TYLER
I knew being an omega would get me fired one day, I just never thought hiding it would be the excuse they needed. Irony, you suck.

For years I was their best employee, right up until their new alpha hire smelled me in heat. I could’ve kept my job by playing his game, but I’ve spent my whole life running from my biology. I have principles.

I also have bills. Which is the only reason my desperate search for a roommate ended with a grizzled alpha veteran, Stefan. Brooding and damaged from years of battle.

My biology and I are not on speaking terms now.

But who needs words when you live inches from an alpha who looks like that? I was just kidding myself, pretending it wasn’t inevitable, our wild night of passion that ended with me pregnant and freaking out. And kicking him out. Look, mistakes were made.

Now I’ve got a new job with tons of stress, a baby on the way and a wannabe mate who doesn’t know he’s gonna be a dad. All because I’m paranoid he’s gonna take the baby and leave me. The way everyone else has.

Maybe its why I don’t listen when he tells me my new job is shady. Why I’m so eager to prove him wrong. To prove myself right.

Except I hardly ever am…

STEFAN
I was the best of the best, and now I’m nothing at all. A broken alpha who can’t even get his omega roommate to look at him with need. Desire. Hunger.

I don’t know why I thought things would be different with Tyler, but I did. There was an undercurrent to the way he avoided me in the mornings. A tension when he said he didn’t need or want an alpha. Want me.

Or so I thought, but one frantic, amazing night together and its like he can’t even stand to look at me now. I try and keep my distance. Give him what he wants, even if that’s not me.

But something about his new job pings all my alarms. Instincts that’ve kept me alive all these years. I wish his work was everything he wants it to be, but deep down I know better.

I just don’t know how to convince him before its too late…

This 50,000 word mpreg novel about wounded werewolves has a HEA under the mistletoe. Just be eighteen and up, or its onto the naughty list for you!

Tyler is an omega who has been living as a human for the last several years. But when a new Alpha at work outs him, after trying to force himself on him unsuccessfully, he needs a new job and a new roommate to keep his apartment. He never thought that roommate would be Stefan or that he would be his fated mate. After a wild night of heat infused sex, Tyler ends up pregnant but freaks out. When he calms down, is he too late to keep everything he had just thrown away with his Alpha? And is his new job really as good as it seems? Stefan is just paranoid, right?!?

This story was a fun read. Tyler and Stefan share a connection but they fight it for their own reasons at different times. But even while pretending to fight the attraction, they share intimate sweet moments. And when together, they share hot sexy times. The story is interesting with a military vet and an independent omega, keeping your attention.
I liked the virginal older alpha taking their first time as meaningful, don't see that often in books.
Oooh and the drama of the job situation.  I totally saw Stephan's point about the job. I wanted to yell at Tyler and ask him why he was not connecting dots. Very exciting to watch play out.

I received this book as an advanced reader's copy and voluntarily am leaving my honest review and recommendation.

This story just didn't work for me. Tyler is a super engineer coding genius who has been passing for human in this omegaverse. Tyler is not a very sympathetic character, he's doesn't ever really redeem himself in my opinion, with an ongoing self-centered rudeness he directs at poor PTSD veteran Stefan, who I really just wanted to hug and say....go find a nicer omega.
After Tyler goes into heat, he and his very new roommate Alpha Stefan have sex. Tyler becomes pregnant, they decide to be together and raise baby. But there's ZERO warm fuzzies for baby who seems very secondary/barely mentioned for a mpreg story. Plus....(this just didn't work for me, it felt very weird, even for advanced society..).......Tyler has the baby, C-section, get incision lasered up, they go home, put the baby to bed, and have full on energetic sex. For me, this wasn't a sexy section, it was just weird and off putting.
I liked the secondary story line, but it felt rushed, incomplete and again, Tyler is an idiot.
I usually like Liam Kingsley's books alot, this one just didn't work for me. sorry.
2 stars because I did like poor Stefan a lot.

This started out fine, and I liked both of the characters. I liked the idea of an insecure alpha and a headstrong omega but by the 60% mark I was so fucking done with both of them. Stefan moreso. He calls Tyler immature but I think Stefan is just as immature as Tyler is. These two don't know how to communicate and at some point it just gets to be too much. Use your fucking words! Jesus. I already know how this is going to end so I don't feel the need to finish it. I got as far as the we'll live together and coparent but we won't be together but hey lets have sex one more time just to "get it out of our system" before I wiped this off my kindle. Ugh.

