This is the third book in the Vale Valley series.

Tapping out at 51%. I really hate to leave bad reviews. And I'm not going to rate this since I did continue to read it when I should have stopped early on. When I have to read and reread and reread again sentences and passages to understand what is going on, it's time to quit.

This was one of the most disjointed books I've ever read. I should have stopped when one of the mc's has a near death experience but it took me a while to realize it was happening in the midst of all the flowery adjectives. Then immediately after, one mc gave the other a blow job but again, it took me forever to figure out that was what was happening. There's a few authors like Harper Fox, Roan Parrish and Rhys Ford who can do flowery and you still know what is going on. Not here. It's like the words were just popped in to give word count.

Things continue to happen and I'm still left scratching my head as to how they got from point A to point B.

I honestly cannot recommend this book in it's current state. It needs work. I'm all about trying new authors and I may give this author another try at some point, but this book is just not ready to be read.

Despite the fact that I found this book's story to be a bit confusing at times I loved it. The 3 MCs were quite likable, especially Tommy. This author's take on "Vale Valley" was definitely a bit different than the others, which did make it feel just a tiny bit off, yet in all worked beautifully in the end. Over all this was an excellent Christmas read!

This was book 3 in the "Vale Valley" I really wanted to like this book. Alphas Ozzie and Aidrick have been through a lot to have a baby they have tried surrogates and none of them worked out when they get a flier about the Valley they leave everything behind. Ozzie has a dream about a man they find when they climb a mountain so when they get to the Valley they do. Here is where this book became really confusing for me. Tommy is an omega he goes into heat almost immediately when the guys bring him home he also has no memory of where he came from. On a quest to find answers the book goes left and I am not even sure anything was answered. In this book we did meet Rosemary's sister Ermaline who is a switch that was at the heart of their problems. While I didn't like this book I do like this series and I hope the next book is better.

I, too, wasn't able to get into this story and am marking it a DNF for me.

The writing was very purpley and the overall story was just all over the place. It started out pretty clear - Ozzie and Aidrick are looking for a completely fresh start after attempts at finding a surrogate don't go anywhere, and they decide on Vale Valley. But then they find roses and Tommy and they have no clue what's going on, and that's where the story started to lose me.

Huh?

I don’t completely understand what I read, which doesn’t surprise me. Shaw sometimes writes stories that go right over my head. I understood what I read but it made no sense to me. I did like the sheriff and entire Vale family. I don’t like how it was perfectly fine for Aldrick to push Ozzie and be forgiven in a split second.

I was so disappointed with this book. It was so confusing that I had to re-read two chapters to make sure I wasn't going crazy but I was, going crazy, then preceded to finish this crazy book because I didn't want to DNF but maybe I should have.

Komolyan kezdek kiábrándulni ebből a sorozatból.

I did like the characters and it was sweet to a point. Mostly it was really confusing and I had to go back and make sure I wasn’t sleep deprived. Nope it did get really weird. Random orb that was a vibrator, that allowed babies and then a seed. An omega suddenly pregnant and then giving birth directly after some sort of magical suicide attempt. My head hurt. I’m gonna give this series a break for now.

I almost made it to the end, but oh my gosh it was hard. I feel like I was reading an early-almost-sortof-book-idea that was accidentally released as a finished work. I join the other reviewers who were confused and so very lost. There's good stuff here, but it's way too early for public consumption.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of alphas Ozzie and Aidrick. They were mated and wanted to have a family. After their surrogate fell through again, they decided to move to Vale Valley and try to start over. Ozzie had a dream of climbing a mountain and seeing three roses blooming in the snow and a man needing rescuing. When they arrives in Vale Valley, Ozzie and Aidrick climbed the mountain and found the roses and omega Tommy. Tommy had no idea how he got there or where he was from. Ozzie and Aidrick take Tommy home and all of them try to find out where Tommy was from. The three men have a bond and together they may find their dreams coming true. This was a book i found a little hard to follow. I felt the back story between Ozzie and Aidrick was a little confusing. I understand their surrogate fell through but what happened. I liked the fairy tale and the Christmas miracle elements.

