Even by Chicken Soup standards, this one’s specific premise of stories for Ocean lovers is pretty thin.
Lots of stories about how seeing a whale changed someone’s life and one story about a black tour guide for a penguin exhibit who was apparently so nice and informed that a very racist South African elderly lady sends him a note telling him that she has just unlearned a lifetime of racism and will talk to black people going forward

Not as good as I expected it to be (I probably had too many expectations for this), but there are a handful of stories that I'm fond of and will stay with me ("Driftwood Queen", "Octopus Garden", and "This Magic Moment" are among my favourite). And just for those stories, I would say this book is something any ocean lover should consider reading. Four stars for the beach feel and sentimental value.

I really enjoyed reading this. It really got me in the mood for summer. Hearing about people who helped sea critters, a dog on a ship alone, learning how powerful the ocean is, and just every side of the salty water and its inhabitants.