Tyler works as an engineer. He’s the best engineer at the company and has been loyal to them for years. He keeps his identity as an Omega a secret, deciding to live his life as a human. There is still segregation between humans and wolves and Tyler just wants to live a normal life. All that comes to a screeching halt when the new hire, whose an alpha smells him in heat and gets Tyler fired.

Desperate for money, Tyler decides to get a roommate. What he did not expect when seeking a roommate was finding his mate. He never believed in fated mates but the pull he has to Stefan is undeniable.

Stefan was part of an elite Alpha unit in the military but an injury pretty much quashed his military career. Now he’s trying to adapt to civilian life and deal with his PTSD. He feels inadequate because as an Alpha he’s not as strong or fast as he used to be. Stefan is looking for a place to live and comes across Tyler. He instantly knew that Tyler was his mate. He never thought he’d find his mate. After everything that happened to him in the military he thought finally things were looking up.

Tyler made it perfectly clear to Stefan that he wasn’t looking for an Alpha and most importantly he didn’t need one. But there is no denying their attraction to one another and one night together changed everything. Tyler needs to focus on his new job and can’t afford distractions. When Stefan learns about what Tyler is doing at his job alarm bells go off and Stefan warns Tyler that something seems off but Tyler won’t be deterred. Things go from bad to worse and somethings just can’t be undone.

This was a very interesting story. I’ve read books on segregation between shifters and humans so as different as it is, it wasn’t all that different. I enjoyed the relationship between Tyler and Stefan. I understood Tyler’s reluctance in getting involved with an Alpha. Omegas weren’t highly revered by humans or shifters. Stefan’s struggles with PTSD showcased a real issue today and I appreciated that. My only issue with the book was the ending. I felt like it ended abruptly with no real resolution to the back story.

Tyler is an omega and a genius in programming. He;s been able to avoid alphas hiding as a human until the company he works for hires an alpha. In order to save himself from the idiot alpha he kicks him and runs out. He;s fired not from kicking the alpha but from hiding the fact that he is an omega. He goes a a few weeks bender till reality slaps him in the face when the landlord tells him he has till the end of the week to pay his rent. He hastily puts an ad into the paper for a renter. Stefan has been given a medical out of the military due to an injury received from a mass weapon of destruction. He sees the ad and goes to apply. When Tyler opens the door, Stefan is slapped in the face with the one thing he never thought he would have...mate. Tyler is drawn just as much to Stefan but is totally frightened about the qualities of an alpha. But he;s pushed into a corner since he needs the rent money. Then he hears from a friend from work about a job available and he goes for the interview. Then one day during his heat it overwhelms both him and Stefan. Shortly thereafter he discovers he;s pregnant. He lies to Stefan then can;t live with the guilt he feels. Then the job comes between them when Stefan feels from what little Tyler has told him that the job is actually trying to make another weapon to kill shifters. Things go downhill from there till his friend;s revelation.
WOW! Fantastic story with wonderful characters that have you rooting for them to get their happily ever after.

Stefan and Tyler are an unusual love story - an engineer and a military veteran.

Stefan is suffering from PTSD, mourning those he could not save, having nightmares over new friends and lovers and their deaths.

Tyler has spent life living as a human, so as the wall begin to come down and bring shifters into society, he is devastated when he is revealed as an omega, then fired.

Hitting his heat, he is surrounded by horny alphas who just want to breed, nothing more.

Tyler might be the perfect antidote to his needs a roommate problem, but he ends up being a complicated answer to his I am in heat problem.

Ah yes, then fated mates,

Of course, Stefan has nightmares of losing Tyler, and Tyler has fears of being owned and controlled by his alpha - not in a fun party way.

Stefan seems a bit paranoid.

So when he tells Tyler that Tyler and his team must be designing a WMD, Tyler thinks Stefan has gone over the edge.

Except truth is more awful than fiction.

They are in the end able to broadcast a warning, but not all are saved.

Love and betrayal are hard things.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Tyler and Stefan. Tyler is an omega who has been living in his world as a human engineer. Now they have hired a new alpha and he threatens him. When Tyler runs from the place he finds himself in more trouble then he thought. Not only is he fired the alpha said he came onto him so now he is outed as well. He needs help and renting his extra room is his quickest solution. Stefan is a alpha vet who wants a mate and a family but is sure no one will want him in his condition. What he needs though is a place to live first. When these two meet there is an instant spark. The problem is Tyler isn't looking for that kind of life yet. Can these two find a HEA or will there just be to much against them for it to work?

This is a really good story. It will have you emotionally connecting with these characters in a way you never expected. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say that this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Tyler is working for a tech company that hires mostly humans, but will hire specific shifters. He's an omega living as a human and is caught and fired. He's no longer able to pay his rent, so he puts out an ad for a roommate.

