I have read thousands of books in my lifetime — probably even hundreds of thousands. I think this is the best thriller adventure I have ever read. Tight, fast, heart thumping action!

What a great read!
Tracy Cooper-Posey has a way of grabbing your attention from the first few lines and holding it. I was completely emersed in the story line and characters, following Quinn into a thrilling new world of intrigue and adventure. I took every step with her in an adventure that put her into some harrowing situations, watching with fascination at her ability to maintain her composure in meeting each thrilling challenge.
Personally this is what I’ve come to expect from this author and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Quinn and the trouble she will likely find herself in.
I highly recommend this book, but beware, you’re likely to become a TCP addict like me!

Quinn Sawyer and her boyfriend, Denis Fabian, were living their best life together. Both worked at satisfying jobs at the Boston Symphony and Conservatory, he a visiting professor from Austria and she the music librarian. Out for relaxing, romantic evening at a local jazz club they had just decided to return to their apartment for an intimate ending to the night when the club was bombed and Denis was killed. Quinn, responsible for funeral arrangements, hosts the memorial service and at the reception at their apartment meets the mysterious Elijah Aslan, a friend of Denis’ from Austria. He is kind and comforting in their shared grief over Denis’ death.

Days later she is approached by the CIA, it seems that friends of hers and Denis' had actually been undercover agents watching Denis because of his connection with this Aslan. Their team leader, a woman named Dima, wants Quinn to be open to forming a friendship with Aslan and reporting what she learns about him and his business dealings to them. He is the key lead in the CIA’s search for a deadly terrorist known only as “The Kobra.” Quinn reluctantly agrees with the goal of discovering who was responsible for Denis’ death but she really never expects to see Aslan again.

However, Aslan does contact her again and, at that seemingly chance encounter, Quinn is shot in the abdomen by a sniper. Aslan and his staff whisk her away onto a private jet where she receives medical treatment, and off to recuperate at Aslan’s palatial private home in Innsbruck. There she slowly becomes drawn in to Aslan’s world and the lives of his employees: the beautiful and deadly Toni - Aslan’s right hand, the exuberant Giant’s fan, Mitchell, and the solitary and somber Noah. As she uncovers their deadly secrets, they begin to unravel hers as well.

What a great story! Hunting the Kobra, the first in a new romantic suspense series, Project Kobra, by Tracy Cooper-Posey, has so many layers and so much action and emotion going on. And the settings that include Innsbruck and Vienna are wonderfully detailed and entertaining without being tedious. One of the best books I've read so far this year!

I recommend this book without reservation to readers that like romantic suspense stories.

I read and review many books, like Hunting the Kobra, written by writers who have never walked the walk, but want to talk the talk like they had walked the walk. Some of them, the ones who have done their homework and get it all right, love my reviews, while many of them, the ones who haven’t done their homework and get it wrong, hate my reviews. Well, I confess that I can be hard on author’s who try to write books like Hunting the Kobra, because I spent my adult life working for one of those alphabet soup agencies and have walked the walk that these writers try to have their characters walk, and I find many of their attempts hilarious, and my reviews of their books reflect that.

Tracy Cooper-Posey may never have walked the walk, but she has done her homework and writes like she had walked the walk in real life. She gets it all right in Hunting the Kobra. The temporary suspension of disbelief was never an issue for me with Hunting the Kobra. Her characters were so lifelike that they reminded me of people I knew back in the day. They were all characters that I could easily identify with and relate to. The plot is so realistic that it might have been taken from tomorrow’s headlines.

If you are an adrenaline jockey that thrives on espionage thrillers in which the author keeps it real, you’ll love Hunting the Kobra, book 1. This is an adrenaline fueled, action-packed thriller, from the first page to the last page. It's a page turner that will keep you burning through the pages to find out what is going to happen next. A tale with an ending that will blow your mind, well, it will if you have never been there and done that.

Five stars doesn’t do Tracy Cooper-Posey and her Hunting the Kobra justice.

Tracy Cooper-Posey did it against with her new book “Hunting the Kobra” the first book in her new series Project Kobra. From the very beginning I was drawn in especially with curiosity with what did Dima saw in the image on the computer. Especially after her son fixed the computer after a virus. From then on I was hooked. Tracy Cooper-Posey brought such emotion into this book. For such a tragedy happened. Quinn and Denis was at a Jazz club when a bomb went off when they where leaving to go home. Quinn woke up in the hospital wanting to know what happened and where Denis was. Denis was killed. Quinn wants answers after learning from a man who knew Denis when he said that according to the news the bomb was made in Afghanistan. She wants answers of why this happened. And why the Government was not saying terrorists. Then on I could not stop reading to find out who this man was and what was happening. The man who knew Denis is Elijah Aslan. The next day a friend of Quinn, Leela, takes her to get answers. That’s when I learned Dima works for the CIA and more about Denis being from Austria. Plus we learned more about that bomb that went off at the Jazz club. Dima told Quinn a little about what is going on, about the Russians and the Kobra, in other words there mission. Along with the belief that Elijah is connected to the Kobra. To learn what happens next and what happens with Elijah and Quinn I believe as a reader you should find out yourself. I highly recommend this book for I was drawn in from the very beginning.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.

