Full of action and intrigue, but I struggled to get fully invested in the story. Ivy is on leave from the fire department after being injured when someone from her apartment building goes missing and she begins a search for them with her best friend, Tim. As they search it becomes clear to them that someone is after Moe and it is a matter of who can find Moe first. There is quite a few discussions of faith and trusting in the Lord between various characters and the romance is slow and believable. I enjoyed that we had a villain’s perspective but knew there was also someone else involved and I was unable to figure out who until it was reveal. I was kept guessing.

Ivy is suppose to be on leave from the firefighters but cannot take it easy. Her best friend Tim tries to help just to keep her from causing herself more injury. They are searching for a Moe who has issues, maybe autism, before the crooks find him and kill him like they did his friend. Now they've put more people in danger including themselves. It's a matter of who gets to Moe first.

I just loved the way the author did the romance of Tim and Ivy. I loved Tim's protective instincts and how he loves her enough to yell at her when she does something wrong and admits her actions were stupid. I loved how Ivy came to trust in the Lord and came to love Tim without really realizing it. such a sweet romance!

There was a lot of action in this story. I always think it's good when I am totally shocked at "whodoneit." This book was no exception! The author made everything believable and wrapped everything up to my satisfaction (except for the issue on Ivy's career).
