This is such a sweet, fun, and entertaining book. The author quickly drew me into the story and kept me wanting to turn the pages. I adore the characters and was rooting for their happily ever after. It was fun following along on their journey.

One thing I always say about this author is that she does such a great job drawing in the reader immediately with how she writes, and this book does exactly that. I loved Zinnia from the moment she was introduced and wanted nothing but the best for her, and of course that was Reed. They just seemed perfect for one another, and their love just shone through. Their path to that love was fun, and you can’t but love the story. If you love sweet romances, you really need to read this book and author. Both are stunning! I really do highly recommend! I received a complimentary copy of this, and I voluntarily left a review.

Another absolutely hilarious Love Spells romantic drama, these stories are such fun supernatural reads I can’t get enough of them.
Zin and Reed are fantastic characters I love them and Krissy was just hilariously dramatic, I’m looking forward to more Love Spell stories.

Zinnia Franklyn fell in love at 15, then her boyfriend took off for Hollywood 3 years later. Now, as she sat at her workstation decorating and grumbling about werewolf cookies, she heard a familiar voice behind her and froze! Reed Sinhawk, current popular TV star of "Engaged to a Werewolf", stood in the backroom of her bakery. She hadn’t seen him for 12 years, and his teenage features had matured into a gorgeous man! With the TV show on location on Witch Island for the next couple of months, she knew he would be on the island – but never expected him in her bakery! He asked if she would go with him for coffee, so she took her lunch break.
At the coffee shop, someone knocked into her, causing her to fall against a display. Reed was angry when he saw his co-star Krissy Kimble who completely ignored Zinnia and tried to force Reed to practice the love scenes they would be doing that evening. Instead, he told her to get Frank to practice with her, and she left in an angry huff. The barista, Minnie, suggested the two of them go to the hot springs – where clothing was not permitted due to the dye that interfered with healing. Seeing the look in Reed’s eyes, she agreed and they headed off.
As they stripped and ducked under the warm water – Reed still the gentleman who turned his back to give her privacy – Zinnia finally got up the nerve to kiss him. But a woman’s shriek had them jump apart as Krissy berated him for being with someone else in public where the paparazzi could catch them. On cue, a photographer jumped from the bushes and started taking pictures until Reed grabbed the camera and threw it over the cliff. As Krissy protested her innocence, the photographer said she owed him his fee and a new camera. As she stormed off, she fell in the bushes and thrashed around trying to get up.
When Reed went to talk with Krissy about her stunt, she told him she was covered in poison ivy absolutely everywhere. He took her to the healer, but as she loudly complained about all the places she itched, a fan figured she had an STD. When Zinnia came in with a cut on her hand, the other woman told her all about the TV couple who obviously were in love in real life despite their little rash problem. Zinnia, accepting the misinterpreted assumptions of the other woman, knew that she had been played and that Reed did not really care about her. She was furious. How would he ever convince her of his love for her and his desires for their future? Why was she so ready to believe the worst?
This book shares the author’s wonderful humor and emotional responses with the reader. It will grab hold and not let go to the very end! The story line is well paced, and the main characters are likable! I love how the author portrays the way miscommunication can really tangle things up! Grab a copy and enjoy! I have never been disappointed with any of this author’s books – you can always count on an exceptional story!

The Shifter’s First Bite by Deanna Chase takes us to Witch Island. Zinnia Franklyn is working on werewolf cookies for the crew filming Engaged to a Werewolf on the island when Reed Sinhawk walks into the bakery. Zinnia fell in love with Reed with she was a teenager, but she did not hear from him after he left to make it big in Hollywood. Reed is one of the stars of Engaged to a Werewolf and has been supposedly dating his co-star, Krissy Kimble. Zinnia only has to take one look at Reed to verify she still is attracted to him and her love has not faded. Reed has only ever loved one person, and he is determined to win her heart. To get his happily ever after, he will have to deal with Krissy, overzealous reporters, the network and his father. Will Reed’s inner wolf get the bite it desires?
The Shifter’s First Bite is a humorous and steamy story. Deanna Chase has an engaging writing style that draws the reader into her world. Reed is a sexy, handsome man who left Witch Island at eighteen to become an actor. He has succeeded, but love is missing from his life. Zinnia has been in love with Reed since she was a teen. She wrote to him after he left, but Zinnia never received a response to her chatty letters. Now they have a second chance, but there are obstacles in their way. The desire between Reed and Zinnia is palpable. I am surprised the hot springs they enjoyed did not reach the boiling point. Krissy, though, keeps getting in their way. There are some highly entertaining scenes that will have you in stitches (just thinking about it has me chuckling). A person should know to wear underwear when trampling through the woods because you never know what you might fall into. The Shifter’s First Bite does have foul language (unfortunately) and graphic intimate scenes between our main characters. This is a great LOL book. I could not even imagine what way this book was going. Zinnia and Reed are great together. This book covers that young love you never forget. Being reconnected to your high school best friend and find out you both wanted to date back then is awesome. There are some really steamy scenes in this book.
There is also a few a bit of drama from Reeds costar that you are not going to want to miss. She does not want to let go of the money and image she has with Reed and thinks she is getting what she wants by trying to enlist the help of Reeds dad.
Just when you think Zinnia is going to loose her fight things seem to look up. The end is as happy as can be. I am very thankful Reed stayed in the fight for Zinnia. This book took my heart away with so much love.

