I think you must be interested to know deeply more about Brazil and then you can start and finish this book, Brazil is a country of young people, as 62% of Brazilians are aged 29 or under. The median age is 31 years. The country has a population of approximately 215 million people, where 49.2% are men and 50.8% are women. I recommended you at first take a look at this article, "https://www.citiesabc.com/city/recife/" if you find it interesting, then start to read this book. This is the way that I regularly do to choose historical book.

I really wanted to read this book but couldn't find the motivation to finish, it is pretty academic.

An interesting book to say the least. I found Emperor Pedro the Second to be the most fascinating personality in the entirety of the book.