Stephan is a war hero, injured by shifter killing technology and is an alpha. Because of his injury, he feels like he can't support a mate and is looking for a place to stay.

When Stephan moves in with Tyler, things get physical quickly and they both have to decide what's most important to them...being together or their work.

I really do love shifter romances, but I found that I couldn't get to a place where I was rooting for these guys. I found Tyler to have a huge chip on his shoulder that I don't feel he ever lost, even at the end. Stephan was at least in therapy and trying to do something about his emotional state, which I give credit for. The writing was great, as always, just found it difficult to be very invested in the MC's.

Terrible

Tyler is the most stuck up little snot and I can not stand him.
***Spoiler alert here***
This book makes it seem as though Tyler hides the fact that he is preggo from Stefan but no, he tells him as soon as he finds out, but he lies and says that it isn't his. Tyler makes rude comments about pretty much every one in this book, including his supposed good friend. To the point where he get jealous because she is in charge of a team he just got hired to join. Dude was hired the day before, walked into the room, and was automatically angry that he was not in charge. Making remark after remark (though most are internalized) about how incompetent everyone else is compared to him. He is rude to Stefan by stating that he only wants him for sex and nothing else. When Stefan goes to explain otherwise he just brushes him off. I ended up stopping this story because no amount of redemption can save this disturbing person. This books title is misleading and it ends on a cliffhanger. Much like Tyler it was a huge waste of time and an all around disappointment.

This is an amazing story and the best one of Liam Kingsley’s by far, this is the story of Tyler and Stefan. Tyler is an omega her worked for G-Tech but he was pretending to be human, a lot of companies wouldn’t hire shifters but Tyler was too scared to say anything only his friend Julia who was a beta wolf knew that he was an omega. Stefan is a retired veteran he was shot with a silver bullet in the calf and it exploded which sent fragments of silver up into his leg. Stefan was living in a motel room he needed to get out he was a very lonely alpha, he answered an advertisement from a man named Tyler who was looking for a roommate and shifters were welcome to apply. And that my friends is the beginning to a wonderful shocking story it made my heart beat faster with some of the scenes and of course the hot sexy scenes. Like I said this is an amazing story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Tyler is hiding the fact that he is an omega wolf shifter from his boss. When a new Alfa starts working at the company, Tyler’s secret is revealed and he loses his job. He needs a roommate to help pay the rent and so he posts an add.
Stefan is an Alfa wolf shifter wounded in the leg by a silver bullet, while on duty. He has constant nightmares about the attack that injuried him and several of his platoon and killed the rest. He needs a place to live and goes to see a room offered by Tyler.
Tyler soon finds a new job and is working on a device that he is told will help all shifters.
After one night of passion Tyler is left pregnant and Stefan is overjoyed.
Stefan is far from happy when he realises just what Tyler’s new job involves and this causes a deep rift between the two men.

The story was the perfect premise for an omega, Tyler, to come to terms with what he is. In their world of segregation, anti shifter work force he has been playing a human for a while. Until his first heat. Lies and accusations get him fired. Needing a roommate an ad goes out and in walks Stefan. Injured vet and alpha shifter who needs to get on with his life. What was not planned was finding a fated mate. The story was well written and follows their life together in staying only roommates, lovers, or fated mates. The backstory of their relationship is Stefan dealing with his past and the new job that Tyler has. Something is not right with Tyler's job and what he is building. Stefan sees it but will Tyler see it before it is to late for the shifter world. Great HEA, and the friend they have.

Tyler lost his job and needed a roommate enter wounded veteran Stefan.
Omega Tyler loses his job due to the vindictive lies of an alpha he turned down and put his knee in his privates when he wouldn't take no for an answer. His lose of income had him advertising for a roommate to cover the rent and wounded veteran Alpha Stefan applies. From the start they are pulled towards each other until they give in and Tyler gets pregnant.Tyler had found a new job in a new company but the more Stefan hears about it the dodgier it seem but Tyler think he is bias due to his injury. A MM MPreg romance to relax and enjoy.

I really enjoyed this story. Tyler and Stefan may have taken the long road around to figure out their relationship but the story was very good. I really like Stefan a lot and wanted to wrap him in my arms several times. The technology side of the story was different and I feel gave the story just what it needed to make it stand out from other shifter stories. I look forward to the next book in this series. The narration however almost had me not finishing this story on audible and just reading it. There wasn't time to even take a breath between one chapter and the announcement of the next one, the voices never really change and some words were mispronounced. It almost felt like the narrator was just trying to get through it rather than telling a story he wanted you to listen to.

