Sophie decides to bring Goose on her class trip to the farm. While all the children are having fun cuddling animals and seeing them wander around, Goose begins to feel left out. He strays and discovers his own friends (and fun) all over the farm, getting into a little mischief without Sophie. When his dear friend locates him, it is time for lunch and a few more activities until the end of the day. A fabulous trip for everyone. Neo liked this story and hopes that his class is able to get to a farm soon, as he loves seeing animals up close. I reminded him not to stray off, as sometimes teachers hand over shovels and pails to chase after animals when students are not listening.
My last Goose book, hopefully I can find the others as well. Maybe in a minilibrary like where I got this one from. In this book Goose and his human Sophie go to the farm! Goose isn't enjoying himself that much (though given how he was hugging that bunny maybe at least a bit enjoyment) until he finds a friend, has a fun time, and more! I loved seeing all that happened at the farm and all the animals that lived there. It was a fun trip! And Sophie and her friends also had tons of fun, seeing all the cute animals, learning all about things (at least I am guessing they did learn a lot as well). I loved Goose wearing wellies btw, haha, that is just not what you expect to see on a goose.
We got this book for Bug at the library, and she really enjoyed it, so when we saw it at the grocery store on sale, we snapped it up. The pictures are very simple, which makes the animals very recognizable to little ones. She also appreciates the animal noises.
She has memorized this one, of course, but still asks us to read it to her on occasion.
Goose visits a farm with Sophie and her class. Goose meets various animals and befriends a goat. The illustrations are alright, not bad, but not amazing. They're not really my style honestly. I like how Goose wears green boots though. I asked the children I read it to if geese wear boots and then asked if we wear boots.
Not a great read aloud. All four adults who read this to my kid were confused about where the sandwiches went because the goose eating them is not in the text. My kid liked the farm animals though so it gets a star for that.
The illustrations reminded me of those done by Byron Barton in his books called Boats, Trucks, and Planes. The pictures are simple and colorful. The book is more about friendship and exploring different animals on the farm. A good book for PreK and K students.
A girl and her goose go on a trip to a farm and the goose feels left out. This story was filled with colorful illustrations and my daughter enjoyed this story a lot. Would recommend.
It’s cute and fun. Goose goes to a farm and starts to feel left out. He meets some other animals that scare him off, but then he meets a goat that seems to like him and from then on he meets more animals that are fun. Goose’s attitude towards the farm turns around just in time for everyone to go home.
