Super boring book, but that was not the author's fault. I just don't enjoy reading about researching. The whole quantative versus qualitative thing got old. Although, Houser does give good information on the differences. This book was required for my reseach class in school.

This book was required reading for a course I took. The subject matter was not always the most interesting to me, but the writing still of the author is what really lowered my rating. He really too the concept of “tell them what you’re going to tell them” to heart. For me there was too much of “in this other chapter we will…”. Still, it helped me learn some things, so two stars it is. I will not be doing a reread any time soon however.

This book was helpful with an easy layout for a quick read. I didn't get enough information about the types of qualitative research--such as grounded theory, etc. I did like the information in an easily put together book with appropriate headings and flow of information.

I was forced to read this horrible book for a course on research at UMASS BOSTON. It was poorly written, and made no sense. It was only picked because Houser was the ex head of the department