It took a while to understand the plotline

So I usually don't take away stars for how the story plot goes. But it took almost to the end to make heads or tails of what was going on. And even then I was still confused. Then there was the editing, I'm sorry I usually ignore an error here or there but this time it made an already difficult plot more difficult to follow.

Character breakdown;

Ozzie: I liked that he was the optimist, I wished I had a better understanding about his feelings of the past and how he felt etc.

Aidrick: weird name but putting that aside, the man was irritating sometimes with his self doubt one minute than passion the next. The man was a confusion all around.

Tommy: this omega was an enigma I still can't figure out. Needless to say I have more questions about him.

The ending was a bit confusing so I suggest rereading everything. The timeline effed me up though. And many questions remained. I'm not sure how to feel about this book.

I feel bad because I couldn't quite wrap my head around where the author was going with this... :(

Confused is the word best to describe my experience while reading this story, although it has a damn fine ending... was worth hanging in till the end just for the last few pages!

Overlooking the missing words, duplicate phrases and totally disjointed thoughts from time to time... I will admit to quite a few "shake my head" moments and WTF exclamations as I made my way through this story... *headdesk*

I will be honest, there were times that I wanted to get a piece of paper and pencil to keep track of who was where and who was saying what... yeah, it got that confusing... grrr

But, in the end there were babies, so? I will call this one my "confusing" Christmas story and move on! ;p

Thought of the day:
Proofreading is a wonderful thing... just sayin'!

I just finished this book and I’m not sure what I read. This book was confusing and weird in a really negative way. I think the author was trying to be mystical and lyrical, but it came off as a hot mess with random nonsensical scenes. I advise any reader to skip this book and not let it ruin the Vale Valley series for you.

Overall Rating: 0 Stars - Skip this one and spend time enjoying the other great Vale Valley books.

For the sake of completeness, I tried this story despite the bad reviews. Language and punctuation were awkward, there were homophone and apostrophe errors, and the narrative was disjointed and out of sequence.

I have to say that all the times I have read series and authors say can be read as a stand alone I still felt like reading it as a series was the most enjoyable way to read each series. This series does not follow that thread. I have to say that the only way to read this series is to treat each story as a stand alone. While there are names of characters that are included in each book the stories have no common feel. I would suggest readers consider this series as a lot of alternate realities that all take place in the same town. Maybe because each story is written by different authors there is no way to have them flow together. Each book seems to take place right around Christmas but unless each Christmas is a different year things happen in each book that mean nothing in other books. When read as just a single story they are not to bad but read as a series they do not flow well. This was the most disjointed of the ones I have read so far but when read as a single story it was not so bad.

Terrible. Just terrible. I finished it. Not sure why. I think I did just to see if the author could make any sense out of this in the end.
It reads like a plot bunny. Something not even vaguely fleshed out, a series of jumbled scenes and thoughts. Basically two alphas are a couple and they want a kid. Through surrogacy. But it never works out. They don't really get into why, or how adoption I guess is not an option. So they go to Vale Valley to start over but weird sh&t keeps happening. Then an omega lands in their lap and its like yay sex! No I gotta be all mad and crap for no reason so I'm gonna scare the omega! Rawrr! Then other weird characters show up, they scale a mountain? Like twice. And then there's a dream sequence? Or was that real? I don't know. And then there were the typos and characters calling each other the wrong names... I so hate that. Not even sure if its worth it to continue the series.

Alice Shaw managed to pack a big punch in a few chapters. The story begins with a couple who are disheartened by the city and looking to move for various reasons. The foremost is to abandon the area where they experience the most loss. It is a deep loss that threatens to change them individually, but not their love for each other.

There is mystery and some danger in the magical place of Vale Valley. Things get complicated and a little scary. I was immediately reminded of Grimm's collection of fairy tales. There is a perilous journey and some soul-searching which made me tear up. The choices were just, wow. Oh, but the love was so beautiful.

Kudos to the author for a poignant and truly lovely Christmas tale. And yes, there is a well-deserved HEA.

