Landing on Mars was not at all what I expected.
Barren, bleak, boring -- that's what I was expecting.
But I discovered I couldn't have been more wrong as soon as I ventured into the underground tunnels.
They were teaming with life.
Deadly life.
Huge terrifying centipede-thingies ate both of my co-workers, and I was next.
Until a big gray Tarzan-like alien with a huge chest (and an even bigger vine) came to my rescue.
These sexy aliens are still in the caveman phase.
They like to grunt, fight, and throw helpless women over their shoulders.
It's barbaric.
It's savage.

Little Green Men????
Mia Morgan just landed on Mars as a part of a rescue mission, only she turns out to be the one rescued by a not so little green man......He's a hunk of gray muscles bigger than she's ever seen and judging from the looks of things that's not the only large thing on the planet...
She has always had a very scientific view of things and this new form of Martian life that she has discovered won't be any different. She will be the first human to discover all the new and different big things on Mars that no one imagines exists.
Erotan has always been a fierce warrior and protecting this very strange being will be no different....She is beautiful to him and he can't wait to take her to his village cave and introduce her to his people and all the pleasures that can be had there....
The only living beings on Mars are being stalked though and Mia may just have the solution to that problem, if she can convince her Martian to take her to it that is.

You will love this amazing story. The characters are unique with fantastic personalities. This story will have you hooked right from the beginning.

They are to search for the missing scientists who were supposed to be there. Only her crew are killed and Mia is saved by the planets inhabitants. The Alien who saves her is strong and handsome.
Erotan is a Subcotan his people have always lived under Mars surface. Erotan finds himself wanting this spunky human woman. He believes she will make him a good mate!

Well now I wanna get stranded on Mars.
What's a girl to do when her crew is killed and she's the only one left on Mars freaking Mars. Well follow the hunky alien who saved her of course for research yeah research lol. Let me first start by saying I have very little experience reading alien romance stories. I have tried quite a few but they have never really caught my attention nor have I felt they were worth reading an entire series. This story; however, might have changed my mind. I LOVED this story; it was like a 1970’s campy sci-fi movie (in only the best of ways) brought to book form with a sex alien and copious amounts of humor and innuendo.
This is book one in The Barbarian Warriors of Mars series and I will be jumping on the other books as soon as they are available. It book is 14 chapters of fun steamy alien romance! I have never read such a fun and over the top campy read and found myself wholeheartedly enjoying every page. If ever there was a story made for pure entertainment, this is it! **Squeal in excitement**
Mia Morgan is a PENUS LOVR and is on the Mars for the first time. She has spent her entire life preparing for this moment; after all she doesn’t needs anything in life other than her science. Mia has been tasked with finding out what happened to the previous explores and why they lost contact with Earth. She lands with two other team members but soon finds that Mars in not altogether safe. She finds herself in trouble and is rescued by a handsome, very large (and I mean VERY LARGE) alien who makes her body come alive. Erotan is a warrior and his job is to protect his race from the large deadly centipede creatures that have been slowly progressing (aggressively) on his race; looking to destroy them altogether. I loved Erotan’s attitude toward Mia and even as an alien I felt his alpha maleness and his possessive and protective feelings towards her. They worked so well together; both in and out of the bed room.
While wanting to continue to do her job (report back to Earth that she discovered an alien race), Mia finds herself more and more connected to these aliens and wanting to help them out. She also finds herself more and more attracted to this buff alien and soon cannot resist him anymore. Who knew alien passion could be so HOT! Erotan knew from the first meeting that she was his so he did not need any time to adjust to this new passion between them. Mia is his mate and he is determined to claim her. With all the passion of an insta love romance, this alien world was a pleasure to read about, if these alien’s really existed, I can only imagine the mass exodus to Mars women would take to find an alien of their own!
What started out for me as a silly, over the top story filled with innuendos and humor became a real story. It had substance, well developed characters, a fun plot and was written amazingly well. I thought that this was just going to be an alien erotic story, but I got was so much more then erotic passion with an alien. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this story and if you are on the fence or I the story sounds at all interesting, take a chance and but this book. It is worth every penny! I received and ARC and am leaving an honest review but I also bought me a copy to put into my favorites file, because it was just fun to read!

