After reading about Mia in Rosario, I had a feeling this installment would be just as suspenseful. Mia's life has complicated moments but it was good to see Alejandro still had her back. Storyline was well written and kept me interested. Paul was a slick one. Good characters & I'm looking forward to reading more. Great read

So much happens

Mia's journey continues and boy is it a roller coaster ride. There are so many twists and turns you have to pay close attention. There are no predictable moments in this book. Once you think you've figured out one twist, another turn happens. Alejandro especially surprised me. I had him pegged as one thing but he turns out to be a whole different person. Paul.... I have to admire his ruthlessness. I wanted more bada$$ moments with Mia, but she went through a lot. This story was good, definitely can't skip pages because you're bound to miss something. The Order are a force, Mercy is upon them.

There is a lot going on in this story and there are a lot of moving pieces and double, triple and quad-crosses, and the story reminded me of that ABC spy show 'Alias' starring Jennifer Garner. The author does a good job of holding all the pieces together. However, I didn't see as much of Mia in this story as I wanted. I needed more of her whoop-ass doled out to the people that deserved it, and there were plenty of those people in this story. I'm looking forward to the next installment in The Mia Keys Series because this author, J. Kenyarta knows how to tell an on the edge of your seat story AND HE IS ... The Master of Plot Twists!

Highly Recommended: Read It!

Don't forget to read Rosario (Book One) where you'll meet Mia and get to know her and her backstory.

The enemy you know is not always the enemy!

This story was very well plotted. I enjoyed the read and can't wait to see what Mia, Alejandro and Paul do next. Mia is in a tight situation not knowing who or what to believe but Alejandro keeps telling her he loves her. There is so much scheming with the Order, it's hard to believe what anyone says in this story. Everyone has a hidden agenda. re

How will Mia react to her resurrected mother? How will she react to her sisters? Who is the father of Mercy Key's daughters. Will they rescue Joey?. What roles will XB, Darren and Assam play in the next book. I can not wait to find out.

Drip...Drip..Drip....boom!

So.... purposely took my time with part 2...and it was worth it😁 ....femme fatale Mia Keys has bitten more off then she can chew....can she trust the love of her life Alejandro...she definitely cannot trust anyone else...he's all she has...how does Kasiyah,Azzam,XB ...and other henchmen fall into the grand scheme of things.....what is The Order....and is Paul Keys really dead......all can be answered by this episode..the plots, twists and turns reads as a spy thriller...the movie version should star Shaniqua Martin Green as Mia...Sterling K Brown as Paul..Diego Luna as Alejandro...with green contacts....anyway....looking forward to part 3.....mommy dearest is alive and comes bearing gifts.......🔫🔫🔫

Better than my morning coffee

I don't know where to start because I loved everything about this book. Great plot, characters and editing. The author is still alluding that Mia has these great skills that she has yet tapped into and I for one am anxious to read about it. Paul is so mysterious that I don't know how to feel about him and then the author brings a mother who I like Mia thought was dead. One thing for sure this author is not complacent instead his stories get better and better, he leaves you wondering what will happen next. I love an unpredictable author so congratulations author Kenyarta, you officially have a fan.

THINGS JUST GOT REAL
Loved this book. And I thought the first book had its share of secrets, twists and turns. It only gets better in the second book with more assets coming to the surface and Mia still in the dark about who can she trust and why she seems to be the most valuable asset everyone is going after. Very well put together storyline, plot and amazing characters. I love how the author keeps the suspense going by giving you bits and pieces of a puzzle that will have you shaking your head to the very end. Great job J. Kenyarta. Looking forward to reading what's next for Mia and "The Order".

I felt like Mia didnt know who she can trust. I had to even question it myself. Its something about Paul that I just dont like. He seem to have way too many questionable things he do. Wait I thought his mama was dead? See he playing too many games I think . I do think that Alexandro does love MIA . I dont know as soon as I thought i figured out who was behind the mess. The story took a new direction. This was a real good book! It was well thought out and keep you on your toes . I need part 3 now because i have so many questions!

Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen......J throws you for a loop, double crosses and switch siders. So many moving parts and pieces the amount of action will keep you at the edge of your seat. Mia’s father really gives a whole new meaning of a “father’s love for his daughter”. I can’t wait to meet Mia’s momma. I didn’t want the story to end and I’m holding my breath for the next installment!

Thank you so much J for such amazing characters and storyline!

The story had a lot going on. The title alone had me going. Indeed this was a page turner for sure. Mia and Alejandro's story had so many plot twist. It was intriguing to see who was behind all the mischief. Paul Keys was The Mmmaster of deception. Just saying his name makes me stutter.... Good job J. K....

I loved this book!! So many twists but not too many that I could not keep up. I really feel sorry for Mia. Her life has been really hard and it is getting harder. I am glad Alejandro is still at her side. Thank you J. Kenyarta for another great read!

“You bastard!! Kasiyah shouted as Azzam moved in and kneeled down to cuff her. “Paul, you tricked me!”.
“Yes, I did,” he casually replied before turning to look at Alejandro and Mia. “and today, I hope we all have learned a valuable lesson.”
“And what would that be? Alejandro asked, suspiciously eyeing Paul.
“THE LESSON THAT THE ENEMY WE KNOW”, Paul began as he looked around at the faces surrounding him. “IS SOMETIMES NOT AN ENEMY AT ALL.”

This second book in the Mia Keys saga is amazing! It looked into the background of Mia’s life and more importantly Alejandro. When I finished reading the first book I really had many questions. I doubted Alejandro’s love for Mia and felt he could not be trusted. Well, now I believe that he loves Mia but I still don’t believe that he can be trusted. There is not one character in this book that is honest about ANYTHING!! But, I guess that’s what makes this book so good. Much of my time was spent trying to figure out who was telling the truth and who was not. The answer: NO ONE!! Poor Mia. She finds out that her father (Paul) is not dead, her mother (Mercy) is not dead and holds the position of Elder in the Order. So, Kasiyah is Mia’s sister, Mercy is Mia’s mother and Faith and Hope are Mia’s sisters?? I’m definitely looking forward to the next book. It’s probably worth a second read because if you blink while reading it you might miss an important clue. I recommend this to everyone who loves a good mystery and action packed novel.

I really enjoyed reading this novel because it was so well written! This novel is a sequel to another novel but you will not be loss if you didn't read the previous book. The fact that the plots were not easily predictable was a plus for me. It made reading this novel so much more enjoyable and made me feel like I was along for the ride with the characters!!! I can't wait to see what's next for the characters in this novel because there must be more to the story.

Too many enemies...

Mia and Alejandro are back and there is so much more action, suspense and mystery my head is spinning. For a minute I didn't know if Alejandro was with or against her. But in the end he was team Mia all the way. Was glad for the background story on his family and learning even more about Mia's father. Looking forward to more of the new characters, Darren, XB and Azzam. What becomes of th rescue Joey and the meeting of Mother Key's. So much more to come..

This book was seriously action packed. There was never a dull moment from page one. This wasn’t my normal genre but it definitely kept my attention. I did feel like there were too many twists and a lot of characters to keep track of but other than that, this was a good read.

EMOJIs are needed!!

I wish I could write my entire review in emojis!! It would begin and end with the "mouth wide open" emoji! It would have lots of "bulging eye emojis". I would have to create the overly excited emoji, because thst would explain just how excited I am to know that another book is coming!! I wish I could give beyond five stars. Well written and I hope I get to see this played out on an HBO series, Starz, somewhere this must be put into film. I didnt say movie because I personally prefer to binge watch! HEY AMAZON PRIME, here you go!!

That was Mind Blowing

So many twist and turns. Mia has good reason Fuji judge trust issues. With the life that she is being pulled into I'm surprised she's not killing everyone she finds suspect. Paul, can't be trusted to save his own life. I can't wait for part 3.