This was first published on my blog " Lecture toute une Aventure"

This is my favourite book from this author so far, really it's not good it's excellent! If you love thriller or romance suspense with a deep intrigue you must try this one. It's captivating and if you are very intuitive you could guess some elements but the author is talented to make you doubt it until the last second.

The characters are well built and have some deep scars even if those are not physical. Quinn loves music as much as her partner Denis....When he dies in a bombing she left alone with a lot of questions, she wants answers and justice but doesn't realize it until a old acquaintance of Denis, Aslan comes for answer as well...
However Aslan may be a international businessman....but for the CIA he could be much more and they want Quinn helps before she can decide what she is willing to do for answer she is trust in a world where any mistake could be fatal and she must find a strength she had forgotten.

Really this book was a page turner and a pure pleasure, it's a first book so we don't get all the answers yet but we discover really great characters and the ending is simply perfect to make us wait for more.

A fantastic book!

Super Suspense in this Fabulous Story!!

When a building collapse kills her boyfriend Quinn is thrown into a world she did not know existed. A mysterious man from her boyfriend’s past comes to pay respects and the CIA gets involved. When Quinn is targeted it becomes apparent that events were not accidental. Recovering in Austria she is surrounded by people she cannot trust;

Quinn recalled the empathetic and gentle man who had sat on Denis’s desk and given her the only comfort anyone had provided, yesterday. In twenty minutes, Aslan had propped her up and handed her a way to cope with day. That man was an agent provocateur supplying chemical weapons to America’s enemies?

Quinn must become a different person to survive her change in circumstance. A brilliant presentation of each character, revelation of their background and the ultimate resolution which will keep you guessing to the very end!! Amazing read!!

My first exposure to this author and I'm in love with her writing This book is suspenseful and exciting. The characters are so unique! Yet none of them are who they appear to be. Everyone has a fake identity, which makes the entire story so gripping. You never know how individuals are going to react to changing circumstances. Almost the entire story centers around the search by Quinn Sawyer to find the answer to who killed her fiancé and why! She is dragged into a situation where the CIA coaxes her to work with them to find the identity and whereabouts of the Kobra. She is taken to Austria "for her own protection" by a man who claims to have loved her fiancé Denis when he lived in Austria. But Quinn finds herself involved in a criminal activity that makes her literally sick. How she copes and eventually escapes is a story of intrigue, violence and romance. You will be surprised how this all turns out. I sure was!

An exciting beginning to a new series! With a powerful introduction, we are rapidly reminded that we are entering a world full of action and surprises but also of violence and loss.
Quinn is the heroine of the story, she is a simple girl working as a music librarian and living with her music teacher boyfriend until he gets killed in a jazz club bombing. But that is just the beginning of a thrilling story that takes us to Europe and into the hearth of the search for a dangerous criminal, Kobra.
The author weaves a story full of intrigue and twists that keep you wondering what is going on because really no one is who they say they are and nothing is what it seems.
A really great start to a new thriller that leaves you asking when can I read the next one!

I'm addicted. I want more.

I am a Tracy Cooper-Posey fan. I read just about anything she writes because I can ALWAYS count on a story well told. This was no different. I love this new series and I am hooked. Action-adventure, romance, intrigue this story has it all. I loved the cover, and the story delivered on that promise in the image. It can be disappointing when a cover that really grabs me fails to give me a story to match. Getting the story and cover to mesh does not always happen with books, so love it when the two compliment each other. Prepare to get addicted.

I volunteered to read an ARC copy, and this is my honest opinion. So happy I found this author. I love the fact she puts out so many books and has a great backlist of books for me to catch up on. I am a voracious reader so this author makes me a happy reader.

I liked the opening with Dima asking her son to fix her computer because she is not up to it... Little does her son know about his mother. A suspenseful read with all the characters having secrets and being something other than they seem to be. Quinn becomes immersed in a world of wealth and criminal activity after the death of her boyfriend, Denis. She loves Vienna despite being there under dubious and dangerous circumstances. The charming Elijah Aslan usually gets what he wants but often at a high cost. The characters are constantly putting their lives at risk for what they believe. A thrilling story with lots of action and intrigue. I enjoyed it very much and Tracy Cooper-Posey delivers a great plot.

