters where she was only 17 and lust for her was on full display. That wasn’t really a turn on for me. I would have preferred just one chapter with the setup then have it fast forward four and half years later and kind summarized what Sayid did with Lina back then. I think then there would have been more focus on their present relationship than their past one. Just the whole 17 thing really threw me off, and I didn’t want to see him lusting over her at that age. It came off as kind creepy. Just I was missing something. I didn’t connect to it nor the characters. I was invested in their relationship or their romance therefore it was just hard to get into the story, but that was just me.

I have been collecting Annie West books for quite a while now from all different sources second-hand shops and Op shops it can be very difficult to obtain older books no-one seems to want to part with them I know I don’t.

I was very fortunate to finally get my hands on a copy of Inherited For The Royal Bed.

I love a good Sheikh story and this one did not disappoint in any way I become totally involved in the characters and their very emotional story……. Another Annie West at her best!!!!

The Hero:
Sayid at only 25 has just become the new Emir of Halaq and is weary from long difficult negotiations with a neighbouring country that they have been on the brink of war with for several years Jeirut (features in another great Annie West book The desert King’s Captive Bride) all he wants is some peace and sleep. He finds Lina in his room she has been sent there to be his concubine she is only 17 although he finds Lina very seductive Sayid is desperate to be better than his uncle the last Emir and try and change some of these outdated traditions such as this one, so he decides to make Lina his ward and send her away where she can get an education and be free to make her own choices in life.

The Heroine:
Lina is frightened when she sent to the Palace as a concubine to the Emir (old one) when he dies she is then presented to the new Emir Sayid, although she has told all sorts of horror stories on how she will be treated she is surprised when Sayid treats her with such kindness and can’t help but fall a little bit in love with Sayid.

Four years later:
Lina returns to the Palace to find a much-improved Halaq, she has changed, now educated and working at the palace to help with Education reforms to repay the debt she feels that she owes to Sayid,

Sayid finds that the attraction is still very strong but fights it because he considers Lina as still under his protection at the Palace.

Of course, the more they are together Lina can’t help but continue to fall further under Sayid spell and realises that she loves him as more now than she did 4 years ago but throughout the story there are several scenes when she proves that she will not be a doormat and stands up for herself when she needs too.

Sayid tries to treat his attraction to Lina the way as he has with every time, take her as his lover for a week the attraction will fade (silly man) never going to happen he has met his match this time. Lina does not behave the way his other liaisons have, there are some very memorable moments in this sometime funny and very emotionally story.

(Spoiler Alert) I just loved it and found it funny when Lina tells Sayid that he behaving like a toddler having a tantrum was a really well written scene as was the one when Sayid when he remembers how things had been with his own parents and finally realises that what he feels for Lina is not just lust but love, I really enjoyed the last scene in the book read it through tears.

Well done Annie another fabulous book that I couldn’t put it down till I finished it.

Have you ever wanted to transport yourself through space wanting to feel a part of the book your reading? Have you ever wanted to see the love develop between the characters in a romance book?
Then I highly recommend you crack open a copy of Annie West's latest Harlequin Presents, Inherited for the Royal Bed, because thanks to Ms. West exquisite writing style and way with words that's what happens to the reader.

I mean I've loved Ms. West's writing since the first book of hers I read and that love has only grown the more books of hers I've read but with this one I fell in love instead of just loving her.

The new Emir, Sayid, was a ruler who wanted to change his country for the better. To give women the same rights and privileges as men , but walking into his room after taking control after his uncles death he finds a 17 year old girl named Lina that has been left to warm his bed.

Instead of making her his concubine he becomes her guardian and sends her to a boarding school to get the education she had long been denied. As the years passed and Lina grew up she fell in love with the kind man who rescued her.

Finally done with school Lina returned to her country and Sayid determined to repay him for all he had done for her.

Sayid couldn't believe that the irresistible woman now standing in front of him was his charge. The transformation was astounding and made him want her in a way he hadn't wanted a woman in years but he couldn't do that to his charge , she deserved better. Only Lina refused to take no for an answer and Sayid couldn't control himself around her so he agreed to give her one week in his bed.... but would one week be enough for either of him ? Because after claiming his inheritance he realized he wanted to claim her for life but after the way he had pushed her away would he be able to get her back and into his arms forever?

So go grab a copy of Inherited for the Royal Bed and like a junkie needing a fix , Ms. West will become an addiction you won't ever be able to get enough of, trust me I know cause that's the way I fee and I don't ever want to find a cure for it!

Now to try and calmly wait for her next release..... ok I admit it... I won't be calm waiting and I'm sure I'll have my nails all chewed off by the time that happens but one can only hope!

Inherited for the Royal Bed is the latest book by fabulous author Annie West. I always eagerly await her newest release, and I have never been disappointed. This is her usual delightful story, featuring two delightful – and sometimes funny, sometimes a little irritating – characters. Sayid is the new Emir of Halarq. Another handsome, dashing sheikh (sigh!!). Raised as a royal but not expecting to inherit the throne. As he settles in as Emir he feels a strong duty to his country and his people and is determined to care more for them and less for the privilege and excess of his position than the previous ruler, his uncle, did. Something else he did not expect to inherit? His very own concubine in the person of 17-year old Lina. Even though Lina is just on the cusp of womanhood when they meet there is an immediate, undeniable attraction between them. But Sayid is honorable and frankly appalled at the idea of owning a person, and sends Lina away to be educated. The fun begins when she returns four years later, not the scared, meek young girl, but a beautiful, feisty, independent woman, with ideas – lots of ideas – of her own. And that attraction is still there, stronger than ever.

