Response:
I liked this book. The pictures were beautiful with how colorful they are and the style. I love Paddington Bear so I especially liked this book. It is a good book for children to learn about opposites. On the last page is a small game where children should pick out what are opposites on that page. I would recommend this book to people who want to teach their children about opposites.

perfectly fine and would be good for any kids who recognize paddington from the movies. but there are other books that do the same thing that i preferred for my storytime group. i do like that at the end the kids can match the opposites discussed in the book.

Paddington's Opposites is a fun and simple book to use to introduce children to antonyms. The illustrations are nice and feature popular children's book character Paddington. The book would be good for an emergent reader as the vocabulary is very simple and limited to the actual antonym's themselves such as hot/cold wet/dry.

M had a confidence boost, understanding the opposites...I told her she was basically reading the book!

Would be good to share with a group. The pictures are large and colorful and the text simple. Paddington is, as always, funny and endearing this time through illustration rather than dialogue.

I arrived in England right at the height of Paddington fever, so I have rather a soft spot for the silly, lucky bear.

I actually like this Paddington. As opposed to the alphabet Paddington, this one would actually help children work with their opposites. They're all words that the kids will know, and it's not too long. I like it. It could even be used at a story time as we talk about pictures to look at opposites. But we could only do a few pages. And in this book, that would be fine.
