The secret gathering
I great catch up story. Definitely a filler, about some important character information for the series. Unlike other filler book the amazing thing about this book (book 11.5), is even though my antisipition of book 12 was sky high already, now it is blown through the stratosphere.
Unlike the other Kings of Guardians books that when it is not completely necessary to read other book to enjoy them, in this book it is a requirement. As many of the characters in this book will not have the same meaning to readers as fans who have read the whole series.
This is not an action oriented book. This is a rare time 95% of Kings, their extended family and significant others have a chance to be together. So leave it to the "wildchild" of the family of wild alphas to forward their own agenda, and pull the majority of the family into it.
I have always loved the character development in this series. One of my pet peeves of other series (Spider-man) is when writers seem to forget or disregard what happen before. It is like the characters is in an ageless bubble and learned nothing from their past experiences. So I love the fact how these characters have matured and yes even ages to me it makes the seem even more real and relatable. Now PLEASE bring on book 12!!!

As a diehard fan of the Kings Of Guardian series, this Christmas novella was like waking up early on Christmas morning and catching Santa delivering the presents. Christmas with the Kings gives us a chance to catch up with all our favourite characters and remind us why we fell in love with them. This story was sweet, witty and filled with plenty of holiday spirit and not to mention overflowing with so much love and warmth.

Just to re-iterate the author's warning - if you haven't read the Kings of Guardian series and the first 2 Guardian Security Shadow World books - you will be overwhelmed and totally lost. This story contains 28 members of the King/Marshall family, 6 in Gabriel's, the rest of the original Alpha team and significant others (another 5 characters), and 2 shadow operatives and their families - the majority have active rolls while a few are just mentioned. If you haven't read any of the books, grab "JACOB" and prepare to become hooked.
This is a fantastic story centered on family.. All of the King family is given enough page time to showcase their love and understanding of each other (I truly love how they all keep a secret). For those who have followed this extended family through the many books, you will know what is gong to happen as soon as you read the first chapter , so get comfortable and warn everyone that you are unavailable for the next couple of hours. It has everything for a perfect family get together - laughs, crying, teasing, heartfelt conversations, KIDS!, fun, and hugs (watch out for Superman's hugs). Enjoy this family celebration because they are truly one giant family whether they are related by blood or not.

I loved the chaos surrounding Jade's wedding and how all the siblings were incorporated. My husband had to ask why I was laughing a few times. I can't wait for Dixon's book!!!

Wow. How could I not give this a 5* after reading a catch up on all of my favourite guardians. This book news full of laughter and tears as Jade is on her biggest mission in her life. One that requires a high security clearance and one that is a need to know basis and some people don't need to know............yet!!!! If you have read the series of guardians up to date then you will relish this book but if you haven't then why not start. You won't be disappointed at all. A fantastic read of the characters we love. Roll on the release of Dixon. Well done the author on a great read.

Even though this is a novella, if you have read all the guardian books. It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon catching up with all of them. The love for each other is amazing and Frank's before dinner speech was priceless well deserved 5*****

Fantastic! Fabulous! I had to read this in one day! I could not put this book down! I have read each book in this series at least twice! This is the best series! Christmas with the kings was a wonderful story of love and family. Highly recommend this book! It will leave you so happy!

Dang! Kris Michaels, you rock! This book was a wonderful addition to your Kings of Guardian series. I laughed and wept as I read it. I cannot wait for Dixon's book - and I'll definitely be doing a complete re-read of all these books just before that happens. Awesome, awesome book.

I borrowed Christmas with the Kings ~ Kings of Guardian ~ Book 11.5, by Kris Michaels from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Jade and Nic are engaged and three weeks before Christmas, Jade calls a meeting with her sister, Jewell and her sister-in-law, Tori to help her plan a Christmas Eve wedding as every sibling, spouse and children are going to the ranch in South Dakota for Christmas. This is to suprise Amanda her mother. Let the fun begin...
Everyone gets involved so the secret is out; the number of bridesmaids changes from two to six, no seven or maybe eight, the number for the color of bridesmaid dresses has one letter wrong and they come in the color of baby poop yellish-green instead of red for Christmas. Flowers have to come from Rapid City, so someone has to drive up the day before to get them, the secret has to be kept from all the grandchildren because they tell Grandma everything. A bachelor party the night before leaves the men with hangovers and a missing groom. You get the idea and the wedding is uniquely a crazy Jade affair. It all ends happily and with another surprise on Christmas Day. This was a really fun read with no threats or battles, just family fun the Marshall-King way.

WHAT A WONDERFUL GIFT!!!!😁
What a wonderful gift this story was!!! There aren't words to describe how much I enjoyed reading it! That may sound overly dramatic but it isn't!!! After reading the entire two Guardian series.... Learning to know and love all of the characters from the many books in the series it was a wonderful treat to get to spend loving and heartwarming time with all of the couple's and their children! The story was moving and beautiful, with the usual humor and sexiness that Kris Michaels' stories always have but at the same time it was magical and satisfying in that they were happy and safe after all of their extremely dangerous adventures!!! To me all of the characters are like real alive people which is a huge compliment to an extraordinary author who has taken all of us on such an amazing rollercoaster journey!!! Do not hesitate to read this series you will be so glad you did!!!

The plots are fast-moving, with everything from high-risk rescues to international missions, but what really makes the series stand out is the loyalty, teasing banter, and the intense, heartfelt romances which gives all the action so much more depth.
If you like romantic suspense, military romance, or strong law enforcement vibes, intriguing characters, and a sense of found family, then this series is definitely worth diving into. It’s exciting, emotional, and just the right amount of addictive.

