She never meant to fall for someone she can’t have. He never meant to let her.
Bree Grayson lives a simple life in her small Tennessee hometown. She works as a maid with her mom and flags at the local motocross track on the weekends. It’s good money but it won’t get her out of Hopewell. She’s determined to make something of herself, but she’d settle for something—anything to get her out of this rut. Zach Pena’s notorious motocross fame crashed and burned as quickly as he had risen to the top. He let the fame get to his head and the partying and girls took over his life. Now he’s off the race team. Determined to get back into the sport he loves, he moves back home to spend the summer focusing solely on motocross. Girls are off the menu. And then he runs into Bree. She’s gorgeous and sweet and everything he shouldn’t have this summer. He doesn’t recognize her as the girl from his childhood, but Bree knows exactly who Zach is. She’s only had a crush on him forever. She knows he’s a womanizer and too hot for his own good, but he’s fun. Bree doesn’t expect to fall for someone she can’t have. And Zach doesn’t expect to be pulled back into his world of fame before the summer is over. Will Bree finally be the girl to tame his wild ways? Or will their romance crash and burn?
Taming Zach is the first standalone book in The Team Loco Trilogy, a series of flirty, sweet NA contemporary romances. Contains steamy scenes, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after.
Amy Sparling is the USA Today Bestselling author of books with swoony first loves and heartwarming endings. She lives on the coast of Texas with her family, her spoiled rotten pets, and a huge pile of books.
By day, she works as a librarian, and by night you can find her curled up with a book–either one she’s reading or one she’s writing.
Amy Sparling is the pen name of author Cheyanne Young, but she’ll answer to either name!
This was my first time reading a romantic novel that did not have anything new from the world I know. I usually read books what have either fantasy, dystopian, sci-fi, different cultures etc. Because of that it sometimes felt like a hallmark movie, you knew what would happen in the end. But, isn’t that kind of why we read these kind of books anyways? It is nice to sometimes just dive in a story without too many new details. I like clean romance, I don’t really enjoy reading thing in detail. When the story line took me there I got a bit frustrated. It was not the ‘clean’ I was hoping for. BUT it was easy to just skip that one part, and I didn’t need to know all the details for the rest of the story. So Yay :)
I had high hopes for this story but I felt like Zach wasn't portrayed very well. The whole point of the story was supposed to be "taming" Zach but it didn't feel like any taming was needed. I think the story would have been better just written in third person. The story didn't have any meat to it. Not much happened. We didn't get to enjoy the characters falling in love. It was like they met, we were told they were infatuated then suddenly they're in love and he messes it up. It's a shame. It could have been a really good book. I loved the Motorcross theme.
This book was so stinking cute! Some books jump right into the characters being "in love", with this book, you got to experience the character development first, then really appreciate their journey toward having feelings for each other. I'm super excited to read the next book in the series, Amy Sparling is a fantastic writer!

⭐2,5⭐ INFUMABLE. Nada, NO recomiendo.
I have been in a slight reading slump for a while. I was reading through books but it has been a while since one has sucked me in so much I wanted to stop everything and read it. This book changed all that. I was sucked in from the first chapter and found any time I could in between work and life to read it. I was able to finish it in a 24 hour span of time and I still think about the book even though I finished it.
I loved Zach, I found myself following him and wanting him to have his hearts desire. Everyone messes up but I am glad he saw his issues and was doing what he needed to change it all.
Bree was such a sweetheart. She had that girl next door feel and I loved following her side of the story. All the emotions that swirl within her, I felt right along with her.
I love reading these motocross romances, I find them to now be my guilty pleasure. I was around the bike scene for a little while so I was able to reminiscence on my own experiences, though not as awesome as this book, while reading through the pages.
If you are looking for a sweet and slow burning (kinda) romance then this book is for you. Get ready for tons of a smile and a warm heart as you turn each page!
Bree had always wanted Zach to notice her but never had any luck, until one summer. Zach isn't excited to be home for the summer especially since it means he won't be making any money to help out his mom. He promises himself to not let himself get distracted by girls during the summer. Bree is surprised to hear that Zach is back in town. When they see each other Zach can't believe how beautiful she is and wants to spend time with her but she doesn't. Zach knows he shouldn't pursue her but soon his promise to himself flies out the window. Bree can't believe that Zach is spending time with her, but when things are great Zach gets a call that changes everything. Bree can't believe she let herself fall for him when he's known for loving and then leaving. Zach wants to have Bree in his life again but doesn't know how. Will Bree ever give Zach a second chance? Is Zach going to change for better?
I was looking at this book for a while. Could not decide if I wanted to buy it and if that theme (regarding motobikes) is for me. But when the author offered the book for free, I was more than happy to read and review it.
The book is about amateur-pro dirt biker Zach and a girl Bree with so many expectations and dreams to fulfil, but not so many options to do it.
It was easy and nice read for a lazy afternoon, I finished it in approx. 3 hours and had a good feeling aftermath.
The only reason I could not give 5 stars to the book is that their relationship developed too fast for my liking. I better enjoy hard to get girls and guys who put more effort. The story felt a little rushed, it could be a bit longer to see their relationship more. Anyway, looking forward the next book in the series.
Taming Zach is my first book by Amy Sparling and it won't be my last. I picked up this easy to read romance with the plan to read for just an hour, but didn't put it back down again until I'd reached the end. This is a feel good story that you can become consumed by and forget about the world around you. There's no drama and no tension. It's one of those stories that has you falling in love with the characters and leaves you feeling all warm inside. I loved Zach and Bree so much that I hope the author writes a sequel to their story so we can catch up with them a few years down the line and check that they're still together and have achieved their dreams. Amy Sparling is an author I'll be keeping updated with, and one who is now on my one-click list. I definitely recommend this 5 star read!
Taming Zach (Team Loco #1) was another great read by Amy Sparling. Bree lives in a small town in Tennessee, where she lives a simple life. She is a maid with her mom and works at the local motocross track on weekends. She wants to get out of her small town and make something of herself. Zach is famous in the motocross world, but his fame is seeming to crash and burn. He returns to his hometown to try and get back to the sport that he loves. I really enjoyed reading Bree and Zach’s story and can’t wait to read more by Amy Sparling.
Ahhh these girls who don't wear makeup, they are so gorgeous, right? And if they are also mean it's just a guarantee they will get the guy.
And what a guy! A true prince who fights for her despite her tantrums even though his mom warns him to stay away from her cause she is too good for him. His mom. And he is her only son. And there is a girl who is TOO GOOD FOR HIM. That's just credible af.
Young girls really should not read books like this. If you keep turning a guy down, he will get the message and move on. If he won't, he is either dumb or creepy.
I'm not normally one for motorcross, but I like the sound of this one... Zach sounds rather yummy, and he back home for the summer after losing a race... Bree works at the motocross track back home, and had a crush on Zach back in school :) This is their story about trusting one another, and falling in love ..
Sweet story about falling in love. Zack and Bree together are so cute. I think the characters are all very well written. It was an excellent story of what young adults falling in love should be.
Read this book in a few hours. Characters were funny, great writing, loved every word. Would highly recommend this book to anyone. I read through kindle unlimited. But would have quiet happily paid for the book too.
It was mediocre. The writing was rather bad and the romance in the book felt rushed. There was cute moments and if you’re looking for a fast and easy read, i recommend. If you’re looking for something with depth, this is not the book for you.
I loved how she put him in his place and how he realized became a womanizer and needed to change for her. Once he decided to change, she didn’t want anything to do with him.
Zach and Bree have the usual start in most of these types of stories, but despite that Amy Sparling still manages to keep the reader interested and engaged.
