This was a lot more for me than the Unicorn one (which I read last year). Even though these silly little reads seem silly and little, the messages behind these fun illustrations and few words are big and definitely not silly. I read this one on a particularly awful weekend when my anxiety was high and all my focus was in the future and even though reading about an independent, free and fun mermaid didn't turn my weekend around... it definitely made me smile and I even teared up a couple of times. Some of these words I just really needed to hear! I feel like Sarah Ford's books are great to have in your every day bag wherever you go in case you need something easy and simple to focus on or maybe it's a little chuckle or an encouragement. Doesn't matter. These books do the job and this one has so far definitely been my favorite.

Tahle útlá knížečka nám krásnými ilustracemi a skromným textem představuje původní nezávislou mořskou pannu a pokud se budete řídit vším, co mořská panna dělá, budete stejně úžasná jako ona – nezávislá, silná a svobodná :-)

Knížečka pro povzbuzení i pro pobavení pro všechny dívky, slečny a ženy. Je milá a potěší třeba jako dáreček.

It's amazing how such a small gift-like book can be so great and inspiring! I love, love, love it! I bought it for my best friend (she really is like that mermaid), but I am seriously considering buying it for myself, too!