I don’t want to say I don’t like the book, it was ok, but it was a bit odd and also kinda confusing. I feel like it didn’t really match up with the 1st 2 books in the series and this story also seemed a kinda fast and I didn’t really feel any real emotion between the characters, or at least not Ozzie and Aidrick having emotion with Tommy. In my opinion I felt like Tommy wasn’t even really that much a part of the relationship, he was just sort of there, like he was a way to give the alphas a child and nothing more. I don’t know, something about this book threw me off, but I guess I would still say you should read it since it is part of the series but you don’t necessarily need to read this book in order to move on to the next.

This was an amazing book, omg so much magic. This is a part of the Vale Valley series, which is which is a town but there are many different authors with stories that happen in the magical town. This is book 3 and it is brilliant. I am definitely going to be reading all the others written for Vale Valley.
Go out and grab this now, you will love it. I can't rant enough on how good this is, but I you just have to experience it yourselves.

This book was weird and wild.

It really had a different vibe to it. I felt like I never knew where the story was going. From Aidrick and Ozzie's first trip up Onyx Mountain and them finding Tommy to their run in with Ermalina to their chaotic run through town with Sheriff Vale, this book was non-stop. But it was also somewhat confusing. I figured if I stuck with it, things would become clear. They kind of were but I wasn't totally satisfied. We did get a really sweet ending though, which was great.

This book had so much potential. The beginning chapters where we meet Ozzie and Aidrick were very good, which is why I gave it 2 stars. Then they get to Vale Valley and it goes all screwy and confusing. I enjoyed all the characters but the plot line was disjointed and slightly unbelievable even for a story with magic. Who gets pregnant and has a baby in a day? I finished it hoping it would make sense in the end. Nope. It did have a HEA which is good, but as this is the first book Ive read by this author I’m not sure I would read any more if this is typical of her writing.

I am kinda mixed in my review. I one way I really liked the story, but other times I was confused. I was ok til they went to Rosemary's house and interacted with Ermaline. I loved that it wasn't just a basic gratuitous sex book and I understood the magic of love and Tommy not know who he was. But then it jumped around going back up the mountain. One minute Timmy thinks he's pregnant, the next he sacrifices himself... I like how the ending came together. Was just a lot of lose ends. I guess that's where the magic of believing comes in.

This book was well written, however, the darkness that fell over Vale Valley confused me a bit since I've only read about the town being pleasant and magical for shifters and humans alike. There was quite a bit of mystery that followed the three main characters, but by the end everybody was happy, (even if I remained confused) which is what really matters to me. I do love this series written by multiple authors.

Wow that was..bad

I don't really know where to start with how bad this truly was. It was a disjointed mess that made no sense and was extremely difficult to follow. It felt like it was written by a 5th grader and the back and forth with miss information or contradiction of things that have already happened. I've read the first 2 books in this "multiple author series" but this book makes me wonder if the authors have read the other books because it didn't work.

I am in love with this series and this story. Each couple in the collection by the various authors are unique and special to the bubbly town of Vale Valley with its shifters and families. The magic draws them in and makes happiness come through.

Interesting read...

Three Roses by Alice Shaw is the third book in the Vale Valley series. It is a magical, mysterious and intriguing story of a trouple finding love and searching for answers. Its entertaining and adds more layers to the wonderful Vale Valley. I definitely recommend.

Hmm...

Ok so I don't know what to think about this book, it feels like different people wrote a single chapter each without conferring each other, and we end up with a jumbled mess. Compared to the other books in this series, this one wasn't cohesive to how the story world was built. A little more thought out and it could be a good book...

It was good but...

An... intersting read. I could understand the story as a whole, but it seemed rushed and a bit confusing at times. Especially when a lot of action was going down. There also seemed to be a lot of metaphor and symbolism that felt forced and not necessarily needed, imo.
That being said, the over all idea was interesting.

I'm just not sure what to think. It all seemed a bit weird. Ozzie and Aidrick are both Alphas and have wanted a baby but unable to have one, even with surrogates. They move to Vale Valley and sh*t gets real and confusing when they find Tommy at the top of a mountain. I cannot find the words to describe how I'm feeling.