Then reality sets in that should knows when and if she'll be rescued. The centipedes pose a serious threat to her, Erotan, and his people. Then she must juggle her love of science with giving into her natural urges when Erotan claims her for his own among his people.

I love a sexy alien romance, and when there’s some humor thrown in on top of it… well, it just doesn’t get much better in my humble opinion. I think my favorite alien romance books will always be this author’s Alien Barbarians of Zandipor series, but this book is a damn close second. Erotan is every woman’s dream man from Mars. He’s a fierce warrior and protector, a generous lover, a loyal friend, and it doesn’t hurt that his muscles have muscles. Hey, if you’ve got to be stranded on Mars, what better way to pass the time than with the Martian version of male perfection. This story is beyond steamy, but it’s also witty, heartwarming and sweet. It had an interesting plot, colorful and engaging characters, and extraordinary writing. I found this book to be not only highly entertaining, but damn near impossible to put down. Actually, I don’t think I did put it down. This was one of those rare books that I read straight through because I just couldn’t stand the thought of having to wait any length of time to find out what might happen next. I simply can’t recommend it highly enough.

Mia had been stuck on a space station with two jerks. Landing on Mars gave her space, no pun intended, away from these guys. What she didn't expect was to find life on this barren planet. Big--really big-- ugly bugs with pincers and a bunch of legs. Her inner voice said one thing. Run!
They were fast and she was afraid she was a goner. Then a humanoid male (no doubt about that) entered and her life would never be the same.
I really like the story. The authors have created a world where their language issues are handled, the problems are real, and the Martians are NOT little green men. The relationship with the people of Mars and Mia is interesting, funny, and complex.
There is plenty of steam, some humor, and characters the reader will care about. However, this isn't the end of the story. I'm anxious to see what happens next.

We were there to rescue the Mars mission, but who was going to rescue us. There was no one in the dome so we searched the underground tunnels. As we search we felt the ground move and giant centipede creatures came at us and attached. They ate two of my co-workers and came after me. I love this story of outer space beings and creepy bugs. It sure keeps your interest and keeps the pages turning. This story is fast pass and made me laugh in parts. I liked the way Kim Fox and Zoe Green writes and what an imagination she has. I give this book a five-star rating. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review. This is my honest opinion.

Space travel dreams.
A definite change of pace for Ms. Fox and I for one love sci-fi. The first few chapters are told from Mia's POV. She could only talk to Erotan through a communication device. I liked the believable depiction of Mars. I could see the red dust and desolation of space in my mind The attitudes of her male travelers were hilarious but neither did deserve the ending each one got. This was a fun read and I look forward to more of Mia & Erotan's Martian life (a HFN ending) with whatever other characters are introduced, like maybe more about Hotah. In conjunction with being given an ARC I am submitting a voluntary and unbiased review.

Funny acronym of Mia's job description started the book with a fun and sometimes gruesome adventure into the caverns of Mars. Meeting her first true martian Erotan was under horrific circumstances with life and death around every corner, but cave drawings and a unexpected Eco system has her science geek brain firing on all cylinders. Do I dare mention the Subcotans are very well equipped and I'm not talking about just there onyx swords. Fast, fun, sexy adventure through the bowels of Mars ending in a HFN lead into possibilities of the future. 4 1/2 Martian Loving Stars

Was not sure when I started this book, but I couldn't put it down. Loved this story. Mia is a sciences & she has just landed in Mars with two co-workers, they find a cave & go in to it, where they find giant worm like creatures, the captain ends up being killed. Things just get worst as they are chased. How's other co-worker runs faster than her but one of the creature came through the wall & killed him. Mia thinks she's next, but then Erotan saves her. The story gets better & better. Can't wait for the next book.

Something bad becomes something good. Mia is a female weaponless warrior, her rescue mission quickly goes awry. Erotan is enough of a bold warrior for them both. Her alien experience is risky and dangerous, she’s kinda stubborn and seems to prefer the learn the hard way method. Erotan is very patient with her & smitten, he is the type of alien that will make you want to go visit. Their story is humorous and I enjoyed learning about their world as they adjust to new experiences.

There are a couple of things that I found about the book that I didn't care for. First and foremost was the ending. It ended with nothing. There was a few sentences about continuing the story with a free sequel. Excuse me I paid for a book that I expected to contain the full story. The second was the description of a certain appendage, with that being said there was no way Mia could have accepted it without some problem unless she was an overused female. Remember this is just my opinion. Other than these two facts the book was good.