Loved this book. Lots of page turning twists and edge of your seat drama. An independent omega who is also a workaholic looses his job and has to take in a roommate in order to keep his apartment. The only one to check it out is an alpha that thinks he is too damaged to be a good alpha/mate. Tyler doesn't believe in fated mates and denies the attraction he feels to Stephan, until he goes into heat. Can these two figure things out? This is a must read with an excellent well written story line, great characters and strong steamy chemistry.

This is one of those 'you're my mate, the first time I see you I want to be with you' type of books which I'm most of the time OK with if it is executed correctly. It started interestingly with the segregation and the problem of wolves being part of the society but then when the two main characters meet it starts to become very cliche. I liked both of them but I wished the book would have been longer in order to get more personality on the characters. Plus, the ending was a bit rushed and left almost half done - like I wanted to know what would happen next. I felt they spend more time apart than together.

2.75 stars? There was a LOT of stuff going on here -- not all of it good, not all of it bad. I really liked the stuff with Stefan and his group therapy and Jon, but Tyler is really so much more pushy than he needed to be. He's really pretty crappy at communication, and I just wasn't crazy about him most of the story. And the ending was rather abrupt...maybe it's better being able to read the bonus material offered at the end of the story, but I've requested it twice now and nothing has shown up in my inbox, so I'm giving up and writing this review as is. Not too bad world building, but I don't know if I'm interested enough to read more set here.

Great quick read

I loved the storyline of this book it was great. Stefan was the perfect Alpha and mate, but I really didn't start liking Tyler until about three-fourths into the book. His lies and his overall immaturity in the way he acted and the things he said just left me wanting to throttle and find Stefan another loving mate. Despite Stefan's own issues and problems, he acted like a champ concerning Tyler and Tommy. I just felt like he deserved a better mate. But this book was beautifully written, and made of Tyler had more backstory where I could be understood his emotions I might've been rooting for him.

Tyler is an Omega who hates his role and subsequently gets fired. Out of desperation he looks for a roommate and is pleased when Stefan answers the call. Stefan is a vet who finds that his pension is not enough to cover his expenses so he moves in with Tyler. Stefan is an alpha and is convinced that Tyler is his fated mate. Unfortunately Tyler does not believe in mates because he is afraid of being controlled by one. However, after one steamy night he finds out his is pregnant. Will Stefan be able to help him overcome his fears and find their happy ending?

Started out slow then picked up. Tyler was a bit of a tool. He was very abrasive at times and I didn't like how he treated Stefan. Lying about something so important is not cool. I also found it off-putting that I loved Stefan and felt bad for him. He deserved better than Tyler. I liked his group therapy scenes and I'm glad he found a friend in John. I liked the way the story played out at the end but found it ended a bit too quickly.

Tyler runs add for roommate Stefan answers ad and recognizes Tyler as his mate. Tyler wants nothing to do with mating.

Tyler is a Omega who is very unhappy being one so when he is thrown out by the new alpha and fired he is in need of a roommate so he can keep his apartment. This is where Stephan come in he is a injured vet who’s pension is not enough so he contacts Tyler hoping to become his roommate. They meet and things start to get interesting. If MM is not your thing this will not be for you but if you open and enjoy shifter romances then give it a read.

I feel like I have a love hate relationship with this book. It has everything I normally love about Shifter books, but I hated Tyler. Frankly even Steph was a tad annoying and there is this big dramatic end that doesn’t get a satisfying ending. I think the author tries to flip stereotypical Alpha and Omega roles which could be fine, but it just made Steph feel whinny and Tyler detached and cruel. There is plenty of the things I like fated mates, knotty times, and babies which made it an Ok read.

Stefan is dealing with the loss of his physical well being and connecting it to his status as an Alpha and protector. Tyler cannot imagine ever wanted an Alpha and believes the stories of fated mate are just that, stories. Both have much to work through, and communication was a big one for both. I enjoyed the story until the end. The background story deals with Tyler's job and there was no conclusion. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I realy like Stefan, he’s a loving and sweet alpha who has been trough a lot. He falls for Tyler when they live together and after Tylers heat, Tyler is not nice to Stefan and breaks his heart. Tyler come accros like a selfish and spoiled boy at times. They work though they baggage for the baby. And they realise a lot about themself during this prosses. I like this book and Stefans just a sweetheart.

He was sacked because he would not give into the alpha as he was in heat. He needs money which is why he had them as a roommate. They are an alpha as well. They want him so they have one night together but it ends badly. He gets a new job but he is also having a baby. They know the job is not right. Will they be able to keep him safe?