Something is going on and the matriarch can’t figure it out. What is going on and will she have the gathering she desires? These questions and more will be answered, or will they?
This series is a must read to truly grasp what goes on in Christmas with the Kings. An exceptional series, each book highlights one of the King brood. All are interconnected and together form a wonderfully energetic and captivating tale of intrigue, family and love. I highly recommend.

This is one of the best series that I have read, ever! What a lovely treat Ms. Michaels has given us to update us on the King family and friends.
This author has an ability to build multi-layered characters, stories and relationships to a degree rarely seen. Her attention to details on all levels and the complexity of her plots is impressive and entertaining! Each book in the series is unique and yet clearly involves members of this extended family throughout. This was a wonderful holiday update on the relationships within this family
And I can't t wait to see how the series expands, hopefully for a very long time!

This was a really quick read. I enjoyed it so much. How fun it was to catch up with everyone, find out who was expecting, who was getting married next, and who was possible in harms way. I have loved each and every one of the book in the Guardian series, including the dark ops. I have laughed and cried and hoped for each and every person. I feel invested in these characters lives. If you get a chance as a reader you should start at the beginning and read them all. I have done it more than once. I fall in love with them over and over again and again. This Christmas story was so good! Thank you so much for letting us share the holidays with Guardian.

This book reminds me why I love to read romance novels...... between the story line and the love of the King family saga you need to admit these people always pull through in the end. I really loved hearing the updates on all the different couples, the silly antics at a wedding and the love between Amelia and Frank. What an amazing book although I can't but hurt in my heart for Drake and his loss and loneliness with his twin being on an op without him.

catch up with the crew
A great addition to the series. No new bad case to pull a couple out and everyone is at the ranch except for Chief and Dixon. The surprise is sweet and fun and extremely well planned. Seeing the love and humor between everyone is one of the highlights of the series. There is some foreshadowing and some aspects I hope to see in future stories as well. I can’t determine a favorite couple, but I sure did love to hear about the underground part of the ranch, the exciting news for several couples and just how the relationships have developed!

Love, love, love the series but really not a fan of this short. It’s Christmas and the first time in forever all the King and Marshall kids are at the ranch for the holiday. Most of the characters are running around keeping a secret from Amanda that shouldn’t be spilled before it’s time!
A fairly fun outing with each of the couples getting a chance to express their love, coupledom and hints at their desired futures. However, to my taste, this outing of humorous scenes and a treat for dedicated fans, was filler filled filler.

Guardian know how to celebrate!
What a pure delight to enjoy this family’s celebration at Christmas time. Jade is determined to surprise her mother but needs her family to achieve this. I really enjoyed the interaction between the ladies but it was so priceless to read about the antics of the children. This story is certain to put a smile on your face as you revisit some of Guardians most intriguing characters. Brilliant job by Kris Michaels!

A not to be missed Christmas story that includes all the Kings and their respective spouses and significant others. Loved how each King and their POV was included and an introduction to a new set of twins.....I hope we get some stories for them too....and a bit of an update on those of the family that couldn’t be there to celebrate with them all❣️ Can’t wait for more in this series and I had some good laughs that made it an entertaining read too😍

Christmas with the Kings was an extremely enjoyable, engaging novella. That drew me in and held my interest throughout, even though I'm not up to date with all the stories in this series. But it was a great read. That was fast paced, full of love, fun and Christmas spirit. And it was really nice to catch up with everyone in this series, and anyone who is a fan of the series is sure to enjoy this Christmas novella.

Sweet story.
Although this had none of the suspense I love about this series, it had most of my favorite people and a crazy event that only Jade could inspire. This is not for those who haven't read the rest of the series, but if you have, this was a sweet behind the scenes kind of look at the family, blood related and otherwise. It was still missing Dixon, as was the last book. I can't wait to get his story.

WOW! This was a funny and interesting story. Jade getting married - Whoa! I love Jade and her sassy attitude. Nic definitely calls her when needed. The guys getting very drunk before the wedding was enthralling as was the wedding itself. It's just too bad that Chief and Dixon were not there. A lot of surprises happening in the story. FANTASTIC job Kris! I would recommend this book!

I have to say, after following this family and becoming so invested in the lives of each of them, this story left me snotty and breathless! So much love, so much emotion! God, if only…

Short, sweet and just what Santa ordered...
... a Christmas story about the King- Marshall extended family. It makes you want to be a part of them. Such fun.
The author was right to say if you hadn’t read the ones prior to this you wouldn’t understand the characters and dynamics but it is a great story.

Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling
Awww so many happy feels from this book, Christmas, kids, family and surprises. The King family all come together in this Christmas special its filled with so many emotions as the family celebrate and remember those lost to them.
Now I can't wait for Dixon to come home so I've got to get reading.

So many authors write series but never keep the readers updated on the ongoing lives of the previous books. That is one of the things I love about Kris Michael's books. She keeps you informed on all the characters.
This book is a great story with all of the "family". I laughed out loud and cried at times.

Thank you for this Christmas story. I love Frank and Amanda’s love story. Gabriel and Anna are not far behind. Gabriel js the soul of Guardian. The Father of Guardian . This story brings all the families love and devotion to the front and center.

The Big Secret
O this was a wonderful book…. So glad I’ve read them in order and got the back drop on all the characters. Loved catching up with them, and seeing where all the couples are now. Not necessary to read this one, but I’m a stickler for reading in order. Great to see all the Kings in one place and jade was outstanding with her organisation. Brilliant quick read.