Their encounters throughout the book are . . . delightful: “Whatever it was (about him), it made sensation fizz and burst through her veins. Was she ill? Coming down with a fever? She’d never felt like this before.” Or - “And you wanted to touch them?” “Ha! I'd rather touch a flea-ridden, spitting camel with diarrhoea than one of them.” And – “I’ve decided I want . . . more from marriage.” “More than me?” Sayid and Lina come from the same culture, but from different worlds. His incredulity that she could possibly want more than him is hilarious. But also serious and heartbreaking because neither one of them has figured out yet how to make this work.

I start smiling as soon as I start an Annie West book and don't stop until after the final page is turned. How can I not when I read something like this, “A smile skated across his face and Lina caught her breath. In repose his face was serious yet handsome. But when he smiled it felt like angels danced in her soul.” Sigh again!! Thanks to the author for providing a copy of Inherited for the Royal Bed and taking me on another joyful journey to another exotic place where there are people you come to care about.

Exotic and delightful! My attention was nabbed right off the bat as a young lady enters the realm of her new sire and offers herself for his service. She's been raised to feel less important than the men in her culture, but she knows she deserves more. When faced with kindness and opportunity, she graciously accepts the life Sayid offers to help her with and never forgets what he's done for her. Upon her return, she's grown into a beautiful woman who catches his eye just as quickly as she did years prior. The attraction is intense ... and the aftermath is explosive! The characters were developed well, and the plot while having a great foundation felt too short. Overall a very enjoyable read!

When Sayid Badawi, Emir of Halarq first met Lina she was young, naive and floundering. He took her under his wing and made sure she had a safe place to secure the education that she dreamed of, and most of all a place to call home. Now after more than four years, she's returning to his kingdom and is more decadent than ever! He has too many duties to be able to give her the life that she deserves, but he could give her one week of passion she won't forget!

Lina Rahman will be forever grateful to the Emir for the knowledge and education he gave her, and the crush she's been harboring on him for all of these years only grows stronger when she sees him again. He's a powerful, yet kind man and she would love being taken into his arms just once. When the opportunity arises, will she be able to settle for the few days he can offer her?

There is nothing better on a miserable winter’s day that to delve into the latest treat, Inherited for the Royal Bed, from the brilliant Annie West.

Despite being given away as a goodwill gift to the Emir of Halarq, Lina Rahman still has a desire to learn and participate in the modern world. Fortunately for her Sayid Badawi, the new Emir of Halarq, sees untapped potential in the innocent 17 year old and rather than keep her as his concubine as her Uncle had intended, he sends her away to school to supply her with the knowledge she craves.

Four and a half years later, a more worldly and elegant Lina returns to repay her debt to Sayid and instantly there is an undeniable attraction between the two. Lina agrees to Sayid’s proposal to spend one week in his bed with him to negate her perceived debt for the education and for Sayid, he hopes to quench his desire for Lina and then find her a more worthy husband.

There is so much to like about this story. The chemistry between Lina and Sayid gets stronger the more they interact; the romance was wonderful and shows how good the heroine is for the hero; and the ending had me relishing that Lina wasn’t willing to settle for anything less than love and forever after. However, in saying that, I loved how the Sayid makes things right with Lina. His words are heartwarming and proved to Lina how much she’s come to mean to him.

It’s a fascinating book on all levels: compelling, well written characters and a pinch of intrigue. Go grab this classic Annie West story!

Four years ago Lina was sent to Sayid’s uncle to be his concubine, but instead, Sayid — the new Emir — gave her everything she could have ever wanted – the chance to be free and pursue her dreams. But now she’s back in his country and he can’t believe the gorgeous and feisty woman before him was once the innocent and naïve girl he met years ago. Tempted by her beauty, but unable to offer her anything more than a week long affair, Sayid decides to ask if she’s interested in being his for a limited time. Will Lina fight for her shot at happy ever after with Sayid or will she walk away before she has her heart broken? Read More

I have always had a thing for royalty. And no on writes them better than Annie West. Inherited for the royal bed is a book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The transition of Lina from a girl given to the Emir almost as a slave to the girl who can stand up to him is priceless. The emotional turmoil of both the characters and the way they overcome it is beautiful. And I love the Hero Sayid.. a ruler who is trying hard to bring his kingdom to modern times... Undo everything done by his uncle.. he is generous, fair, hardworking, caring... A perfect gentle man... Love the book.. well worth it. Another winner for Annie West.

If you’ve never picked up an Annie West book before then you have to start by reading Inherited for the Royal Bed. The author’s backlist may be vast, but something about her current release makes for a truly splendid read. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter, the strong attraction and the sexiness between Sayid—a powerful ruler and Lina—an outrageously irresistible woman! The power-play of emotions is raw and real and the romance so torrid you’ll swoon!

Absolutely awesome book! I anxiously awaited this book's release and when I started reading I could not put it down!

I was instantly gripped in the first chapter. To see Lina's life unfolding, her devotion to her new position with the Emir of Halarq helping make her such a strong modern woman reinforces my love of Annie West's books! With such a strong hero, Sayid, having such definite ideas about his concubine, and reading about those ideas as they start crumbling, it's difficult not to love him.

Such a powerful and passionate read! Take the time to grab a cup of tea or two to sit back and enjoy this royal romance.

I adore Annie West's sheikh romances, and this one is her spiciest and most compelling one yet. I love it how modern and confident the heroine was despite her background, and how these two found more in each other than just the sizzling fire of attraction.

Oh Annie West has done it again another great read. This book has the #BestKissOf2018 in it. Sayid was so generous but very sensual and Lina transformed into a strong and caring young woman.

Satisfying and difficult to put down. I wanted an epilogue as the ending felt abrupt, but this was a good story. I appreciated Lina’s strength and refusal to allow herself to be mistreated.
