The photos in the identification guide are exceptional. It shows you each plant in all its forms and in full vivid color. This is imperative for proper field identification. I feel safe with this book as my guide here in colorful Colorado.

This is a fantastic resource for foraging. It covers a lot of plants and their variations, tells you where they grow, what you can eat, and when to harvest them. There were plenty of plants that I did not recognize in this book, but I learned how many plants, that I see daily, are edible. I subtracted a star because there were quite a few plants listed that had no picture and I would have loved some recipes or medicinal uses for each plant.

This is the best book on edible plants I have ever found. It's specific to Idaho, Utah and a few other states. Multiple pictures of each plant so they're easily identified. Great instructions for each plant. Comprehensive and backed with personal experience.

The pictures were absolutely beautiful and it was super informative. This is the perfect book for anyone who wants to get into foraging. I would say it's a 5/5 for those who intend to use it to start foraging.

I figured this is the type of book that should be on my shelf when the power doesn’t return.

Fascinating and utterly delightful introduction into some of the "weeds" I have battled in my back yard for ages. Thanks to Caleb Warnock, I have now learned to appreciate their many virtues--plus, I have added a healthful component to my daily diet. Win-win. The photographs in the book are stunning and worth lingering over, when I cannot be outside to enjoy the real thing.
