Is it a fluffy toy or an imaginary friend?

Only the kid knows!

But I so love these two characters!

The illustrations are just heartchasing. And yes, I would love to have this dragon too.

I Love My Dragon is for everyone, young and young at heart, who love dragons.

I Love My Dragon depicts a small boy’s adventures and the dragon who goes everywhere with him. They go to the beach, read books and play with their new sibling together and more.

I Love My Dragon has lots of vivid illustrations that highlight a basic-reader based plot. Perfect for new readers who are more interested in pictures and just learning words.

I received this ARC copy of I Love My Dragon from Flashlight Press - Independent Publishers Group. This is my honest and voluntary review. I Love My Dragon is set for publication August 1, 2019.

I Love My Dragon
Howard McWilliam (Illustrated by), Jodi Moore

Perfect for dragon lovers of all ages! Illustrations are delightful and evident joy. I adored this ode to love of dragons!

My five year old required multiple readings and read it to me as well. My special needs guy loved the images, studying the brightly colored dragon

I received an ARC from Flashlight Press in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

The story line and pictures are so breathtakingly brilliant that I could not stop reading this book. Dragons tend to be very popular with our younger audience at our library. The characters are drawn so attractively that our readers will be more drawn to the cartoon like illustrations and the color scheme used in this book. The reason that I loved this book so much however, is the love and loyalty the boy had with his dragon and the fact that in this book, dragons are considered pets.

We will consider adding this book to our Picture Book collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

This tale of a very special relationship touches the heart and lets imagination have free flight in a simple yet fun way.

The dragon has been this boy's friend since the day he was born. Every moment, the dragon is by his side and definitely gains best friend status. At the beach, the pool and even in the snow, the dragon is always there.

Friendship rings loud and clear in these pages, and a very special kind. Perhaps, the dragon is real, but there's enough to reason to think it might be an imaginary friend. Either way, it doesn't matter. The dragon means the world to the boy and visa-versa. It's inspiring and shows what real love and friendship really is, even if it's with something as wonderful as a dragon. The addition of the little brother adds a nice, family warmth. In other words, this is a wholesome read which leaves young listeners feeling loved, while inviting them to dream away.

The illustrations and book are perfect for the intended age group. While simple, they still bring across the situations and emotions very nicely. It's hard not to wish the dragon were real and give it a huge hug. This is a book young listeners are sure to enjoy, and especially those with an extra love for dragons.

I received an complimentary, early copy and found this tale so sweet and fun that I wanted to leave my honest thoughts.

This board book is fun, entertaining, and sweet all wrapped into one! Amidst the oh-so-entertaining dragon adventures, there’s comedy for adults, too. Also, You can’t get a better story that hits on everything you’d love your child to know about growing up from friendship to caring for siblings. Another super cool feature of this book is that if your kids already love When a Dragon Moves In and When a Dragon Moves in Again, they will LOVE sharing this board book with a younger sibling and laughing at the references to the books they already know and love.

Super cute early reader book. I love that the dragon is subtly in the background when the family is present, but bold when others are absent. Beautifully done book and super cute. I love dragons 🐉

Perfect for ages 1-4 in board book or picture book form. The illustrations are excellent, and this serves as a great short supplement book for a storytime about dragons or even friendship.