Deanna Chase never lets me down! Just when I needed a pick me up, she comes out with another fun and entertaining story in the Witch Island Brides series. All of the books so far have grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t release me from their spell until the end. The Shifter’s First Bite is no exception. The characters are well written and fun to get to know. It was nice learning how Zinnia and Reed reconnected after being apart for many years. Adding Krissy to the mix who is Reed’s co-star in a series and the fun times begins. I love to relax and lose myself in these stories along with many others by this amazing author who just captures the right amount of magic in her writing that keeps me entertained and wanting more. If you are looking for a great, entertaining paranormal story that isn’t on the more serious side then this is what you need in your library!

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Witch Island Brides series written by Deanna Chase. This is a great book with a fun story and well developed characters. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put the book down until the end. If you love a paranormal romance with plenty of laugh out loud moments then you need to read this book. I can’t wait to read then next book by this author.

I loved this book. It's funny, it's sweet, it has drama, best of all? It has a HEA. Every time I think Deanna Chase can't do better, she does. One reason I loved this book is because the drama in it is not created by people wanting to kill each other. The drama in this book is created by love and by two fathers who are overbearing at best and who want their children to be together to form some kind of super family. Unfortunately, those (adult) children don't want to be with each other. They're both in love with other people. It's a tale as old as time, but with new twists.

I throughly enjoyed this book! The humor in the story kept me chuckling and gives new meaning to karma bitting you in the butt! Meet Zinnia and Reed who have a past which helps with the future. Enter a costar for Reed with a secret and watch what happens to her. Will her secret come out , yup with a twist!
Watch as love with become reacquainted with two people and have a happy but interesting ending!

I have been provided with a copy of The Shifter’s First Bite by the author for an impartial review. This is the third book in the Witch Island Brides series and I just absolutely love this series. They have just been so easy to get into and the stories just make you not want to put them down until you turn the last page. I just loved getting to meet Zinnia Franklyn and Reed Sinhawk. This was such a quick and easy read and I immediately wanted more. It was just so funny I just couldn’t stop laughing. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Baker Zinnia and actor Reed were friends before Reed left for Hollywood and became famous. When Reed’s tv show goes on location in the town where Zinnia lives, they are happy to reconnect. Both had been interested in more than friendship when they were younger so maybe now was their chance. Unfortunately, a jealous costar and an ambitious parent are standing in their way. The Shifter’s First Bite is a funny paranormal rom com. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, low angst read.

Loved this book. It was great how you knew that Zinnia was a witch and that Reed was a shifter, but that really did not take over the story. I also really enjoyed how they had some communication issues, but they dealt with them and didn't throw their relationship away because of it. I always get frustrated with couples who decide to give up on the relationship instead of talking. Loved this story.

This series has been so much your fun to read. The stories have been laugh out loud funny and this newest one is just as good as the previous. Zinnia is the baker on Witch's Island and she's up to her elbows in werewolf cookies when her high school crush walks in and blows her world off it's axis. This is a quick read full of fun and even a little sexy time. This story will leave you wanting another helping of werewolf cookies but only if they come with a return trip to Witch's Island.

Upon reuniting all their past emotions, new entanglements, new secrets and unwanted political schemes are definitely causing a ruckus. I really enjoyed this book.

A popular show has come to film on Witch Island. The star just happens to be the love of Zinnia’s life. She was close with Reed while he was on the island. Reed left the island three years after being on the island but never forgot Zinnia. It was interesting watching the two try to reconnect with the paparazzi, Reed’s co-star and their father’s throwing obstacles in their way. Nice story of the two finally finding their way!

Loving this series. Zin and Reed are such a fun couple and the love they have for each other. The co star and his father are making things hard for Reed. But Reed is determined to make Zin his. Read or listen to the book to find out what all happens. If is a fun and a laugh out loud little short read or listen to. Wish there were more in this series.