Book 1..... a really great page turner

Excitement, danger, thrills, fear, enjoyment, courage, enticement, strife, love, hatred, and death are all alive in the pages of determination and wherewithal. When you lose the love of your life you tend to change as a person during your time of grief. We tend to absolve our lives and become different. Different in our actions, our beliefs, and even more so ourselves. Quinn is this new person, to hopefully get the answers to questions of why. Why anything and everything changed the way it did. The day she made that choice is when everything she once knew was gone. Her truths became a lie, her love was laced with deceit, her courage became her greatest fear. That is when her new life begins.

I loved Hunting The Kobra! So many unexpected twists and turns kept me guessing until the end. Who’s good? Who’s bad? Whom can you trust? Even though I went into this with a cocky I-always-figure-out-the-ending attitude (I kick ass at Clue), there were several happenings I did not see coming. This romantic suspense has it all: mystery, intrigue, action, espionage AND a heroine that isn’t too stupid to live.
Though the book didn’t end on a cliffhanger there were enough fascinating loose ends to make the reader anticipate the next book in the series... and the next... and the next... you get the idea.

Not giving spoilers as to the plot, because you really need to read this romantic suspense thriller going in blind. This book is well written, full of surprises, tension, drama, blood and action. There is a teeny amount of romance that is pretty much 'behind closed doors'. The way the author did that was disappointing for me, as I didn't feel any connection much between the H/h - sadly. If the romance had been expanded, this would have been a 5 star read for me. The suspense and story was definitely 5 stars though. This is the first in a series and can be read as a stand alone. The back story is still burning however and will be ongoing I assume.

My favourite thriller author is at it again with another addictive page turner that will have you eagerly obsessed with the widely varying character and an equally captivating storyline.

The suspense, action, thriller, chemistry between the characters will leave you wanting for more as the tale unravels. Its quite a handful as at times you will despair with the characters as the twists, turns and revelations will be mind boggling from start to finish.

Cant wait for the next book in the series.

OK! It is a surprise to me that I enjoyed the story. At first I didn't find it all that good. It was not that exciting or interesting. Then about three quarters into the story it started to get more of and interest to me. The last quarter of it was very exciting and like a spy thriller. I liked the ending the most. I liked the way Quinn thought through the parts of the story and figured things out also. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

an excellent read. One plat after another and no one seems to know what the truth. Quinn gets involved with the CIA after nearly dying in an explosion that kills her lover Denis. Quinn then meets Aslan, a rich person who has interests worldwide due to his expertise in chemistry. After being wounded Aslan takes Quinn to Vienna where Quinn tries to find out about the Kobra but she must constantly look over her shoulder even within the people she is now living with. Nothing appears to be like it really is. Plenty of action and deceit . Well worth reading.

If you like John LeCarre, Lee Childs and John Grisham, you will absolutely love this book. It is a suspense espionage thriller with a bit of romance thrown into the mix. It far surpassed my highest expectations.
I had forgotten just how much I love this genre until reading Hunting The Kobra. The twists. The turns. Everything and everyone is just not what they seem to be. I cannot wait for the next book to see what surprises Tracy has in store for us.

A thriller, but not a standard thriller

I don't often read straight up spy thrillers. I usually need some other elements, paranormal, fantasy or a historical angle. John le Carré and Robert Ludlum's Bourne series have been the only real exceptions. Now, Tracy Cooper- Posey has changed that. Her depth of characterization, attention to setting and ability to weave a believable love story into the mix have made The Kobra Project series a favorite.

It’s been a while since I read a suspense romance. Ms Tracy has reminded me the exhilarating feeling one gets from a good thriller. Twists and turns all around, a misterious death, deception, love and great action. The characters are very well defined and all likeable even Elijah. This book is a great starter for the series.

This is an action packed thriller that is so suspencful that it will keep you on your toes. The world building and character development is fantastic. There are so many scars in this book physical and emotional.
This is thrilling read!

Wow, I felt a visceral response to the ratcheting tension

I know Tracy writes great books. I just found myself hesitant to jump to this genre with her. I should have trusted her writing. I had intense difficulties putting down my reader to get on with my life. The characters and storyline kept intruding into my thinking. I know this will be another series I keep rereading.

I thought overall that this was an okay if undemanding read. Pace was fair, narrative was engaging. A bit more romance than I was expecting, with more intrigue than action.
