Christmas Vows
Daniel Black married the woman of his dreams in a whirlwind of love. She’s his entire world and sometimes he’s a little too obsessed with his wife. So when he discovers their marriage license has been deleted from the state’s records, he loses his mind. Someone in their lives is trying to sabotage his relationship with his one and only, and he’ll burn down the city to find out who it is. I loved this one! So good! Definitely one of my favorite Christnas stories.
The story is about Daniel and Blakely.
They're already married at the start of the story but he found out their marriage license has gone missing. He wanted to get married the same day he found out but she wanted to plan a wedding.
Someone has tried to come between them and he wanted to find out who did. Her father and stepmother didn't like him but he didn't care what anyone thought of him.
I loved how possessive he was and how much he loved her. I loved how she trusted him and believed in him. I loved them as individuals and as a couple.
I also loved the epilogue.

"Christmas Vows" is the story of Blakely and Daniel.
Another sugar overload, this time with a married couple (who I believe are usually when AR are at their finest)- we have a OTT crazy obsessed husband, a sweet and caring wife, a marriage license mixup, some PDA, insane family drama, sweet sex, a Christmas re-wedding and HEA.
Enjoyed it!

Very sweet and steamy. Hero is possessive and obsessed with his wife. When he finds out their wedding isn’t valid he is determined to make her his again. Loved them together. Cute epilogue with 2 kids and pregnant heroine. Nice Christmas read.

Esta Navidad pasada no tuve tanto tiempo para leer como me hubiera gustado y tenia varias historias de tematica Navideña pendientes, por lo que pense que este era un momento tan bueno como otro cualquiera e inicie esta novela.
La verdad es que la lectura me resulto muy tierna, quizas en parte porque las historias de este duo en la que los protagonistas estan casados me suelen gustar mucho, no se exactamente debido a que, pero me parecen mas " especiales ".
En fin, una novela Navideña muy linda y rapida de leer.

Okay this was so short that if I had to pay for it I would have been a little upset. It really has nothing going for it except that the husband really loves his wife. They find out they are not married so they get married again. They try to throw some angst in with her Father and her Stepmother but it wasn't angsty. I think it took me 15 minutes to read this. It's not bad, it's just not enough and that is why I gave it two stars. I think it could have been a great book but this is definitely not a book, and not even a novella. It is a short short story. Does it count for my yearly goal? Yes and that works for me. It's like I'm cheating but I don't even know it.

Probably, one of the sweetest novellas I have read by Alexa Riley! I always enjoy reading short stories with holiday themes (and with married couples) and this one did not disappoint me. I do like reading AR's smutty goodness from time to time and Daniel and Blakely were so sweet and sexy! Definitely check it out if you are in the mood for a quick Christmas fix!

I finally have read my first Christmas book of the year!! LOL I decided that I needed a light and easy read, and right away I thought of Alexa Riley's books!! One thing that I love about her stories is that they are straight to the point, sexy, and with very little angst! This was just what the doctored ordered for me, especially with the stress of Christmas creating chaos in my "real life!!"
In this story, the hero; Daniel is already married to his wife..they are both happily married to each other until the day comes where he finds out that someone has tampered with their marriage papers; which means they are no longer legally married. Considering Daniel is extremely possessive, obsessed and in love with his wife...this will not do. He immediately becomes so agitated, he calls for a Priest to come marry them right away. His loving woman though, decides that now she has a second chance...she would like to have the wedding of her dreams. Daniel always gives his lady whatever her heart desires, so she will have the wedding she desires.
This is a short, very sweet and sexy Christmas story. It will give you all the feels that are perfect right around this time of year. I really enjoyed this story..and I have to admit that I am a sucker for those alpha males who are over the top possessive, and like to cater to their woman's every desire. I fell in love with Daniel because he is that to the extreme!!!

But is there someone trying to ruin their perfect life and are they ready for Daniels wrath?
Blakely loves how much her husband loves her, since the death of her mother she was forced to live with her father and stepmother, as she was the result of an affair neither really ever showed her much love but with Daniel she’s drowning happily in his affection. Trying to keep everyone happy she’s planning the wedding to end all weddings but once a secret comes to light will she stay and show her husband how much she loves him or leave with a shattered heart?
Very enjoyable read.

