Mari continues to be in love. Arisa continues to be in love, though she doesn’t remember much of it. If you’ve read previous volumes, you’ve read this one.
This is a light bit of easy reading still, albeit one that has beaten its premise down to a pulp at this point. If it wasn’t for a couple bright spots I’d almost consider it redundant.
Most of the story is the usual frolic and escapades. The young women in love are still in love, although some of the shenanigans do feel weirdly contrived at times (you’ll never convince me anybody does housework like that).
Arisa’s amnesia seems to have given her the less assertive personality in the relationship, so the flashbacks we get here of her being far more forward are interesting. Combined with the revelation of how she lost her memory in the first place there’s actually a way better story hiding amidst this one.
There’s another odd tangent about Mari’s high school friends, one of whom gets outed during a get-together because of a previous crush on Mari, and the way they then try and force both of them to kiss has a really strange vibe to it.
Doubly so when the best parts of the story are the mangaka directly interjecting their feelings on marriage being for everybody, regardless of orientation, and their delight that they’ll get to sneak in a wedding volume.
It’s not worth picking on this too much. It’s pleasant and good enough to waste a little time on, but it’s not as deep as it could be nor is it as funny as it should be for how many gags it goes for (the old woman section this volume is admittedly good).
Still, if you need some light lesbian chicanery, this absolutely fits the bill, even if it’s a big ask to pay this much for something that’s slight even by the standards of gag manga. It justifies its existence, but only just.
3 stars - an okay book, means well, just sort of there. Hopefully it’ll be done soon enough because it is wearing a touch thin for me since it has less substance than the paper it’s printed on.
Still a very cute manga but some moments in this volume in particular made me worry for Arisa just due to her seemingly naïve response to others. I like that Mari and Arisa are making a bit of progress and we got to see a potential reason as to why Arisa got her amnesia in the first place. Also, seeing how differently Arisa acted before she lost her memories compared to how she currently acts is extremely interesting to see. Overall, with the couple taking about marriage in this volume I’m eager to read the next volume to see if there is a proper engagement instead of it just being seen in a flashback.

Arisa and Mari are the cutest couple, and I love how the amnesia story is still progressing while we see how they can affirm their love for each other even w/o Arisa's memories 🥹
Also lmao at the bathing suit cleaning to jusitfy Arisa being dumb and buying like 6 pairs of bathing suits. It's interesting to see how Arisa is adjusting to the world (given her mindset is like..... hs senior) in her "older" body and new life with Mari