I enjoyed reading Mia and Erotan's story. This book includes lots of action and steamy romance with some humor thrown in (the name of the expedition is hilarious). Mia is on a mission to find out what happened to a previous team and to explore Mars. Unfortunately her two male coworkers are killed by some huge bugs. Erotan saves her. When she goes to his village with him, she is excited as a scientist to learn about his people. She falls in love in the process and finds a way to save his village from those huge bugs. If there were more books in the series, I would buy them.

I love a surprise series! When your expecting shifters and you get this sexy alien book, loved it. These sexy gray Mars guys were so sweet and welcoming to a lost astronaut. I loved the worlds that was created and it was so well written I had no trouble at all picturing the world they are from. It was sounded enchanting I wanted to get lost there myself. I hope we get to see more of this place and the wonderful tribe.

An interesting read. I giggled through out the entire book because I'm a child and love a good adult joke (which this book is filled with). I really want to explore that cave they are in in the book. And I can't wait to read the rest of the upcoming books. It was sweet seeing her come around to being with Erotan besides the scientist in her wanting to rebel.

A very interesting and entertaining. Especially when your expecting shifter and you get yummy alpha alien instead. There were a couple of laughable moment but so much more. Definitely a great start for a new series. So looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. Okay, I may be a little bias. I LOVE Ms. Fox's shifters so figured her doing an alien story with Ms. Green should be good. I was right. I was hooked as soon as I saw the acronym for the organization Mia was with. Come on, who wouldn't be want to work for Planetary Expeditions for Nature Undertaken in Space or PENUS for short? I can't wait to see what's next in the series.

Sign me up! If Mars has men like Erotan...I am ready to go! Readers are going to be absolutely enthralled with this sexy—yet somewhat campy—read. Great storyline; kickass alien characters; terrific action scenes with god awful icky centipede like creatures; and one of the best alien romances I’ve read. Mia is from earth and works for the plantary expesitory for nature undertaken in space she came to Mars with two others but and well that didn't work at so will they were attacked. She was saved by a alien warrior named Erotan .
Lots of action , drama, spice, mystery and more in this one. It was a fun story to read. If your a science fiction romance fan your going to love it. Great characters. Fun story line.

I’ve read a lot of books written by Kim Fox; as always she has written another good book. She is one of my favorite authors and I love reading her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
I loved the chemistry between Mia & Erotan.

Mia did not expect to find what she did on her mission. It changes her life dramatically. Erotan is protective and gives her the family she wanted.
I liked the book. I have read many of the authors shifter books and this one goes in a different direction. It is a good read and I look forward to seeing what the author does next with this series.

I liked the book and the plot was great. But the way Mia Morgan acted was barbaric. She didn't act like she had a brain in her head. This is not like any of the other books I've read by KF. I've not had the chance of reading any of ZG books to compare them to hope book 2 is better I'm still looking forward to learning more about the Martians

Suspense, drama, and heat. After many obstacles Mia has a husband and a life on Mars and all is going well. Of course, she has to make the mistake of returning to the surface when she's told of the US spaceship. Cliffy! You know no good will come out of this. How can they leave Mia on Mars? Throat punch for Mia's stupidity. The puns and play on words throughout the story are cute.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions about it.This book is a grrat read it had everything I look for in a book a strong heroine,a hot buff alien,danger and lots of steam.I was on the edge of my seat turning page after page.I would definitely recommend this book to any adult reader looking for their next amazing escape.

All of the supposed humorous double entendres and feeing affronted?
Did not work for me.
After the jaw aching wit of R Lee Smith or the intrusive of Anna Craven or the sheer other worldliness of Susan Trombley, this just left me cold and quite annoyed as it had been recommended.

Erotan was definitely not what I was expecting in a story from an alien match-up. I would have never guessed at how this story was going to be setup and play out. I really enjoyed letting go and seeing how a strong woman like Mia made it work. It was cheesy in some places, a hoot in others, and just a fun read over all.

I haven't read to many alien stories but I do love Kim Fox's stories. This one went kind of quick. Mia and her coworkers land on Mars to find out what happened to a crew that disappeared. While investigating a cave, tragedy happens. Mia is rescued by a Martian. It all goes fast from there with her falling for him.