Авторките умело ни въвеждат в предисторията, в това как се се запознали, как са се сближили, и вече надграждайки историята, те ни правят част от един кратък период в съвместния живот на двама съпрузи, без да вкарват фактора нереалистичност. Хареса ми колко мила и нежна беше Блейкли и колко сляпо вярваше на Даниел. Той от своя страна въпреки, че беше могъщ бизнесмен, зло и безпардонно копеле, видяхме и грижовната му страна, във всичко, което правеше за своята жена. Видяхме тревогата и страха му, че някой се опитва да ги раздели, и отчаянието му само при мисълта, че злосторника може да успее.
Разбира се за тези странички нямаше кой знае колко случки и ситуации, и все пак, четейки това, се почувствах така, сякаш гледам последните епизоди на сериал . Не си свидетел на станалото в началото, но преразказа за "предходните епизод" е достатъчно изчерпателен и позволява да се насладиш пълноценно на щастливия край.

I love books where the main couple is already married and even though I’m the Grinch the Christmas theme was really sweet. Daniel Black has been happily married to his wife Blakely for a few years. When Blakely was little her fun, carefree mother died and she went to live with the father she never knew about and her stepmother Linda. She went from a fun loving home to one with lots of structure and rules. It didn’t take long for her to figure out she was the product of an affair and Linda seemed to blame her. She had no idea that her father was indebted to Daniel and had offered her up as payment. Daniel was rich but he was also the kind of person that was honest and told it like it was and didn’t care if you liked him or not. Her parents never approved of him but Blakely was always trying to get everyone to get along and be one big happy family. Daniel is very protective and possessive of Blakely and when his lawyer tells him their marriage license has disappeared he becomes even more possessive. He wants to marry her that day afraid someone will take her away from him. But he can never say no to her so when she asks for a month to plan the wedding they didn’t get the first time he compromises and gives her a week. In that time she finds out how horrible her father and Linda really are and that Daniel has been protecting her from knowing the truth. She soon realizes the only family she needs is Daniel and the children they will soon have.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
For some reason, I usually don't like books that start with the couple already married. But Christmas Vows is the exception to that standard because I loved it (even more than Wrapped In My Wife, AR’s other book featuring a married couple). The way that the book opens with Blakely explaining why Daniel is so special to her (and her to him) and how precious their relationship made this a book I couldn't put down. I also really enjoyed the tension and angst created by the villains in the story (no spoilers). I do wish that Alexa Riley had expounded on the background with that a bit more, but I can get past that. The epilogue was one of my favorites from them! The past few releases from the writing dup has really reminded as to why they are among my faves! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

Oh Holy Night!!! My Prayers are Answered with this Obsessive Hawt Alpha Male and his Sassy Sweet innocent young "wife". I love how AR manages to always write about an insanely phenomenal and devoted hero and his fantastic heroine. Daniel is so in love with his wife Blakely , he is just pretty much obsessed over her. He would do anything , i mean ANYTHING for his "dream girl". When it comes out that their marriage is not real, Daniel bust a move to make their Fake Marriage a reality. Only certain people in the background try to prevent that- will Blakely fall for the lies or will her own obsession with her "hubby" prevail and make sure that they get the HEA they so richly deserve. This story is an example of how on point the steam, passion and romance AR got everything. From the characters to the plot to the backdrop , Christmas Vows is perfect.

Bleh what a weird story.

In order to get rid of my book slump, I went with my guts and read an AR novella. This was my second attempt and thank God I've finished this one. Probably because it's such a short novella (50-something pages). But to my surprise, this wasn't the usual AR-OTT smut. More like family-themed trope. Although;
"... and I smile as I tongue her clit. I spell out her name with my tongue and then mine after it."
Halfway through, I slightly got bored. But I told myself I had to fight off my reader's block, I need to move past this as I have so many TBRs. Thank fuck my heart listened to my head.
So this story...
As usual, H is obsessive. h is crazyin love. Both were married but they discovered they weren't legally married coz' someone sabotaged their marriage license. And the rest of the story fell flat.
Debated myself to give it a 2 or 3 star, but who am I kidding? I didn't skim it, I didn't enjoy it either.

This Christmas Story was absolutely everything! I am one hundred percent in Love with Daniel and Blakley. I loved everything about them and their story! It was so sexy and unique. I can't get enough of these characters! I wish we had more books about them! Thy are defiantly one of my Favorite Alexa Riley couples! Daniel is so in love with Blakley! He wants her plain and simple. He does everything in his power to make her happy even if he doesn't like it! Blakley tries so hard to fit into the world she lives in. The only thing she has ever really done for herself is fall in love with Daniel and no matter what she will always love him. This book was everything and I Highly recommend this one! It is my Favorite Christmas read by Alexa Riley and I will defiantly read this one all year round!! I am absolutely in love with this book!
