The book Amazing Snakes is a book that tells you all about snakes and what they have to do to live.

The book Amazing Snakes is a description book about snakes and there life. The pictures in the book are really photos of snakes, which make it hard for me to book at the book. The photos are bright and fill the page from top to bottom. It is good to read your students nonfiction books sometimes because student could really get into them. This book would be easy to read out loud to your class. You could use this book in science when are your studying different animals. If your students are really into snakes they could read the book to themselves and find out a ton of facts and hopefully it would make them want to read more books on the topic.

This is another book that all teachers should have in their guided reading library. This is an easy read that many students will be interested in because the photos that accompany the text help to explain the concepts clearly while giving strong facts. This book is not in chapter form and is free flowing with text on one side and the photo on the next. This book is written for students who need some assistance when reading and should be used as a guided reading book at an instructional level. I think that most students are naturally drawn to animals and this would offer another option for reading material. The only aspect that I think is a negative about this book is the length of the book. It would need to be spread across multiple readings for guided reading.

I read this book to my first and second graders and they absolutely loved it! The pictures were vivid and clear and the book included lots of interesting facts. In addition, there was a glossary that explained meanings of words that students may not know. Most importantly, the book was an easy read, so if my students (more so my second graders than my first) wanted to reread it in order to gain clarity on facts they could. Great book to use when teaching nonfiction text features and reading for information.

I thought this book was awesome! I loved the colorful pictures and the fascinating facts. My favorite facts from the book are: Snakes do not chew. Snakes do not blink or have eyelids. Snakes don’t need their parents to survive. Some snakes eat crocodiles. Some snakes are almost as long as a school bus.
