I really enjoyed this book, I really liked all of the poems and how inspirational they were to me. I really liked how they made me truly believe I could make my dreams come true! I truly liked every single poem and all of the people who wrote them! I definitely recommend this to everyone and really can’t think of any recommendations!

I appreciate what this collection's intent was, however, I found it corny.

This book contains a collection of short, inspirational poems by various authors.

Included is a poem by Langston Hughes:

"Hold fast to dreams
for if dreams die,
life is a broken
winged bird that
cannot fly."
(p. 12)

And a message from Socrates:

"I believe that we cannot live better
than in seeking to become
still better than we are."
(p. 36)

I like this one about living in the present by Ida Scott Taylor:

"One day at a time -
this is enough.
Do not look back
and grieve over the past,
for it is gone;
and do not be troubled
about the future,
for it has not yet come.
Live in the present,
and make it so beautiful
that it will be worth
remembering."
(p.47)

"This life is yours
Take the power
to choose what you want to do
and do it well"
-Susan Polis Schutz

Her books are always wonderful to read, not only for the words and thoughts, but for the illustrations as well.
This book was relevant to me especially because of the stage of life I'm in, where I'm thinking about past decisions..."I could have....", "I should have...." "What if I'd done this instead?" "What if I went after my dream now?". It was all there. It made me think of the possibilities of what I might still do to find my dream, and if I want to pursue it, to quit stalling and do it. I will regret it if I don't.

This book was a joy to read. The book is a collection of inspirational poems written by different people. My personal favorite was the one written by Ann Davies. And the drawings in the version I read were splendid. I would have like to see a bit more poems in this book. However, it was very put together and nice. I would recommend reading this book.

2.5 rounded up to 3. This was just okay to me. Not my type of read and that's just a personal preference. It's just a tad too upbeat and poppy. I'm used to either writing or reading about the deep, dark, depressing aspects of life. This honestly felt like fluff.

No creo que haya mucho por decir de este libro. Es muy lindo volver siempre a el cuando te sentís desanimado o que las cosas te abruman.

This little collection of inspiring poems was given to me by my paternal grandparents for my 23rd birthday. I don't recall reading it from cover to cover when I received it, and I didn't do so until many years later (sadly, after both had passed away).

It is a quick read, which is beside the point: this collection is uplifting, inspiring, and there are many poems within it that I revisit regularly, especially when doubts plague my creative endeavors.

Grandpa and Grandma: wherever you are, thanks for this gift!

I have bought this book six or seven times because I keep giving it away. It's such a wonderful reminder of how to believe in yourself and your capabilities. It's the perfect read whenever the world has gotten you down!

A quick read with inspirational poetry and quotations about living your dreams. Not the best collection, by far, but a good gift book or coffee table type item to pull down from time to time.

La simpleza que hay en cada poema es hermosa, me lanza a querer escribir más sobre mis sueños y a volver a poner en prioridad aquellos que he olvidado.
